  • Meet Myles Christian, a former Seventh Day Adventist who has now become a missionary to SDAs. He's a wealth of knowledge with a deep, systematic understanding of SDA theology. Myles shares his personal story about hearing the true Gospel of Jesus which led him to question and ultimately leave Seventh Day Adventism. Our conversation covers a lot of ground: Was Jesus created? How does Jesus function in SDA? What is the limited gospel? Present truth? The three angel’s messages? The Great Controversy? and more. What draws people into SDA? How do people make it out of SDA? Common passages to use when witnessing, and resources for engaging with SDA friends and family.

@@DavidKing-qd3sp you completely do not understand what is salvific. God made the Gentiles right by His mercy and His grace through what He sent His son to do for us. You didn’t do that, you can’t do that and belief in what Jesus has already done for us is what saves us and not ones “performance”. Hebrews 10:14 Jesus is continually “sanctifying” those who believe. The issue with much of the Christian world is that they deceive themselves into thinking they serve God while they live according to worldly standards. They may accept certain behavioral changes but resist total transformation. To illustrate this, consider the experience of Mary: "When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, 'Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?' She said, 'No man, Lord.' And Jesus said unto her, 'Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.'"
Many Christians halt their understanding of the gospel at "Neither do I condemn thee...". However, the Holy Spirit, through Apostle John, states: "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth." (1 John 1:6, KJV)
In contrast, Adventists continue to read "... go, and sin no more." And how do they achieve the admonition "sin no more"? By abiding in Christ. When we prioritize Jesus above all else and keep our focus on Him, He transforms us from within, He changes our nature, He empowers us to "sin no more." "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."

Thank you Prof. Solberg for inviting Myles to your channel. He does an awesome job of refuting Adventism’s false gospel and world view. He teaches the one Gospel where many former SDA desire to reform and change the church, having one foot still in Adventism. He’s absolutely correct, they are cursed and fallen from grace. Some actually believe God has called them to reform the church but Paul warns about talking to them, lest you fall into their sin. We can and should present the Gospel to them, but when they deny it, we should dust off our feet and move on. It’s not healthy to engage with them unless one is very grounded in Orthodox Christianity. It’s their world view they use to bewitch people into their false gospel. 1 Timothy 1 tells us that these wanna be teachers of the law do not know what they are talking about.
It was through many of your UA-cam videos and teachings that enabled me to fully depart and walk away from Adventism.

The days are fast approaching when there will be great perplexity and confusion. Satan, clothed in angel robes, will deceive, if possible, the very elect. There will be gods many and lords many. Every wind of doctrine will be blowing. Ephesians 4:14 KJV "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;"
We live in terrible days, you need to study the word of God and do not let others deceive you. I come from being an atheist to a SDA member, this is the true church of God, this is my testimony.

As one who sincerely left the SDA church as a young adult, and then studied my way back into the truth, I want to make it clear that the Bible teaches us to lay "precept upon precept" and in this way that Bible absolutely teaches that God's perfect deffinitions of morality are eternal, the law is love [love God -- 4 commandments, and each other -- 6 commandments] and Lucifer and the angels absolutely lived under all the precepts of love as they were later written in stone. Greed [the love of money] is the root of all evil, and lucifer, the Bible says, claimed He would rise above God! Essentially it records that he says, "I will become the Most High God." The trouble is that according to SDA church's own history, we rejected the actual gospel in 1888. Since then the church has been divided, some Adventists understand the gospel and some don't. The key is to differentiate between legalism and obedience. Is there ANY gospel that teaches us to disobey? NO! The one and only true gospel teaqches us to observe all things over, and over, and over. "If ye love Me, keep my commandments." Any gospel that frees you from the call to obey is not from God! Not to mention how Rome, AFTER caliming to be ABOVE Jesus Christ and Bible, INVENTED SUNDAY SACREDNESS. It is historical fact. The 7th day Sabbath was never changed by God. "I change not." Jesus said, "I have not come to destroy the law nor the prophets, but to fulfill [establish and obey] the law."

I’m a sabbath observing Christian who has been massively impacted by Myles’ work and am in the midst of looking for a new spiritual home. So far I’m gravitating heavily towards orthodox Anglicanism. Either way what he is saying about the SDA church is spot on. There are a lot of sincere true gospel believing Christians in the community that have no idea what the core doctrine of the organization teaches. It’s just a shame there isn’t a more readily available home for those of us who have individual convictions on sabbath observance outside of the SDA church. Thank God for the love and warmth that my brothers and sisters in Christ have shown me as I transition out. It has made the move so much easier as I feel an ease in my conscience that I am returning to the true body of Christ.

infallible leader, special message, us vs them, control of how you think act or feel, special status of the grp, shame and guilt to control via sabbath, focus on new members, and of course the one true church.

Looking back now at Adventism I can't believe I wasn't able to notice it being such a cult while I was inside it, because it has so many things going for it to put it squarely into the cult category: Special writings, special prophet, infallible teacher, a unique message, elevating Satan, a different gospel, they are spiritual Israel, the one true church, present truth, only church that keeps the commandments, the true church had to start after 1844, everyone else is part of the beast power/antichrist, making us the ones that save God from the rest of the universe, and I could keep going on...

According to you Paul taught the dangerous beliefs of Torah-ism...... Here Are Examples Of Paul Keeping Torah:
      * Circumcised Timothy (Acts 16:1-3)
      * Took the nazarite vow (Acts 18:18; 21:17-26)
      * Taught and observed Gods holy days such as:
      * Passover (Acts 20:6; 1Cor. 5:6-8; 11:17-34)
      * Shavuot (Pentecost) (Acts 20:16; 1Cor. 16:8)
      * Fasting on Yom Kippur (Acts 27:9)
      .
Paul and others made a Temple sacrifice for their Nazarite vow,
      .
So Paul went to the Temple the next day with the other men. They had already started the purification ritual, so he publicly announced the date when their vows would end and sacrifices would be offered for each of them. Acts 21:26
      .
      .
      Paul kept the Sabbath
Acts 18:4 - And he (Paul) reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.(Gentiles)
      .
      .
Paul taught that a believer in Yeshua the Messiah is saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
      .
After we are saved by grace through faith, Paul taught that we should follow the Torah (Romans 3:28-31).
      .
      .
Paul followed the Torah through the help of the Holy Spirit (Romans 7:22).
      .
      .
Paul did not teach people to observe the law in order to be saved or justified.
      .
      .
That was not the purpose of the law.
      .
      .
He taught them to observe the law in order to honor God as they walked out the Christian life in the footsteps of their Lord Jesus.
      .
      .
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep HIS commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. .....1 John 5:2-3 KJV
      .
      .
I dont have all the bible answers but IF Messiah declared the unclean, clean, by abolishing the Law of Elohim His PERFECT TORAH, Psalms 19:7, Instructions, Teachings for righteous SET APART living in this evil wicked world then HE SINNED by transgressing Deut 4:2 AND that would make Isaiah a False Prophet for making this end time prophesy of Messiahs return ….. Isaiah 66:15-17
      .
For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
      .
16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
      .
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one [tree] in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

I'm realizing (now that I've heard more SDA catch phrases & doctrines) that I've gone round & round with SDAs here in these very comment sections on this channel. Interesting too that they don't like to reveal upfront who they are/what they believe.
It's also kind of a red flag 🚩 now on the ones who go straight to & like to hang out in Daniel &/or Revelation &/or anything endtime-y.

Why do we as a people, feel the need to complicate the simplistic. Jesus message to us was as simple as it gets. Believe, repent, follow, love. But yet we have the Torah observant, and SDA’s and the Mormons etc, complicate it and twist it. Why not accept the simplest path?

Because Jesus said to Mary in John 8:11 KJV "...Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." Do not stop at "...Neither do I condemn thee:" = Believe, repent, follow, love. But also "go and sin no more", which means, repent, total surrender, love God with all your heart, put Him above everything else, cast down every idol in your life, allow Him to change you from within, obey the law naturally, trust Him for salvation.

All the American 18th Century Restoration Movements are so shipwrecked and kooky. Simple put stay far away from all of them. They have no historical basis and *never* learned Christ right.
Christ is Sabbath and SDA's are more akin to Mormons as they trace their roots right to them along with the Millerites and Jehovah Witnesses. All seeking to restore *secret* lost ways which are basic and grandiose errors never seen for 1,000+ years in Church History.
They love error and dive head long into it, repeating what should have already been known to them as folly. A stiff neck people wondering in the wilderness.

As former SDA members, we must financially support this ministry. C. Myles should be launched to a more comprehensive media like a broadcasting network to spread and preach the real gospel. To help mostly SDA members get out the mess and bondage of a hybrid gospel that is polluted with all the debris of the old covenant into the new covenant. We cannot ignore what Jesus teaches us in Matthew 9-16-18 about the wineskins and the old/new garment parables. The vast lies of Helen White must be revealed to the entire SDA community. We must help SDA members to get back to the genuine gospel, experience the real freedom in Jesus Christ our Lord.

There are inaccuracies in this video and the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church are inaccurately portrayed here. For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.” Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “The righteous man shall live by faith.” However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “He who practices them shall live by them.”
    - Galatians 3:10-12
You can try to live by the law, or you can live by faith, but you can’t do both.
But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,
    - 1 Timothy 1:8-10
“The law is not made for a righteous man “, interesting…
    The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;
    - 1 Corinthians 15:56
    What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead. I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive and I died; and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in death for me;
    - Romans 7:7-10
“The power of sin is the law”, and one of the Ten Commandments given as an example of the law empowering sin.
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
    - Romans 6:14
Not being under the law is the key to not being the slave of sin.

It's not a revelation is distortion of the truth. Do you understand what Romans 8:3-4 KJV is basically saying: "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: [4] That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." ?
It says that the Law could not enable us to obey it, to live a righteous life, but that Jesus lived a perfect life, payed the penalty of our sins and enabled everyone who comes to Him to live to the standard of righteousness that the law requires.

I grew up an SDA, went to Adelphian Academy (Michigan), Andrews University college, and graduated from the SDA Seminary (M div). Myles is correct about many of the historical views of Adventists and he is also correct about their attempt to "appear" evangelical. I was pushed out of their ministry after serving for about 15 years when I concluded that some of their views regarding Ellen White and their "remnant" views attached to their organization were not Biblical. His commentary of Arian views held by the pioneers of Adventism is correct but may not be applicable to Adventists generally today. I was taught the eternity of our Lord Jesus when attending their seminary in the '60s. From the bio of professor Solberg it appears he is a Baptist. But there are lots of divergent views held by Baptists that I am sure he would not like to be associated with, but likely he agrees with the central doctrine of salvation by faith alone in the redemption secured via the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord. I presently attend a Sunday church that teaches that doctrine in almost every service for which I rejoice, however they also teach a few things I disagree with including some dispensational views (including the rebuilding of the temple at Jerusalem as a fulfillment of O.T. prophecy). I am closely aligned with professor Solberg's views on the Old and New Covenant as it effects practical matters but also interpretation of prophecy. I have found most of what he is teaching on the covenants refreshing and I have been there for many years. Many "Former Adventists" would be blessed to pay attention to professor Solberg's views regarding the "end" of the Old Covenant and how that Biblical teaching applies to 1948 and the return of the Jews. Another delusion! I do not know where Myles stands on that but it is another branch of Torahism. God bless and keep up the good work. Richard Hirst

In 2009, at the age of 46, I was saved out of Roman Catholicism when someone presented the gospel to me. I repented of that false belief system and turned to believing on Jesus Christ as my Saviour. The person that shared the good news with me didn't have to know all the nuances of Roman Catholicism, they just needed to know and share the truth of the word of God. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. IMHO it would be better served if brother Myles spent more time just sharing the gospel with the lost (as we are commanded to do) rather than wasting his time on apologetics (there's no commandment for that). Here's why: there's the gospel truth and everything else is a lie. I could spend many, many years studying all the cults (JW, SDA, LDS, Islam, Judaism, Roman Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc., etc.), but just like the person whose job it is to recognize counterfeit money, they don't do deep studying of false money. No, they have a deep understanding of real money, so when the fake stuff comes into their possession they know it's fake immediately!
Christians don't need to know the 'worldview' of the SDA (or any other religion for that matter), rather we need to diligently know the gospel, and we need to boldly, confidently, and compassionately share the gospel.
We don't need to "Answer Adventism", SDA's need to answer to God. And it's the Christian's responsibility to reveal the truth to the lost! That's how we are obedient, by doing the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

The Apostle Paul took issue with Jewish Christians who insisted that the gentile believers had to obey the Torah. Paul accused them of preaching a false gospel. Paul's gospel, which he claimed was received by direct revelation from Jesus, and was accepted in the non-Jewish parts of the Roman empire, became orthodox Christianity by the end of the second century. Therefore, I don't understand how SDA's gained a following in the nineteenth century based on observing the Saturday sabbath. It seems to me that Mrs White met with a different Jesus than Paul did.

    1. I am a New Covenant Adventist Minister. And while I agree with many of the points, most of your points come from “early writings”, which most don’t even read, the church seminary has rejected Last Generation Theology as you’ve described it, ever since Kingdom of the cults. (I just finished your book by the way Dr. Solberg. I liked it)
    2. Pre-creation fall of angels… while this comes from EGW getting this from other sources, Lucifer must have fallen before the creation, otherwise he would not have been in the garden and in the book of job. But the ideas about satan and the law in heaven is truly made up. And when the actual war took place is subjective and typological.
    3. There are 3 Adventism’s. A cultic right wing sda that worships pioneers and egw over scripture. Another left leaning humanist version. And then a balanced group that embraces the gospel but has yet to grasp the gospel of the new covenant entirely.
    4. Desmond Ford was correct. The IJ, and the close of probation perfection doctrine, and infallible EGW, last generation theology. These all need repentance for sure.
    5. Very few believe in the Arian beliefs any more at all. You’re basing these ideas on early writings. Adventism has changed since that time. But not completely. The Great Controversy in this vein of the commandments is ALL extra-biblical supposition based in EGW.
    6. God on trial has some biblical validity, but in the sense of the love of God, and the protection of the unfallen worlds Rev 12:12. Fixating on Satan is not good for sure. Arianism has been rejected now. Many of these arguments you are making have been rejected today.
    7. They don’t believe the Trinity is a physical being. That isn’t correct. They do believe they are three separate beings. This may be an Arian left over. I’ll have to chew on that.
    8. Herbert Douglas is ABSOLUTELY NOT our greatest scholar. He was a right wing theologian. If you want correct Adventism you need to read GEORGE KNIGHT.
    9. Did anything good come out of the 1800’s? Even the pre-trib rapture came from that era of nonsense.
    10. Diabolical council in outer space? What? Weird… no. Never seen that ever. You’ll need to document a source.
    11. Replacement theology is an old idea for Christendom. We believe it happened at the stoning of Stephan.
12, You’re correct in its gospel. I preach the new covenant and I openly oppose salvation by works. The Weslyian holiness doctrine together with historic Arianism and the law made for a deeply false gospel.
    13. Bro… I have never owned a Clear Word, no one ever never uses it. This is a false claim. There are plenty of real issues. No need to invent things. (The same could be made of The Message, which evangleicals do use for study)
    14. The sectarianism is for sure a horrible fruit. (To be fair, this is a common theme in Christendom) (fyi: I wouldn’t be surprised if Torahism came from people reading the book Great Controversy way back, lol)
I have been bringing the gospel for years now and take deep joy in leading people to Christ. And I have many say, “this is the first time in my entire life I ever thought there was hope I could be saved”. And broad brushes of judgment aside, this is indeed where God has continued to call me. And I am reorienting everything into the new covenant gospel. Including the end of the world and the second coming. The Lord is indeed coming, and the invisible church that know Him will hear His voice.
    Grace and peace brothers.

Your reply is on point and balanced. You're an Adventist Minister, I'm ex Adventist. Your observations match mine re the spectrum and splintering of the SDA churches. I got out because the particular Adventist Church I attended was as you described, hard conservative and EGW-heavy. Questions:
      1) If EGW is a source of prophetic authority whose writings were meant to unite the Adventist Church, how do you reconcile this with the approach in your church?
      2) As an SDA church, are they obligated to show links to the 28 fundamental beliefs? I know one left leaning church here in Metro Vancouver that shows no trace of it (and practically Evangelical in nature, but holding services on Sat mornings).
      3) What is the General Conference's take on all this splintering?

In answer to your first question, the reality is, the Adventist Church is growing more by what it doesn’t talk about then by what it positively affirms. I essentially have to risk my career each time I enter the pulpit in order to speak the truth about the new covenant. But the joy that I find in it is that people are like, those who are lost in the desert that love Jesus with all their heart, but don’t have any water, and when you give those that have ears to hear the water, they drink it down deeply.
And so what I mean in that, is that we just really don’t talk about it anymore. I have found that deconstructionism just creates resistance and enemies. And you shut people off from the gospel by trying to take away their idols. It’s much better to just preach the truth of Christ And the Paulian gospel then it is to try and rip error out of peoples hands. The Holy Spirit can do the rest of the work.
As far as the GC is concerned, the NAD doesn’t believe the same thing as the GC. It’s all about politics, and it pendulums back-and-forth. From Conference to Conference , you have different views. There is no centralized authority that doesn’t already have another centralized authority that disagrees with them. And so while some might view this as frustrating I view it with gratitude that at least some are risking it all for the gospel.
(The main problem I see is the third world. Simply because 90% of the people that do that kind of work are ultra conservative. Then the GC world church votes majority right wing as a result. As in all politics, moderates seem a silent majority. It would be wonderful if we had some more moderate gospel oriented people who went into those fields.)

@PastorShayne I suggest you are over confident about SDA doctrines changing. That hasn’t been my experience within the SDA church (raised in it).
Yes, Adventists try hard to disguise their doctrines to sound evangelical and say the believe in Christ Righteousness, but Myles is correct they use Christian terminology but mean different things by those words.
Now with most North American churches posting their sermons online, you can still hear the works based subtle slants coming out.
The last pastor I had, described grace as the power given to us to live our lives like Christ. Our faith in Christ enables us to live righteously. He also stated that grace offers forgiveness of sins - but you had to start using that grace to live a sanctified life. Other wise you lose your justification.
It was a subtle and subversive way of teaching perfectionism without saying it. He believed that when probation starts we live without a Mediator and therefore needed the power of Christ to live perfectly during that time.
You should reach out to Peter Dixon of SDA Q&A. You are the person who has a rosy perspective of Adventism he like to interview.
But I disagree with that rosy perspective… Ted Wilson is pushing Last Generation Theology and law keeping. The Investigative Judgement is still a fundamental belief. As is the authority of Ellen White.

    • @PastorShayne
      @PastorShayne 3 місяці тому +3

@@user-rg1ms6sj2k believe me, that is the first time I have ever had “rosy” attached to my perspective. It took me two decades to work through the bitterness of last generation theology and learn the new covenant gospel. =)
I don’t disagree with your points. I am only adding two exceptions:
      1. Gen-Z by and large cares little for the historic issues. Praise God
      2. There are more of us who embrace the entire gospel and reject these false doctrines than you might think; they are just careful to not get fired. You can usually tell them not by what they openly confess, but by what they refuse to preach.
Other than that, whats being said in this video and what you are saying was and is true. But the political fractures are WAY bigger than people realize just observing the GC; Wilson no longer represents large portions of western Adventism.
It is my hope and belief that a large number of true followers of Jesus will be found inside the Adventist church when Jesus returns just as did Elijah with Northern Israel.

The mercy seat represents Jesus Christ our mercy and the blood of sprinkling. And the Father and holy spirit overshadow and look down lovingly upon the perfect sacrifice. The mercy seat and angles was made of one piece of beaten gold that represents the triune Godhead. This is a quote from her estates website.
Contrary to some reports, Ellen White did not identify by name any of the "worlds" that she was shown in vision. Joseph Bates, a retired sea captain with a special interest in astronomy, was present during at least one of these visions, and he is reported to have identified the planets Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus as being among those described. Some have mistakenly linked Elder Bates' remarks to Ellen White's description of a "place" inhabited by "noble" and "majestic" beings. In Ellen White's own account of her vision, however, she says only that she was taken to "A PLACE" that was bright and glorious" (emphasis supplied). She does not identify "the place" as Jupiter, Saturn, or any other planet in our solar system. Here is her description: "The Lord has given me a view of other worlds. Wings were given me, and an angel attended me from the city to a place that was bright and glorious. The grass of the place was living green, and the birds there warbled a sweet song. The inhabitants of the place were of all sizes; they were noble, majestic, and lovely. They bore the express image of Jesus, and their countenances beamed with holy joy, expressive of the freedom and happiness of the place." Early Writings, pp. 39, 40.

Myles...you had plenty of time to prepare for this interview, so why didn't you find and produce your accusation that Satan was accusing God for making the 10 commandments unfair. What we teach is - Satan did not want to be subjected to any law of God which is common sense in the context of his rebellion. So, you twist our teachings for your gain. You stated that you are an introspective, deep logical thinker, yet you fail to quote us correctly which shows you never understood Adventism and that is why you left.
The 10 commandments did not exist in heaven for Angels cannot commit adultery (Mt. 22:30), nor can they dishonor their Mother, nor can they kill each other, etc. The principles of the 10 existed in heaven and those principles were applied and modified to meet man in his fallen condition. I still think you have unresolved father issues and a deep need for attention. And for the text you could not find - where Satan wanted to be equal with God - is in my bible - Isaiah 14: 12-14. And I have only listened to 5 minutes of your interview, so Myles, talk to a knowledgeable converted SDA Pastor and get your life back on track. And note this simple point - when you want to be like others and be above others as the text read - it is because you are envious and jealous. I question your conversion, spend your time uplifting the cross of Christ and stop tearing down other churches, it will pay greater dividends in the end. I wish you the best but you are no apologist for Christ nor Truth. And this interview by Rob does not speak well of his knowledge of Adventist theology.

Okay, the SDA church doesn’t need to depend on Ellen White and The Great Controversy at all to demonstrate that the character of God was challenged in heaven, because the entire idea can be found spelled out quite nicely in prophecy. So, let’s look at Revelation 5.
    Rev 5:1
And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
    Rev 5:2
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
So, a strong angel in heaven is raising a challenge here, asking who is worthy to open the seven sealed scroll in the right hand of the Father who sits on the throne in heaven. And so, in the next verse, we are told explicitly where the search for such an individual took place.
    Rev 5:3
And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
No man in heaven, nor in the earth, nor under the earth. So, let’s consider this “no man in heaven” aspect of the claim here in Revelation 5, because we should expect that any member of the Godhead in heaven should have been found worthy and able, right or right? I mean, if the Adventists are simply full of it and making up a silly alternative world view and all with no Scriptural backing whatsoever, but as we can clearly see, this prophetic narritive indicates that heaven and earth and under the earth was searched and there was found no one worthy to open the scroll. The greater question is why were they looking for character qualifications in the first place, because they just wanted to waste a lot of time in a meaningless endeavor, right? No, because this strong angel was leveling a challenge that no one was found that could meet it, even among those who dwell in heaven. And this failure to find an individual to meet this strong angel’s challenge caused John to weep much by his own admission.
    Rev 5:4
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
Why was John weeping, obviously because no man was found who could meet the strong angel’s challenge. But, we need to ask why the Godhead was hindered in this matter? Why wasn’t a member of the Godhead found worthy prior to this point in the prophetic narritive John is laying down here? Obviously, because no one in heaven, earth or even under the earth could demonstrate that even members of the Godhead were worthy to meet the strong angel’s challenge until Christ went to the cross and was allowed to have his character tested unto death.
    Rev 5:5
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Christ had to first prevail, because he wasn’t given a free pass before hand. Every detail of this chapter is attesting to the fact that even the character of God was in serious question before this point in the prophetic timeline of events.

    Rev 5:6
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
The reality is that Christ had to come to the earth and his character was tested unto death to make it possible for him to prevail and meet the challenge being put forth by this strong angel in the first three verses of Revelation 5. This is why one of the results of Christ’s victory on the cross is also mentioned in Revelation 12 as the casting down of the accuser of the brethren, namely Lucifer.
    Rev 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
    Rev 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
The accuser of the brethren is so called, because it wasn’t merely God who was being accused of being unworthy, Lucifer was arguing that no one could be found worthy in heaven, earth or under the earth to meet his challenge back in Revelation 5:1-3, remember? So, this isn’t just some dream or alternate world view of the Seventh Day Adventist church. It is right here in Scripture for all to see. But wait, there’s more.
    Rev 5:7
And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
    Rev 5:8
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
    Rev 5:9
    And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Notice, what is being sung here is a “NEW SONG, not an OLD SONG! Because before Christ went to the cross, no one could prove to Lucifer that anyone was worthy to meet his challenge. But, after Christ was tested unto death to qualify his character as being worthy, all of heaven broke out into a New Song proclaiming the worthiness of the Lamb, because this was a new discovery for the universe that at least one member of the Godhead, namely Christ the slain lamb of God, was as truly righteous and worthy as the Godhead was claiming to be. So, while one might argue that the Seventh Day Adventist church doesn’t necessarily have everything correct, their idea that Lucifer challenged the moral fitness of the Godhead is an idea that deserves a lot more serious consideration given what is written here in Scripture. Else, if the character of God were not under attack, why would Christ go through all the trouble of dying so the New Song of Revelation 5 declaring his character to be worthy could be sung in order to vindicate his character before the universe? And how else do you think Lucifer is staying alive in his open rebellion against God? God could crush Lucifer in the blink of an eye and end his terrorism on our planet at any time. Is it just luck perhaps, keeping him alive? Or at what point do we pause to recognize that Lucifer accused God of being an unfit judge; hence, effectively halting the heavenly court until the character of God in all three members of the Godhead could be vindicated? That might explain the real meaning for why God is looking forward to this great event in prophecy.
    Isa 45:18
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
    Isa 45:19
I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
    Isa 45:20
Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
    Isa 45:21
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
    Isa 45:22
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
    Isa 45:23
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
When every knee bows and every tongue swares to God, it will be in acknowledgement of God’s claims of being righteous. As we can clearly see, that day of universal vindication has not yet come, because Lucifer’s sin rebellion and accusations against God are still going forth and many in Christianity have become unwitting mouthpieces for Lucifer’s cause in this respect. Presently, only Christ’s character has been cleared and vindicated. The vindication of the characters of the Father and Holy Spirit are yet to occur. But, make no mistake about it, there is a day God looks forward to when his great name will be sanctified.
    Eze 36:23
And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

I have never met an adventist who believes basically any of this stuff. Where in Exodus 16 are the Gentiles? What is the context of chapter 16? It clearly tells us why God gave Israel the sabbath. Now, in the NT and the Gospel, where is the Sabbath day rest? It’s not Heb4 tells us that in the day we hear, believe, and accept the gospel we enter into His rest. Therefore there remains a sabbath rest for the people of God but no where in this verse does it say therefore there remains a sabbath “day” rest but a sabbath rest that we enter into by FAITH

Hi Kali! I agree that the Bible nowhere says that the Sabbath was changed from the seventh day of the week to the first. The first day is the Lord's Day, not the Sabbath. And the NT says keeping the Sabbath is permitted but not required of Christ followers. "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." (Col. 2:16-17).

Heb 4:11 Let us 👉labour 👈therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
These verses do not read to me as you are insinuating. The ultimate rest is at the resurrection when we are given a new body and heart with the Almighty’s instructions written on it. The Shabbat day rest is a blessing. I also feel you insinuate that Exodus 19 is why the sabbath was instituted, which is incorrect and solidifies my comment on isolating chapters and verses.
2Ti 3:16 👉All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:👈
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, 👉throughly furnished unto all good works.👈
Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, 👉To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: 👈bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
Exo 20:8 👉Remember 👈the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Jhn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. It’s not a burden to rest on the 7th day that has been set apart, I really don’t.
To be a disciple is to learn from your teacher and become like him, ancient times understood this concept. You train under that teacher until you are just like their actions and character. Yeshua is who we are suppose to disciple after, and he kept Shabbat. I don’t see the disconnect. It saddens me, really. Maybe it’s due to teachings such as SDA that teach those that keep Sunday are preparing for the mark of the beast, which is absurd.

@@williamdecamp7343 Gentiles is Goyim, which means of the nations. Anyone who did the Passover and put the blood of the lamb over their doorpost the death angel passed over. Do you think there wasn’t any Egyptians (gentiles) that did this? Think about it, they saw all these mighty powers of the Father, even the pharaoh’s advisers told him to let the people go, and to think no gentiles would have followed suit to do the Passover is a very narrow way of thinking. Gentiles are of the nations, those out of covenant. But once any come in FAITH and BELIEF they are now grafted into the vine no longer being a gentile.
om 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
Rom 11:12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
Rom 11:13 👉For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:👈
Rom 11:14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
(The branch that was taken out was the ones he chose to focus his plan of redemption on, the ones that went rogue and didn’t follow in faith and belief. This was all part of Yah’s plan to bring the fullness of the gentiles. He never only meant this for the “Jews” but for all of mankind to be grafted into Israel! 😊)
Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Rom 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
Rom 11:17 👉And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;👈
Rom 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Rom 11:19 Thou wilt say then, 👉The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.👈
(They were broken off bc of unbelief and bc the original branches didn’t have faith!)
Rom 11:20 👉Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.👈
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, 👉if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.👈
Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
Rom 11:24 👉For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?👈
Faith and belief isn’t just a NT concept, it’s always been about faith and the circumcision of an individual’s heart.
Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
We have to take the whole of scripture to understand the NT, not isolate verses or chapters and say this or that.
Heb 4:1 👉Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.👈
(Come short of what? What the whole of scripture is constantly speaking on, our blessed hope of the resurrection. What the law could never do on its own, but what Christ can do for us which is raise us unto eternal life. The chapter before is talking about the Israelites that wondered in the desert for 40 years and didn’t go into the physical promise land of Canaan. Comparing this to believers or nonbelievers that do not have faith and belief will also not enter into the rest, which is eternal life with the Father and son in the New Jerusalem.)
Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, 👉not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.👈
(This goes back to my former notes on Faith always being a requirement )
Heb 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, 👉if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.👈
Heb 4:4 👉For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.👈
Heb 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
(This right here only solidifies the importance of rest on the 7th day.)
Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Heb 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 👉For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.👈

Hi, would you guys mind doing a video helping me explain to Adventist how the seventh day Sabbath was perpetual at the original creation and not a physical 24 hours. The Bible says day and night with the first six days, but does not say this with the seventh day. I have come to believe that the sabbath Commandments weren’t given until Mount Sinai. How do I explain how the seven day cycle originated if it didn’t come from creation? Have you ever looked at all the different languages in the world where Shabbat is the word for Saturday/7th day? This is the case for so many languages. It seems like it must have originated from before the time of the flood/tower of Babel when everyone dispersed and God confused the languages. My Adventist friends consistently point back to creation as the origin of sabbath and the seven day cycle across planet earth in conjunction with the seventh day translated as Shabbat in so many languages throughout the world. I have watched your video on Hebrew three and four, which talks about Christ is our Sabbath. But even though I mentioned this they point back to the physical 24 hour origin of the sabbath at creation. Would you guys mind tackling this question? I have already listened to answering Adventism talk about how the seventh day Sabbath and the seven day cycle did originate from creation, but that the Hebrew for the eighth day also represents recreation. The problem is that nowhere in the Bible does it give us the permission to transfer Sabbath to the eighth day . I guess I just need some help. I come from an Adventist background, and most of my friends are still Adventist. God bless in your ministries! I would really appreciate it! Let me know if this question makes sense.

Hello, Seth! I think it's important to note that in Genesis 2, God did not bless the seventh day of the week; he blessed the seventh day of _creation._ He didn't return to work on the first day of the following week of creation. He was done forever. Also, Gen 2 contains no commands for mankind to rest on the seventh day. This passage is not prescriptive but descriptive; it tells us what God did, not what we are to do. Centuries later, He would command a weekly Sabbath, and it was modeled after His own seventh-day rest, to be sure. But notice that God only gave it to Israel, not all of mankind. He did not expect the Babylonians, Egyptians, Assyrians, or any other people to keep the seventh day Sabbath. The Sabbath was not a universal command. In fact, it was a command that set Israel apart from all the other nations on Earth.
      Blessings, Rob

Geez, I could never be an SDA because they’re purely vegan. Although, yes it’s healthy but it’s also good to eat white & red meat once in a while. They even prohibit their members to eat fish, when in the Bible, isn’t it JESUS CHRIST multiplied fish & bread.
Peeps, we shouldn’t be living in the Old laws. Remember, what JESUS CHRIST uttered in Matthew 15:10-11.. Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”
And also in Matthew 15:16-20.. “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts-murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
Yep, SDA religion is some kind of a cult. As a matter of fact, they have their own manuscript verses in which it serves like a Bible for them that Ellen G. White their founder has created.

Veganism is the opposite of health. We need meat. God ate meat. SDA health reform is eerily similar to what the WEF preaches too. And other pagan practices. Also EGW has a multitude of writings against meat and animal products. It’s actually pretty crazy
