This time of the British Empire was a nice moment. It was the most modern time at which the Empire was still huge and expansive. Most nations wanted to gain independence before the war but when it hit, the British contacted all its colonies and dominions and asked them to fight with them against Nazism and in return to be given independence. What occurred was a hundreds of thousands of Commonwealth troops participating in the war alongside Britain. It was like a happy ending for the Empire as once it was over, Britain began to set everyone free.

Dominion of New Zealand - God Defend New Zealand
The Maple Leaf has the words; ''God Save our Queen,'' and the version here is ''God Save the King.'' Big difference.
@@mikeor- Not unlike the Royal Anthem, the lyrics to Maple Leaf Forever used King in the period following Queen Victoria’s reign.
I apologise and regret this but as you know, its God Save our King now 😢. R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth II. @mikeor-
You should add Provisional Government of Korea

It is too patriotic
It wasn't the Commonwealth Anthem.
It was a English Version of it but the Tagalog Version was the Commonwealth Anthem.

This video has the best version of these anthems. I wish I could find these versions elsewhere, but then again, here I get them all in one nice package
