Pedro Martins is not yet 30 years old and already one of the most outstanding talents that Brazil’s jazz scene currently has to offer. The guitarist and singer impresses with his pure sound and his creativity. In 2012, he recorded his first album "Sonhando Alto/Dreaming High". Just three years later, he won first prize in the guitar competition of the Montreux jazz festival - a success that led to a musical friendship and many tours with the guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. Now Pedro Martins joins the Frankfurt Radio Bigband with some of his own songs and spices McNeely’s arrangements with a great deal of Brazilian joie de vivre!

Im Jahr 2015 gewann Pedro Martins den 1. Preis beim Gitarrenwettbewerb des renommierten Montreux Jazz Festivals - ein Erfolg, der zu einer musikalischen Freundschaft und Tourneen mit dem Gitarristen Kurt Rosenwinkel führte. Nun kommt er mit seinen eigenen Songs zur hr-Bigband und würzt die Arrangements von Jim McNeely mit einer ordentlichen Prise brasilianischem Lebensgefühl!
Noch keine 30 Jahre alt ist Pedro Martins und doch gehört er bereits zu den Ausnahmetalenten der brasilianischen Jazzszene. Denn der Gitarrist und Sänger besticht mit seinem ehrlichen Sound und viel Kreativität. 2012 nahm er sein erstes Album »Sonhando Alto/Dreaming High« auf. Nur drei Jahre später gewann er den 1. Teisco Del Rey guitar, the exact model is the hard thing to pinpoint.. looks closest to EP7 model.
