No doubt. Younger years are gone. Our voices change. Part of life. I still enjoy "Two for the Show," like when I was a kid. The new lineup "tribute band" sounds good, but we look for that specific classic sound.
This Band Is one of the most Fa nominal bands EVER. In the 70ies they were untouchable. I would know. I seen them 4 time in the 74 75 76 76. Great Memories.
To ANY Kansas fan...gotta check out the new album "The Prelude Implicit". First studio album since 2000. New vocalist actually sounds amazing, and the songwriting is complex, intense and fresh. Saw 'em in Milwaukee a couple days ago. They were fantastic. Very few "old" bands can do that. Worth checking out.
Man, Robbie looks frickin' TIRED, and OLD! Is he doping or what? Played pretty well, choked the solo pretty bad tho'. Rich Williams is ALWAYS on top - he's the best, most under-rated guitarist ever. He and Phil Ehart are the most professional, consistent, gifted and long-lasting of the group. This performance shows how crappy Steve was when he was high. He can't reach the notes, his tone is crap, and his rhythm on the keys is all over the place! And it still sounded pretty good! Man, I'm glad he cleaned himself up and finished his career on a high note.
I don't think Steve is high here, either, but I do think the older he gets the more shrill his voice becomes... maybe it's because he had to work harder to get those high notes out. I find it hard to fault him very much, though, he was on top of his game, and really, far better than just about ANY singer on the planet for a long time. As far as Robby goes, I think it's just his health issues he was dealing with that are showing. His heart got to be in pretty bad shape before he had bypass surgery, I think we are lucky to still have him around, although he seems to be doing well these days. He has lost weight and looks (and says he feels) a lot better.
@@mojorisen74 In my opinion, I really don't think it's just the drug use although it certainly contributed to it. Remeber how Walsh sang back in the 70s? He overused and abused his voice, as someone with a voice like his naturally would (eg. Robert plant, Geddy Lee, etc.), obviously to the benefit of the music but I think it was years of touring that wore down on his voice.
I know Kansas is still together and they just added a new lead singer. I hear he is pretty good, but have never actually heard yet. I guess we all get old and we must just face the facts of life. I still love listening to their music. Especially the Older 70's videos.
That's something fans dont realize about Walsh, which leads them to unfairly chastise the other lead singers of Kansas. Sure they dont sound as good at Walsh at his best, but even Walsh doesnt really sound like himself.
@@lucapachee9863 I don't know about that. I agree with you that Walsh doesn't sound like himself here, but the guy who was on the prelude implicit album sounded a fair amount like Walsh on this song live.
Kansas is one of my favorite bands but it’s hard to hear Steve struggle through this.
Wow, I kinda wondered if that was Walsh. Not sure if he's a smoker but sad to hear his nice voice regress like this...
Yah horrible. Glad he finally turned it over to someone
Steve's voice is shot
He had throat cancer a long time ago. I remember seeing him do handstands on top of the keyboard.
No doubt. Younger years are gone. Our voices change. Part of life. I still enjoy "Two for the Show," like when I was a kid. The new lineup "tribute band" sounds good, but we look for that specific classic sound.
RIP, Robby Steinhardt.
this is probably my favorite kansas song that wasn't mainstream
It was my fav too but hearing Steve, I have to turn it off.
Kansas its my best group ai ever heard in my life what a violine guitar piano and vocal sound hy from croatia all kansas fans all over the world
😘😘😘 hiiiii
Rock progresivo en viña, que lujo

Their drummer has always been severely underrated. The talent in this band is phenomenal.
My Ultimate Favorite!! Miss this band so much.
Rich Williams grande en la guitarra y Phil en la batería soberbio !!!!
RIP Robby, para mi el mejor music en la historia del rock progresivo norteamericano.
What a band!!!
El día del loli suben una banda así al festival estos años. Que lujo poder tenerlos en Chile
Muy cierto amigo.. y como digo siempre here's to the old school ...
to think the audience don't even know the legends playing in front of them....
Yeah, Kansas isn't really that known in Chile.
RIP Robbie. 😢
I feel for Steve here. C'mon everyone, he knows all to well he's having an off night, but still gave it his all.
Grande Kansas!!!!!!
My getting out of the navy present to myself.. seeing kansas at the hollywood sportatorium.
Robbie kicked ass..RIP bro

It's a good album material wise as well

Kansas é muito bom !
Love Kansas. Miss Steve Walsh.
KANSAS EN CHILE JAJAJ ❤
You can tell that Steve Walsh's voice is starting to go in this recording even though he didn't leave the band until 2014.
Verdaderos profesionales, ponen toda su energía y sus ganas de tocar y dar un gran show, no como un cantante de una banda Norteamericana que vino un par de años atrás al festival...
So it's not the best vocally but they're tearing it up musically behind Captain Thunder!!!
On the rainbows end is my Debbie waitinbg for me.
Nice. Still sounds good. (Or sounded, since this was 2006)
First Metal song

RIP RS.
RESISTA Robby :D !!!
RIP steve walsh 🙏🏻
dude hes still with us ... his abilities maybe not but hes here my man
Is that Robbie?!!
Mr. Steinhardt
The road was not good to Robbie!
A little trouble hitting some notes, but overall fantastic.
Thumbnail of Robbie look’s a lot like Robert Plant
poor Steve. Pipes shot.
This is an american progs "famous" band
That is in other tune .... this is because the vocals cant be right

I don't think he's high here any more, but you're spot on with Rich and Phil carrying this band for all these years

@@cbunga Robbie was pretty sick this night. Steve's been clean and sober since 1997 but his voice was damaged from the drug use.

...so old.
Sorry but the vocals were painful
Everything was OK until the voice came in...
Wow, Steve looks horrible here! Musically they are great, but vocally just not there unfortunately as I love Kansas!
Robbie looks kind of tired as well but I think they hit it for their age. And Robbie retired soon after

@@timbraman2658 Robbie was really sick at this show
Robby was in bad health at this time, his health problems are why he left in 2007

Painful to watch. The coke …
i wish this was never made. absolutely murders the original :(
bro that is the original one
lol dude... everyone gets older.

i meant the 1975 recorded song with great vocals
out of tune, sorry to say
Great band ! Too bad the singers have long lost their amazing singing abilities.
Glenn Snyder no men ... it is because the instruments are in other tune .... both of vocallysts cant sing good
At least they're doing it live, and not lip synching like most older bands in the new millennium.
