  • The music in this video is an arrangement of one of my personal favorite pieces from the Doctor Who soundtrack, composed originally for the episode Midnight: one of the very best episodes. It has no name, as it was never included in any of the soundtrack albums even as it continued to be used to score episodes from future seasons. Among fans, it has been given the unofficial nickname 'Don't'. The version in this video is a recording of me playing it on piano, based on the up-tempo version that was used in season six.

*Smiles with tongue out in a way that indicates familiarity with Daleks, having seen one in a grocery store years ago before being forced into a life of exile*

I’m beyond delighted to see people who can still call to mind so easily even the tiniest of Easter Eggs from one of my Scratch projects from years ago.

Looks pretty good, the original concept art of the original design does look interesting, it would be interesting to see this design on tv and how would have looked like

I think your prototype version looks like it could be a new version! Pretty cool! 🤩👍

I honestly love the second concept design for the daleks (the one shown in the video). I've slowly become obsessed with it, and I'm starting to prefer it to the final design lol. Also I like that you made the hemispheres hollow, most people make then balls, but you kept true to the design!

I don’t know if I’d go so far as to say I prefer it to the final design, but it is fascinating, especially with how you can see overlap of ideas between the Daleks and the TARDIS interior. In truth, I think if this design had been used I don’t think the Daleks would have made the same impact. It’s not a very distinctive shape by comparison, much more of a generic ‘60s sci-fi thingy, and I can’t imagine them being very fun to shoot: once you’ve seen one angle, you’ve seen them all. If they were to be in the real show, I think the place to use them would have been for Genesis of the Daleks, where the Daleks looking underdeveloped would make perfect story sense.

I can see where the first Emperor dalek design is based of.

I know this is off-topic but do you think you’ll ever model the original Fnaf 1 animatronics? I really like the models, soundtrack, and videos you make and I always wondered what the original animatronics would look like in your style.
Also nice custom 3D prints. I barely know how to 3D print anything and those prints look very accurate!

I actually already have modeled the FNaF1 animatronics (or at least three of them; I still have to do Foxy), and I plan to make an animation with them to coincide with the ten year anniversary next summer. I'm thinking of doing a sort of fake trailer, using material from up and down the early games to pitch the series to a hypothetical 2014 audience. Should be great fun!

Excellent work as always, do you plan to continue doing 3d prints of daleks or would this be a one off?

Indeed, I have two other kinds of 3D-printed Daleks to make videos of. I have a set based on the early 1970s design, and also a good handful of Defense Drone Daleks from the Revolution episode.

But how so they exterminate? I would imagine the gun comes out of a small hole somewhere on the body. Plus itll have more trouble going up stairs

The original script had the Daleks physically holding their weapons with their manipulator arms. At some point along the progression of concept art you can see the idea of having it built in appeared.
