Excellent work. I noticed that figure/model is the 89' suit with the Returns cowl. It's actually a combo I've always wanted to see. The 89' suit looks way better with that cowl.
God damn it! For yrs I have used those silicone sculptors and not once did I think to use them for masking fluids. So many knackered brushes. I salute you.
@@Groundeffected I am dreading the eyes part but since I was able to do the eye for the B3DSERK Hawkman with the helmet so Batman will less difficult hehe
Brilliant Love the flesh tone technique Just a thought If you wanted the cloth of the cape to remain in a particular fixed position you can soak it in diluted PVA glue fix the shape and dry it out (Try a test piece fiirst ) Cracking vid as always
I honestly don’t know what that came from. Must’ve been the clear gloss wasn’t covering fully cos there’s no texture there it’s just the light off that gloss on the logo. In hindsight maybe gloss mixed in the black is a dumb idea.
Hey dad. That looks like a quick model to bang out. I might have to try some of this technique to get my Wicked3d Red Skull finished. He's been sitting around on my workbench waiting to get painted for too long. Liking the fabric cape on this.
Here's your like and words... But for reals, that looks awesome. Did you sow the edges of the cape? Otherwise it will eventually fray. Obviously you did add wiring.
Nah. I didn’t sew anything. It was just a experiment I’ll dig deeper into this in future for sure though. So much to do so little time. I wish I could do everything all at once.
Good figure, I would have liked kiton to see himself that size for real, just that you hadn't put a shine on his eyes, they were fine only in black, congratulations!
Amazing, I was impressed on how effective was your wash on the lips to bring a natural color, I even bought a bottle of the Magus purple, but my result was a bit different, do you thin it before apply or straight from the bottle ? Did you went back to the lips after?
Catching up on the back catalog commenting to support the video and the channel. If you like this DAD, I’ll buy something from your store and have it shipped to the US. Be well be you.
Shit I love this idea! I’m working on a Lynda Carter Wonder Woman and I hate the idea of printing her cape but this…this is a great idea! What did u use to pose the cape? Just like a wire hanger?
@@shadowyzman7078 I will spend several nights sanding a model, sometimes it takes longer in prep to actually paint. Also you can fill your mold gaps if any for a cleaner look. After sanding a while and I think they look good I prime in black spray paint from citadel and then I can see more imperfections then sand some more. When groundeffected reviews models he always says to spend more time sanding and preping.
Hi, My Dad - I haven't seen you in twenty years, but it's cool to see you're working on some Batmans. Here are some words for you as well: Crumb. Rhizome. Faucet. Aluminumium.
Groundeffected: Like this very Much, good Stuff, Thanks for Sharing this Video, The 1989(Micheal Keaton) Batman remains to a lot of us(fans) the Best & Favorite! “Bat-tas-tic” job!!!👍✌️🦇🦇🦇🦇
Exactly like I did in this video but I just put wires into the drain holes on his neck before I put the cowl on and then you can bend them and drape the cloth. It’s a super ghetto way but it does the job.
Love this video, didn't even know about the mask paint, this will make it so much easier I was spending ages masking everything with masking tape and still getting paint where I didn't want it to get, thank you heaps. I'm a beginner at painting models do I spray primer down first then paint the parts I want painted?
I have the Keaton Batman on the batcave steps I will upscale to 200%. Then I want to do the suits in FDM. Will need to make molds to cast in urethane or latex though. I want to use FDM for huge busts too. I did one huge Flash. Still need to paint it though.
@@Groundeffected thanks man I really appreciate the reply. Do you think that would be good for the S on the Christopher Reeves superman bus by B3DSERK?
I really wish Wicked and B3dzerk would provide their models sans capes instead of making these thick-ass plastic capes in 6-8 pieces that you have to spend literal days gap-filling and sanding.
the cape doesnt work with the figure, the black contrast too much with the blue hue you applied, i dont know anything about fabric, but maybe if it was coated with paint it would gel better ? otherwise great work on the figure.

The 89' suit looks way better with that cowl.
B3dserk did a great job on the sculpt.
That's a great sculpt... the Batman Returns head/cowl on an updated 1989 Body... It's the look he should have had for the new Flash movie.
Agreed
I’m blown away !!!! Excellent video
SweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeT!! I think I can now handle painting Batman! You ROCK!!!
Oh man this is awesome I wish I could buy this
God damn it! For yrs I have used those silicone sculptors and not once did I think to use them for masking fluids. So many knackered brushes. I salute you.
Dude they honestly work great and clean off in seconds
Perfect blend of both Burton suits~
thanks for the tip to put in some light in the black, because I printed this batman and he is just waiting to get some paint
He’s a nice easy paint except the eyes haha but he’s a good one for a chill one day paint job
@@Groundeffected I am dreading the eyes part but since I was able to do the eye for the B3DSERK Hawkman with the helmet so Batman will less difficult hehe
Fantastic build and paint! I do think a Resin 3D printer may be something I'll invest in soon!
It’s the best!!
As soon as you put the fabric on I knew it was meant to be XD
Ok I’m newer to printing and I have the elegoo mars 2 pro. How does this Batman have no layer lines?? Absolutely beautiful
OUTSTANDING
Looks Great!
Holy painted batman, batman. Love the cape. X
I dig the result of your slightly altered skin painting technique. Looking forward to that new guide.
Coming soon I promise.

Cool idea. For this one I used wire in the back so I can bend it how I want and move it back again. But that’s a good idea for future
@@Groundeffected Nah! your right PVA Glue = Very Messy..... Great job though👍
Well done!
Beautifully executed! Wow!
well looking good thare yes hes pain top do did one but all in black in a 54mm one but your guy turned out great and cloth cape good to see as do more
That yellow Citadel you said u used on belt. Its right but it looks like its orange in the bottle...
Amazing work
Ah Mr keaton Batman.... Nice 👍😎
Thank you my dude !
Do you have a video explaining the airbrush washes, sorry trying to learn
Ummm lol I don’t even know. But if it’s a wash I just squirt it neat or if I wanna thin it I just use water.
Good Job! My eye is catching the unevenness on the bat symbol on the suit. Still a good looking model

Wow bro awesome job!!!!

Putting magnets on this bad boy? It is a bad-man.
Nice model so far... but what happens with Keaton's green eyes? Great job!
Great video. The more I see 3d printed statues and people working on them, the more I want one.
I also shared your video with a friend!

Nope just one thin layer of Magos purple. Don’t cake it on. Just a super thin layer like a glaze

Love it! Have you released a detailed video on how you did that skin tone? Absolutely killed it!

I upscaled it to 166%. Working the base on an An

or where to buy it??? 1/6 scale
I said in the video and I left a link in the description..

I'm impressed how well magos purple worked for the lips. I usually not a fan of that color
I think it really depends on the base tone too. But lately I’ve been using it and it’s been really surprising.

It’s Montana spray paint metallic gold
