He probably should have. He would still be alive.. he was told on 3 different occasions to "back off" and he chose not to and as a result, bad things happened. All three times. First time Perez got injured, second time Straham was in the water cube, third time was the glass coffin. I love the character but he's not the smartest FBI agent 😂
@@ChrisMovieMisfit Exactly or even if he would've listened and followed the rules instead of thinking that he knew everything he could've at least been the one in the coffin at the end and survived. But Hoffman knew that Strahm's character wouldn't let him and that not only would he continue forward but also not listen/follow the rules as well, which ultimately led to his own demise :/
If you guys are confused, The Saw movies 1-7 & X all occur around the same time frame within 2 years . Jigsaw (John) been doing his games for 2 years prior to the 1st film
Fun Fact about David Tapp's(Danny Glover)fate was that there was a Saw videogame that took place between Saw 1 and Saw 2 where Tapp was taken after being shot in 1 and forced to play a game in an insane asylum. The canon ending for Tapp was that despite surviving the games his guilt on knowing that the games were continuing he committed suicide.
It's worth mentioning that he freed everyone in that asylum by choosing the Freedom route and was hailed as a hero. But he couldn't get over his obsession and shot himself when the credits rolled. The other ending is also interesting, choosing to keep his obsession and by doing so killed his partner's wife and got locked up in a mental institution. All the while thinking he was still playing one of Jigsaw's games.
Can I just say, as someone who's new here, the idea of panning the audio left and right for all four of you, according to where you are in the image, is such a great mixing technique.
I know! It still angers me that they killed him off! That's what the franchise was missing, a continuing protagonist for John and Hoffman. Every time they had one they killed them off in the next movie, it got annoying and Strahm was a great foil.
Oh fun fact: the room that Strahm dies in at the end was created and drawn by the director’s son, who was around 8 or so years old at the time of production for Saw 5. Originally, that room was supposed to be filled with water but was redone because it was deemed difficult to film. So they ended up changing it into what we ended up getting now. In hindsight, I’m glad they did so because the idea of the wall crusher slowly killing you while you have no hope escaping to be way more terrifying. What’s also rather ironic is that in the beginning, Strahm wasn’t supposed to survive the water box but survived it… only to die to a trap that had a way out. Yikes!
Saw 6 is one of the BEST. The first trap is Hard, the traps in general are great, the enviroment/tension/in the games, the reasons about why the games are played in the way they have to be played, the story, the twist at the end. Everythiiiiing about Saw 6 is so fucking Amazing.
The opening and ending traps here definitely prove that Saw 3 ain't the only one packing gnarly scenes. Saw 5 is great when in comes to it's cat and mouse type plot. Hoffman and Strahm are awesome. I really like Saw 6 and 7 and can't wait for you to see 10.

Fun Facts: Julie Benz the woman with dark hair is in Buffy as Darla. The black lady is Meagan Good, she was in The Unborn (quite a decent horror movie imho) and lastly the bald guy is Carlo Rota was in 24, but the fun fact lies with Carlo Rota. He did the voice of Basim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
It's been a long time since I watched the behind the scenes for these films, but I'm pretty sure some of the saw two actors actually came back, just to lay on the floor for the flashback scenes 😂 I also remember that one of the crewmember's kids came up with the squishing room (he was 8?) And there was a mock up shot done of the water cube scene filmed with a kid wearing a plastic box from a christmas decoration or something. The behind the scenes are fun.
A lot of people aren't that fond of this one, but for me it's one of my favourites! 1 and 2 are hard to beat, but out of 3-7 I like this one the most. Closely followed by 6.

He owned the Meth Lab that Gus brought Jesse to so he could work for Eladio. “Who do you think you are?” “I’m the guy your boss brought in to show you how it’s done.”
You should take a look at the teaser trailer for this film. It was shown across movie theaters and TV before anything about it was announced. It was really effective. They mastered the art of creating hype back in the day. The teaser posters were incredible as well.
Sav V's ending traumatised me as a kid so much to the point where I would have constant nightmares of my bedroom walls crushing me to death not only that , I would also hallucinate my bedroom walls moving closer and closer to the point where I had to leave my room constantly out of fear lol. Oh BTW I was 8 years old when I watched Saw V. I was for sure a traumatised and troubled kid.
As pointed out, the theme of the main traps was supposed to be about teamwork. Kind of similar to what Saw 2 was trying to go for. Jigsaw was literally and figuratively telling these people to stop being so selfish and learn how to work together to survive. In the first room, they only needed one key and pass that key along to each other. In the second room, more than one person can fit into those chambers. In the third room, they was supposed to suffer a small electrical shock by connecting themselves to the bathtub while holding the cords. In the last room, they would had lost maybe a small amount of blood loss and a bit of injury. Mallick, the dude who was the junkie was the only one of the group to feel genuine remorse for being indirectly involved with the accident that caused the deaths of 8 people. It’s why he turned to drugs after it happened. Yes, he’s a bit reckless or even a bit annoying but I really felt bad for the dude. He really felt guilty even though it wasn’t really his fault. He thought the place he was gonna burn down was abandoned. It’s also theorized or implied that the very dude who sold him the drugs was Xavier from Saw 2. If that’s true, the theory would make sense since Xavier was such an asshole.
I've seen this movie so many times because I've had my friends watch it (with the other saw movies) and I have never seen someone so quickly understand that they need to work together. Moat people think of that for the first time with the extra space. Also... ALWAYS listen to Jigsaw!! Do what he tells you to do! Regardless of who he is.
One of you were about to say it, but the house Hoffman was leading Strahm to was the house from "Saw 2". Don't know why my original comment was deleted.
I only thought of this this time around, and I'm not sure if it would have worked, but could Stramm have jammed his gun under the coffin before it finished tilting down? Then, if it worked, it either stops the trap or Hoffman goes down, too.
I've only seen up to saw4 but then i remember seeing this last scene somewhere weirdly so maybe i have seen saw5 - that split hand was hilariously gross lol! Make sure to add Terroriser 1 and 2 to your hit list ..Blakes gonna love it!
Great reaction. Amazed at how you guys are able to call some of the plot points. Forgot how gruesome some of the scenes are. BUT, super excited for the pack to see the next one, my 3rd fav after the first 2.
Ah its so nice to see you guys enjoying this one! I was really concerned when I read so much ppl disliking it in the comment section of Saw 4's reaction, but you seemed to have it enjoyed as much as I did back in the day. Can't wait for Saw 6, my 3rd favorite of the original Saw .....heptalogy. Also RIP Peter Strahm. By far my favorite Detective. Can't go wrong with Luke from Gilmore Girls
Hey guys, thanks for including that clip in your Saw 4 reaction with Detective Matthews saying "Who's coming through the door?". I forgot about that. That was kind of a creepy moment. "Who's coming through the door?". Oh shit.
I always felt it was Corey who was the main person reading and responding to comments in the comments section. I could be wrong. It's a battle between Corey and Igli as to who will play Vlad the Impaler in the next movie. One of them will definitely be in some kind of gothic movie set in the 1500s or some shit.
saw 1 through saw 7 all came out about a year apart from each other in theaters, saw 7 was originally intended to be the end of the franchise but they brought it back later on. Saw - 2004 Saw 2 - 2005 Saw 3 - 2006 Saw 4 - 2007 Saw 5 - 2008 Saw 6 - 2009 Saw 7 - 2010 Jigsaw - 2017 Spiral - 2021 Saw X - 2023 chronologically saw 1 through saw 7 plus Saw X all take place within a time frame of right about 2 years. Saw - Saw X - Saw 2 All Within About 6 Months Then About 6 Months Later Saw 3/4 take place at the same time followed by Saw 5,6 and 7 all within about 2 months. the flashbacks from later films all take place anywhere from 2 months to 1 year before the events depicted in saw 1. jigsaw is in the same timeline and takes place around 10 years after the events of saw 7 and around 13 years after the events of Saw 1, spiral takes place in the same universe but its unconfirmed exactly how long after the events of saw 7 it takes place, but several years for certain, and saw X is actually a sort of prequel that takes place in between saw 1 and saw 2. hope this helps clear up any confusion guys🤣👍
Saw 5 is definitely a “slow burn” film but Saw 6 is one of the most fabulous films of the series! 🙂 6 is such an amazing film. Great new characters and amazing plot lines and twists, and good story and writing overall. I actually like Saw 6 better than the first film
Just once, I would have liked to see an UNSUCCESSFUL kidnapping attempt by Jigsaw and his accomplices. They try to kidnap someone in one of those pig masks and freaking fail. Hell, even a "seasoned vet" serial killer like Ted Bundy saw a victim get away in an unsuccessful abduction attempt. When you're trying to abduct and kill 30 or 40 people over the course of several years, chances are one of them are either gonna survive your kidnapping attempt or survive your murder attempt. Having a 100 percent success rate with that many attempts is unlikely.
That's a cool idea. Depending on where the franchise goes following Saw X, that could be a good way of validating more onscreen time with John and Amanda (and whoever else).
Saw 5 was the first I ever saw and I was dragged to the movie theater for it. I kept up with the movie for the most part, but got confused with the 2 detective men bc they looked similar and didn’t know the story. I figured out the trick with the game early on (during the pipe scene) and was proud of that.
Strahm's own fault, really. He ignored the tape's advice in the beginning and got his head put in a box that was supposed to drown him. You'd think he'd remember something like that when a second tape was trying to tell him how to survive.
Hey, I'm not sure if anyone told you or made it clear - and NO, this is NOT a SPOILER - but Jigsaw had already meticulously planned for all of the villains to be punished in his traps for all the films after his death from Saw IV - Saw VII.
The blank and somewhat anxious look on Blake again thru out the movie is priceless because the ominous consistency of these movies is so on point. He did good tho!
My grandpa (who was an incredible doctor) had to perform an emergency tracheotomy with a pen in public because a young woman swallowed her tongue during a seizure.
@woahblackbetty7691 yes correct. technically it's not "swallowing your tongue" in the literal sense. It's just a term that is used. What it really is is the tongue falling towards the back of the throat and blocking the airway. An unconscious person on their back can have their relaxed tongue muscle completely obstruct the airway, which is why a secondary airway has to be created.
Hey guys, love your reaction videos! Saw is right up there as one my all time favorite horror franchises. Good to see you're enjoying John's games as much as I do! Thanks for all the content! 👍
the next movie its my favorite saw movie and has one of the best traps hope you like it! also hoffman it's my favorite jigsaw,i actually liked him as jigsaw more than john kramer
my boyfriend is big into medical dramas and all that kinda stuff, and i am terrible to watch them with because every time someone gets a tracheostomy (a more common occurrence than you'd assume!) i instinctively blurt "OMG SAW 5 REFERENCE???" and my poor lovely non-horror-enjoying boyfriend fondly sighs and pats my face. god forbid i ever need one irl bc i cannot be normal abt peter strahm for a second, apparently
Love that Hoffman meeting Kramer scene. That was epic. 6 is one of the best sequels and you'll soon see :) . Love how 5 connections the dots and I love Strahm's character.
My favorites are 2,1,10,6,3,4,5,6, favorite characters has to be Amanda young hoffman peter strahm Adam stanheight Lawrence and John Kramer Eleanor in jigsaw 🧩 And William shenk spiral 🌀 And uh evan in saw 3D Chester linkin park and in saw 6 There’s another one as well Including billy the puppet of course!! 🧩🌀🐖⏱🫂🩸⛓🪚🎥🔥🤍💉🔑📺💣🗞🧸📽✨📼🎬🎞🍿📀🐷📃 Saw V is a good one! You’re gonna love saw VI/Saw 6 🧩👌🏻 Have a good one mates!!!
Well, I would think it's more like Hoffman is the oldest child... as he was the first apprentice. Then Amanda would be the middle child since she was recruited second. Or even really, if you think about it, she's the youngest... the other one may be technically the youngest since they were were recruited third and final, but they're also the secret dratsaB child no one else knows about.
Love the videos!!! My friends and I actually took inspiration from y’all to start watching horror franchises we haven’t seen lol. Also, the VHS series would be an awesome franchise for y’all to check out, highly recommend!!!
You guys were wondering who kidnapped Adam in Saw 1. Adam was a pretty small guy. I don't think he weighed much. Even for a woman (no offense), Amanda might have been able to pull that off. I did question Amanda being able to pull off some of this stuff from a physical standpoint. If you have a lightweight guy who only weighs 110 pounds, I guess I can see it. And Amanda better be doing her workouts to keep in shape for the physical demands of being serial killer/kidnapper.
@@christophermcbride2522 Thanks. I remember Saw 3 having 2 different "flashback endings". You know, when the classic Saw music starts playing at the end and a big twist is eventually revealed and they start doing the quick flashbacks. I remember I liked one better than the other. I think I bought the dvd and that was the twist flashback ending that I was used to. Then I went on the internet and saw that there was a different one.
@brandoncameron2686 if I remember correctly, the flashback shows Amanda struggling to subdue Adam. When he's down, she takes off the mask to breathe better, and she's covered in sweat. I think that's when it shows her taking him to the bathroom.
I have absolutely zero strong feelings about this movie, other than I personally believe Brit and Mallick (the two remaining survivors) got married after this
Great reaction again guys! This one isn't a fav for me but I agree the storyline is exceptional. The Saw movies are like a twisty turny TV show, but just told across movies. It's so well woven. Anyway, 6 is up there for me as one of the absolute best - looking forward to seeing what you guys make of it!

There's also a theory that the house that burned down was the one from the second movie
@@leeanvas I think there could be some facts behind the theory and it would make sense given the state of what that house looked like in Saw 2.
@@leeanvasAnother theory is that whichever house it was, the burning down of it was the cause of the fire alarm that could be heard in Amanda's tape.
“Tell me how to stop it you son of a bitch” made me laugh at the end 😂
One of you were about to say it, but the house Hoffman was leading Strahm to was the house from "Saw 2".
Don't know why my original comment was deleted.
SAW 6 NEXT WOOO! My fave of the entire series. 🎉❤
I only thought of this this time around, and I'm not sure if it would have worked, but could Stramm have jammed his gun under the coffin before it finished tilting down? Then, if it worked, it either stops the trap or Hoffman goes down, too.
Can’t wait for the saw 6 reaction it’s easily top 3 saw movies same with saw x
It's me -Corey
saw 1 through saw 7 all came out about a year apart from each other in theaters, saw 7 was originally intended to be the end of the franchise but they brought it back later on.
Saw - 2004
Saw 2 - 2005
Saw 3 - 2006
Saw 4 - 2007
Saw 5 - 2008
Saw 6 - 2009
Saw 7 - 2010
Jigsaw - 2017
Spiral - 2021
Saw X - 2023
chronologically saw 1 through saw 7 plus Saw X all take place within a time frame of right about 2 years.
Originally the room was supposed to fill up with water but they couldn't afford it, so, crushing room instead.
Awesome Movie and Work Guys, Thanks!!! Greetings from Helsinki, Finland🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Looking forward to your reaction after watching Saw 6 💖💖💖☺️☺️☺️💪💪💪
My weekend nights have been fun with you guys! Please keep doing these series with horror movies! 🙏🏼
I really wanted this guy to survive..
so so real for the jeff hate
Saw 5 was the first I ever saw and I was dragged to the movie theater for it. I kept up with the movie for the most part, but got confused with the 2 detective men bc they looked similar and didn’t know the story. I figured out the trick with the game early on (during the pipe scene) and was proud of that.
Strahm's own fault, really. He ignored the tape's advice in the beginning and got his head put in a box that was supposed to drown him. You'd think he'd remember something like that when a second tape was trying to tell him how to survive.
Franchise Ranking Up To Now:
1. Saw II (4.5/5)
2. Saw III (4.5/5)
3. Saw (4/5)
4. Saw IV (3.5/5)
5. Saw V (3/5)
Hey, I'm not sure if anyone told you or made it clear - and NO, this is NOT a SPOILER - but Jigsaw had already meticulously planned for all of the villains to be punished in his traps for all the films after his death from Saw IV - Saw VII.
rip Strahm :(
The blank and somewhat anxious look on Blake again thru out the movie is priceless because the ominous consistency of these movies is so on point. He did good tho!
My grandpa (who was an incredible doctor) had to perform an emergency tracheotomy with a pen in public because a young woman swallowed her tongue during a seizure.
This is amazing and intense. Well done to Gramps!!
Its physically impossible to swallow your tongue
@woahblackbetty7691 yes correct. technically it's not "swallowing your tongue" in the literal sense. It's just a term that is used. What it really is is the tongue falling towards the back of the throat and blocking the airway. An unconscious person on their back can have their relaxed tongue muscle completely obstruct the airway, which is why a secondary airway has to be created.
Hey guys, love your reaction videos! Saw is right up there as one my all time favorite horror franchises. Good to see you're enjoying John's games as much as I do! Thanks for all the content! 👍
the next movie its my favorite saw movie and has one of the best traps
hope you like it!
also hoffman it's my favorite jigsaw,i actually liked him as jigsaw more than john kramer
my boyfriend is big into medical dramas and all that kinda stuff, and i am terrible to watch them with because every time someone gets a tracheostomy (a more common occurrence than you'd assume!) i instinctively blurt "OMG SAW 5 REFERENCE???" and my poor lovely non-horror-enjoying boyfriend fondly sighs and pats my face. god forbid i ever need one irl bc i cannot be normal abt peter strahm for a second, apparently
I’m here!
Eating tacos and watching this reaction.
You boys do not disappoint ever. I can't wait till I get to Saw 6 and and 7 A lot of people hate the seventh one but I like it
my problem with hoffman and strahm is that I keep mistaking the two for each other :v
Love that Hoffman meeting Kramer scene. That was epic. 6 is one of the best sequels and you'll soon see :) . Love how 5 connections the dots and I love Strahm's character.
Another great upload, guys! Great film; great reaction. Keep it up! 👌
My favorites are 2,1,10,6,3,4,5,6, favorite characters has to be Amanda young hoffman peter strahm Adam stanheight Lawrence and John Kramer Eleanor in jigsaw 🧩
And William shenk spiral 🌀
And uh evan in saw 3D Chester linkin park and in saw 6
There’s another one as well
Including billy the puppet of course!!
🧩🌀🐖⏱🫂🩸⛓🪚🎥🔥🤍💉🔑📺💣🗞🧸📽✨📼🎬🎞🍿📀🐷📃
Saw V is a good one! You’re gonna love saw VI/Saw 6
🧩👌🏻
Have a good one mates!!!
It's fun watching the saw series with you guys ☺️❣️
EXTRA CREDIT 🤣
I laughed so hard at that 😂
Amanda is like John's youngest child and Hoffman is the middle child. I can't wait for you guys to see who the oldest child is
Well, I would think it's more like Hoffman is the oldest child... as he was the first apprentice. Then Amanda would be the middle child since she was recruited second. Or even really, if you think about it, she's the youngest... the other one may be technically the youngest since they were were recruited third and final, but they're also the secret dratsaB child no one else knows about.
@@FLQueerLiberal1982 im going basec ompletely off vibes tbh. hoffman just gives hated middle child energy
Love the videos!!! My friends and I actually took inspiration from y’all to start watching horror franchises we haven’t seen lol.
Also, the VHS series would be an awesome franchise for y’all to check out, highly recommend!!!
6 & X are my favs.
To me Strahm’s death is the only one that makes me flinch to watch. Watching his bone pop out his arm grosses me out.
"Dude imagine the smell."
"I don't want to." 🤣
"Okay" 💀💀💀
The british guy looks like the cartel meth guy that jesse roasted 🤣🤣🤣
Oh yeah, he kinda does look like him!
@@RaggedyPack I only thought about it when I remembered the guy had a British accent when he spoke English! 😄
He was actually in Boondock Saints.
It was Amanda. That was shown in "Saw 3"
Great Reaction! 6 is pretty decent as well.
I have absolutely zero strong feelings about this movie, other than I personally believe Brit and Mallick (the two remaining survivors) got married after this
Man..these movies give a new meaning to pain...
