…..the dull ache has been what’s driving me the most insane since 2019…..I’m so tired of trying to explain that it hurts and I need it to finally stop….. 💔

I'm so sorry to hear this. As you may have heard her say in the episode, this is all so complicated. I hope the healthcare system (e.g., insurance coverage) isn't preventing you from speaking to subspecialists. That seems to be the key - the right person who will dig into this alongside you. If you need anything, let me know.

I just seen a Vascular doctor regarding chronic swelling in my legs and pubic area. I was diagnosed with VI but the doctor said my insurance (UHC) would not cover any surgery for VI as my affected veins did not “qualify” because they are “too small” and don’t meet the requirements. I will basically need to wait until they get worse.
She also said my insurance would not cover any Pelvic congestion surgery either. She said her sister had UHC and had to pay 60k out of pocket!
By the way, you asked great questions!

do you have any videos on Lipedema? It’s so hard to find doctors that are well informed about this condition.

Hi there. I'm sorry to hear about this. Yes, it is a challenge to get insurance coverage. My understanding is many doctors have to get creative with coding because pelvic congestion syndrome is often not even understand as an existing condition. I wonder whether the symptoms you experience and other factors can be a bit of a work around. If you are located near an academic medical center, perhaps they can help.

@@eScorpiónA-801 as for lipedemia ( and see below for response to your other question...it did not seem to tag you), I don't have an episode, but this is an interesting topic. I hate to say it but anything chronic, you almost have to find "the expert" for that condition...those are the experts I look for on Fempower Health...again, have not covered this. If I were you, I'd contact the Lipedemia Foundation and go from there. Let me know how you make out. Feel free to DM me on social (I'm mostly on IG) so you don't have to share all this publicly. :)
