About This Painting:
This artwork was created as a surprise gift for Holly's owner, completed within a tight deadline. Working from a reference photo, I transformed the background into a vibrant outdoor setting, complete with a garden, flowers, and nature to reflect Holly's lively spirit.
Artistic Process:
Capturing Holly’s Essence: The eyes, nose, and mouth were meticulously positioned and colored to convey Holly’s true character.
Detail & Texture: By layering detailed lines and textures, I aimed to depict Holly’s fur and unique traits.
Artistic Touch: My goal was not hyper-realism, but to infuse the painting with an artistic flair, highlighting that it's a handcrafted piece and not just a realistic photograph.
Time & Effort:
This painting took a total of 4 hours and 16 minutes, including the final touch-ups.
