I’m glad you found this guy. This was one of the best interviews you guys have had. It’s nice to get a detailed oriented guy who shares the info in great detail. I’d love to get him up to New Hampshire for a hunt or even a scouting trip in the mountains.

Fellow Western New Yorker here. If you let the young ones walk. you may have an opportunity at a buck of a lifetime. They are out there. Always have an open mind to new strategies.

I have a similar story. Raised in the Southern Tier (7R), Dad got me in the woods about 4 or 5 years old, always went out opening day of gun season. Got into archery at about 14 years old with some buddies. Been a die hard bowhunter ever since! Live in PA now but still hunt NY southern tier every season! Great episode. Thanks Jake and Andrew.

Man that’s awesome to hear! I am fortunate to still have my dad. He is my first call every time I shoot a deer, I don’t take a second of that for granted!! Keep at it what a lifestyle bow hunting is. I appreciate you taking the time
      To listen!!👊🏻

Great podcast! Andrew has some serious skills and knowledge in the whitetail woods. Always constantly learning and soaking in his knowledge. One of the most successful mature buck hunters that I’ve been around. He’s also a great guy, father and husband. Excited to see him on here! Great choice Exodus!

Hi Andrew…my rule is a ring of steps with my plate form always. My presets are done by the end of March usually. You and Jake didn’t discuss mature buck bedding so try and spend more time finding mature buck bedding. Individual Buck beds will change as the season progresses but this can help you pin point ambush spots a Buck has never been hunted from giving you a slight edge….use a small (very small) green lite going into these sets extremely early will hopefully allow you to beat him back to his core bedding area. Also on all day sits use a larger plateform (mission)so you can stand and lean against the tree for concealment. As you mentioned you don’t use scents but I encourage you to use smokies pre-orbital gland and let the bucks open the scrapes up during the season….if you like to talk you can get my contact information from Jake…good luck and God Bless

Man that’s some great info, especially on the green light and larger platform for longer sits! I have def stopped using a really bright light and think it helps! I will check that’s scent out as well. Always want to talk to whitetail so Iets do that! 👍🏻I appreciate the tips and you taking the time to listen in 👊🏻

@@9a_nuch thank you…always enjoy helping others…Jake and the guys did a interview with me a few yrs ago regarding East winds and since then I’ve harvested some of my biggest bucks to date. I’m pretty much a loner bow hunter since I hunt remote areas and work on finding several target bucks to go after every season…my Italian friends call me Silvio…hope we get a chance to talk in the near future sometime🦌

When walking down a doe trail find the faint, lightly used trail that intersects that trail and set up there during seeking phase. 😉
