Now that was great! Two legends from two totally different habitat environments, agreeing on things, disagreeing on others... But both showed love and respect for each other as hunters and Americans and THAT'S WHAT WE NEED IN THIS COUNTY! Well done fellas, well done.
When I saw this debate pop up on my phone.i stopped what I was doing an sat down and listened to the whole thing.learned a lot !! The best part though was at the end with the story of two great Americans finding the truth about each other and becoming great friends. Brought tears to my eyes.in a world with so much pressure and hate, I m glad the devil is no loner able to pit these to good gentlemen against one another
My Gosh, that was one of the very best things I've ever watched on UA-cam. And I mean that. Two extremely talented hunters, both of whom show mountains of good character. Just an amazing show.
This debate is genius. Almost every hunter just wants questions answered from big buck killers without too many obnoxious ads. The video has more info condensed down into straight forward content than any hunting video I’ve watched
Learned a lot by watching this but I’m a public land hunter. I got MAD RESPECT to these two deer legends and they’ve giving out so much great info on this video but probably won’t work on pressured public land.
@@tlegendz66 i agree....I am private land hunter and land owner.....if u have to hunt state land then the hunting beast is your guy or hunting public.....they are very aggressive and go right next to the bedding area and either get the buck or burn the spot out
This was great! Well done. Respect to Tony for being open to all legal weapons. Too many guys now days trying to separate deer hunters by thinking their weapon of choice is the only way and somehow another weapon is ruining deer hunting.
The attitudes you presented each other with made a subscriber out of me. I have not heard two men disagree so incredibly well for a long time and as a martial artist turned bowhunter (a martial art in its own right) I can’t praise you two enough for the respect and integrity presented from minute one to minute last. Thank you for posting!
This was very well done. Kudos to the moderator. You could tell from his questions that he had a working knowledge of both Tony and Don's techniques. Too many times when knowledgable deer hunters are being interviewed, the host's want to make themselves the stars by interjecting their own techniques into the discussion (especially young guys). I'd like to see more from this guy.
This was Awesome. I have to admit I didn’t know who Tony was until Don talked about the upcoming debate at the time on his Podcast. I have a lot of respect for To y after this debate he is a class act! Been following Don for years he is the real deal not much more to say than that. I have to admit when the moderator asked Don about the captive deer, and trespassing I knew that was going to be rich! I can’t stand sorry people throwing off on good people!
Absolutely awesome video with two awesome guys! Both of you done an amazing job and was so fun and informative to watch. Hope to meet you both one day and shake your hands.
Even though it’s late I’m glad I found this when I did. I was about to probably mess my spot up being in it this summer. I’m stuck with only public land so I don’t have the option of managing it, however if I wanted to try to put a scrape line in to try and make bucks use it, what is the latest I could get away with going in and doing that?
Really enjoyed the debate, both of these gentlemen are incredibly knowledgeable. I propose a new dinking game, where every time Mr Tony says “guys” you have to take a drink!
This is a great show! Everyone does not do things the same way. But both methods seem to work. I sent this to my nephew who shot his first buck this weekend. I am a woman in Oklahoma and I am always telling him how to increase his food source with some mulberry tree seedlings that I need to get rid of and planting switch grass for bedding. No matter which deer instructor you listen to they always talk about deer bedding with switch grass.
Love the debate. Tony talks about not being able to bait, put mineral out and being able to kill 2 bucks as part of the reason he thinks he will not kill any 200 inch deer on his property. Well in Illinois you cant bait, put mineral out and you can kill 2 bucks as well. The biggest thing Michigan vs Illinois is Michigan has way more resident hunters than Illinois. Their gun seasons are way longer than Illinois. That is the biggest factor in my opinion.
Michigan hunter here. Way more resident hunters, yes, but I believe the biggest detriment to our hunting seasons (other than maybe crossbows for everyone in the archery season) is the fact that our firearm season is 15 days long and right in the middle of the rut.
It is not yet available but will be in the coming weeks. This was the first time anything has been announced about it. With all the traffic we expect on this video, we wanted to use the opportunity to get the word out. Thank you
@@chasinggiantswithhigginsou6147 Awesome thanks for the info. I’m super excited to check it out. As I young hunter I have a limited budget and this sounds like something that I need and can maybe afford! Thanks Don and Terry for the great podcast each week!!
This guys saying he has more drive and energy than anyone doing property management? Lol maybe so but not even close to the average public bow hunter. 55 acres is all? Lol
Have John Eberhard on next year and have him put his hand on a bible and ask him about poaching and trespassing in 60 's thru the 80 's in central Michigan 🤠
@@bobo44donemilking51 Well, if someone isn't religious, they most likely wouldn't believe in the Bible, which would render putting their hand on a Bible irrelevant. Now, you weren't seriously asking that question, were you?

Great debate! Thanks to everyone involved who allowed this to be made available to folks that weren't able to attend in person!
That was terrific! I'd love to see more of these in the future with people who really know what they're talking about!

Two good humble Christian gentlemen that are also master hunters who pay attention to details at all times.

Great debate. Loved the format with lots of info.
This was fantastic. I could only dream that individuals like tony and don could be more involved with deer regulations.

Love seeing the hunting community debate maybe we can get more legends to sit down and debate or talk thanks for the video

I knew he was fired up when he said this may take longer than 2 minutes. He’s a wanna be and he’s never gonna be lol
Who is the guy from Michigan he is talking about?
Is Mountain Dew a deer secret attractant?
Lost one of my best bucks to a Mechanical found he dead the following tear socks horns all chewed up man it hurt

Making the switch this year to fixed blades.
That was great... For private land hunters lol
For others, there is the hunting beast!!!
I actually messed up the left side pee bottle rule and regretted it
Just an other way the government will get their hands on hunting with no trail cameras !!! Hunting is hunting !
This is great
I didn’t think the amish used technology? 😂
Some Amish do and some don't

If you have 120 acres, you can't blame the DNR for their management practices.
A perfect example of losing all credibility with one sentence!🤣

Neither have as many monster bucks as Andre d'aquisto
Neither probably have as much money as Andre D'Aquisto either. Rich guys will always have more trophy animals.
Can they both kill deer like that on public land
I would guess it depends on the public land.
Thanks guys you both had good points the thing I like in the end there still freinds
Guys that consistently kill mature bucks on public land are the true hunters
