Lots of people doing walking tour type videos, but yoyrsxrealky stand because 1) you appreciate goid architecture, 2), dito food and make interesting choices. 3) you have great music, 4) your cinematography is superior, 5) you don't over-insert or inder-insert your presence and commentary, just the right amount probing less is more, 6) you come off as sincere and humble and it's nit about you but the places you visit and bearing to life. That's why I watch and like and subscribe! So glad you decided to do this. Its just way higher quality than most.
I enjoyed the video. I was in Oaxaca last October-November and wandered around Jalatlaco when I was there. Your relaxed and unpretentious style kept me interested.
From Wisconsin. Have enjoyed your sixth vid from Mexico; excellent! Doesn’t hurt that we love Mexico! Your video and editing skills are fabulous, as are your theme choices. Music selections are fantastic! You’re doing very well my friend! Please continue to make us smile in this terribly sad time. We’ll be in Mexico City this December, then on to beautiful Oaxaca. Thank you, stay healthy and safe.
I think the reason your channel is growing so quickly is because your style of vlogging is a bit different (better) than a lot of travel YTubers. You let the area you are in be at the forefront of your videos, as opposed to other vloggers who make it more about them and their reactions.
It took me 9 videos to get this one. The orher videos rubbed me the wrong way. I dont care if foreigner bisit the place, but ffs stop making it about yourself. However this video changed my perspective of what vlogging can look like. If you could please venture further outside of the popular sites and truly immerse yourself.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. What is your professional background? I ask because your videos look very professional. You have an excellent eye for beauty and beautiful things. I spent a whole week this past December and I must say that time was not enough to visit, try, eat and do all the cool things Oaxaca offers. I was unaware about the existence of that neighborhood and I regret that. It is a cool neighbor, indeed. You don't talk much about yourself (unusual for a UA-camr, LOL). It would be nice to hear a little bit of you, like for example what brought you to Mexico and what your impressions about it are in comparison to other destinations you've visited. Peace.
Thanks for the feedback Daniel! Actually I have never even owned a camera before starting this vlog! Just had an idea of what I want to capture and what I would like to see in travel video's. I'll take your feedback onboard and open up a little more!
Hey Andrew came across your channel as I am moving to Oaxaca from NZ but currently locked in :-( that aside loved your recent videos so thank you and well done they are awesome and some of the best as I have been watching for months travellers in the area... if your still in Oaxaca would love to hear your thoughts on barrio Xochimilco...happy travels...
Hey Dawn, Thank you so more for your kinds words! I know the feeling of being locked in! When are you moving hear and have you been to Mexico and Mexico city before?
Yes, I have had a few shorter trips in Mexico when I have been on my way to Cuba for extended times, mostly spent in Mexico city its a pretty magic city..Are you planning on being in Mexico long term or you moving on to other countries ?
¡Hola Andrew! I'd like to congratulate you. You're a really good UA-camr. I don't know your background but your shots, pace, the editing, drone views everything is just beautiful. I look forward to more of your videos. I subscribed yesterday and I've been watching your CDMX videos. This neighborhood and it's art scene is wow, beautiful. You're the first UA-camr that takes us to Jalatlaco. ¡Gracias! Kudos to you amigo.
*Hi Andrew I was just thinking of not seeing your notifications yesterday and then, pum! it just happened today, I was little busy today but finally have the time to seat and watch it!* *You definitively captured the vibe, the relaxed atmosphere, the vibrant colors and the feeling of the town (that's what I love of the wrongly called "country" side ['provincia' that city people would call it] so relaxed and chilled feeling) the time for your videos it seems too short that really one enjoys every minute of it* *I'm a bit shocked about the price of the properties in there as many gringos prefer to go to more touristic destinations where people will speak English (it seems they don't want to go through the hassle of bothering learn Spanish) Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Mexico City and other more touristic destinations, but I guess that's changing, as they want to own properties with nice weather, cheap everything but market value is very high because sellers see these people with dollars signs, when it used to be just few thousands of pesos now became millions of dollars, definitely that changed so much* *I never heard of this place but it seems wonderful as many places in Oaxaca, you make me homesick but in good way, my mom's town I think it's not far from it (well everything is closer there in Oaxaca than from here)* *Anyway, wish you keep enjoying much your visit and see you on your next video cheers 👍 and greets from 🇨🇦*
I’m Mexican and I’ve never been to Oaxaca. One of my dreams is to take a road trip around Oaxaca state. I want to go to Oaxaca City, the enchanted forests of Ixtlan (some locals claim that they have seen fairies and gnomes), San Jose del Pacifico where they have magic mushrooms, Puerto Escondido and Huatulco. One of Mexico’s most famous movies Y Tu Mamá También was partially filmed in some bays close to Huatulco.
Love love love this video! All those buildings and street are beautiful! Can't wait to visit one day! I would love to see a video purely about food! Are there any day trips to do outside of Oaxaca?
Hi bro what a beautiful place i've never been in oaxaca but i can recommend Monte alban wich is a archaeological zone and mazunte (mazunte is a naked beach ) jajajaja good vibes paz
Love Oaxaca. Never heard of Jalatlaco. Then you mentioned the price of real estate there. Wtf??? That's both obscene and insane. How is that even sustainable in that small town???
You show my country in a beautiful way, I love it thanks
It was my pleasure I love Mexico City!!! Feel free to Subscribe to help the channel!

Thanks Alfonso!! I always try to capture the heart and soul of the city and it's people in my vlogs.
I couldn't agree more!
I agree with you 100%

You're so very welcome in my "Mexico lindo y querido". ♥
Even being a local, I cannot deny how overrated this neighborhood is (as Oaxaca City) in general.

Your vlog is good but the music is grating to the ears
Next destination should be San Miguel de Allende
