They are SO GOOD! We thought Sweden/wales have good strawberries but wow - Japanese ones are spectacular!

The Melon pan with ice-cream looks yummy! We loved Osaka for all the food, we were so amazed about how many places there were. We found many nice places for Sylvie's sweet tooth in Umeda too. :) Great video as always!

By "mild mozzarella", did you mean "totally flavorless"? 😂
They use the same type of cheese in South Korea for corndogs. It gives a nice pull, but has practically no flavor at all. It's definitely more "for the gram" than anything.
Okonomiyaki is one of our favorites. Mochi and cheese is the best! We always make it at home now.🤤

I'm currently in Osaka now, I have tried Tokoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Takiyaki, Kushikatsu and Gyoza. My favourites are Kushikatsu and Gyoza 😀

Japan is a bean culture. The taiyaki they both want to eat now has red beans in it. Red Bean in shiruko too. Soybeans are the raw material for mochi and adzuki beans, as well as soy sauce. Miso is made from soybeans, natto is made from soybeans, and soybeans and adzuki beans that Japanese people like are healthy foods.

Glad you were honest about the 10 yen cheese coin. I am from NYC and found those cheese coins to be tasteless and bland. Especially when I am used to the super delicious mozzarella corn arepas that you get at the street fairs in NYC - now those are incredibly delicious.
I haven’t never heard of mozzarella corn arepas BUT I love corn and cheese and now I feel like I need to hunt one down somewhere 😍😍

I’ve been blessed with traveling or trying the rivals of beef. I find Wagyu or Kobe dull-tender-but little flavor personally. For some it’s perfect! Apparently we’re paying for the labor to care for them 🤔🤣worth it tho to try at least once. I do find things hyped up are a little letdown for me often. Remember, I’m the retired bartender/food server/cocktail waitress in 4 an 5 star resorts and imma foodie too AND cook well myself-so food is my thing too! Gimme a bite!!!! It's not a true takoyaki experience without burning your mouth into charcoal. And, a little bit in defense of the other items that were underwhelming, a lot of Japanese food isn't full on blast you with flavor. Especially the sweets. But, yeah, some of those got hyped up way too much.

Well people said Tokyo banana was "good". My previous Japanese GM bought me two times Tokyo banana when he went back to tokyo. My review so so only. I hv eaten two times. There is no mistake.

@2Passports 1Dream it is like people saying Taiwan famous pineapple biscuits is a "must" eat. Well my younger brother bought it. It is underwhelming to me.
@2Passports 1Dream so my verdict to be honest.
1. I can get better fried banana (pisang goreng) and banana cakes in Malaysia.
2. I can get the best pineapple biscuits in Malaysia during Eid and Chinese New year in Malaysia.
I dare to say it because I have eaten Tokyo banana twice (different occasion) which is an expensive pastry in tokyo.
And I have eaten Taiwanese "famous" pineapple biscuits too.
Lastly, in Malaysia we coat our strawberries with malaysian melted chocolates. All pure stuff. No sugar coated stuff.

Takoyaki is common in asia. Origin - osaka. Yes very hot inside. Too bad you learned a hard lesson.

The sugary strawberry is actually Chinese sweet , is not truly Japanese food , it's kind of 冰糖葫蘆，Osaka have the most Chinese population， there is quite a few shop selling dim sum , and my one day tour guide and even the driver both from China, and the ramen shop at Dotonbori that frequent by tourist is cook by China worker, Osaka have change a lot compared to many years ago when I first visited Osaka , Chinese is almost everywhere in Osaka
