@Ariel: Adding molasses to your lemonade is an interesting sounding combo. It's never occurred to me to use it as a sweetener. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed your video.
Wow! I would never think of using molasses 😀 i have a lemon tree with fruit and of course Cyprus is full of lemon trees so they are readily available. I'll definitely be giving this a go. Thank you 😀😀
I ALWAYS watch your videos at work. Sounds bad, I know I know. But in my defense I have 2 monitors on my desk and my own office :D I have my work on the big one and have videos or music going on the other. I'm married to this computer so I have to find ways to stay interested. Even just listening to your videos I learn a lot, and it's actually very relaxing (especially the cooking videos). Something you miiiight be interested in if you like cooking as it relates to history, is the Townsends channel! He does cooking and lifestyle videos about America in the 18th century. He talks a lot about how they relate to the recipes and traditions we have today. In a way, you being a homesteader your style of cooking kind of reminds me of that.
Thank you, Ariel! You really have a wealth of information on health, wellness and living a good life. I’d never have thought to put molasses with lemons. Now I just have to go try it!
Ariel, If you are going to have a sweet drink might as well have one that replenishes the body with minerals. This reminded me of the Hot Dog on a Stick lemonade in the malls with the blue, red, yellow, and white costumes. It was made in a ten gallon pale with a large stainless steel masher that the person would have to use their whole upper body strength to mash up the lemons. The dispensing tanks on the counter were full of lemon slices. It was the best tasting lemonade that I have ever had When I Googled molasses to see what it was I came across "molasses lemonade" as a Google suggested search. interesting information. I am always learning new stuff as a result of your videos.
Kinda sad how molasses has been relegated to baking in certain recipes when at one time it was used in so many ways other than baking. I always have several jars at hand especially for baked beans or making a barbecue sauce, etc.
Unfortunately, in Thailand lemon is quite expensive but we have lime as substitute but I find that lime is more sharp sour than lemon. I'm trying to find the perfect way to make a good limeade but still not compare to lemonade. We also have Royal project shop that they sell lemon at reasonable price but it's not a regularly on the shelf. When I found it I always buy ton of it and freeze some. Thanks for a good tip for mineral issue as I never aware of drinking too much water it make you lose mineral (I only know you can put yourselves in a drown stage if you drink too much water at a time). I also need to look at molasses too as I never have interest in using it but now you make me want to!
Even I could make that! I would never have thought of adding molasses. I love molasses. I wonder how a potato masher would work to crush up the lemons rather than having to stick your arm in the jar?
Wow...does that look good...! Using molasses as the sweetener...who'd-a-thunk it? Sounds yummy...since I love lemonade and molasses. Thanks much for sharing this recipe...!
What kind of knife sharpener do you use? You never seem to have a problem with your knives. Your recipe is like switchel, which is used by the farmers here. Molasses, cider vinegar, and water. I use it in the summer when I’m worn out after gardening.
The other day I bought a 12 pack of Lemon iced tea, I was 3/4 finished the first can when I decided to look at the ingredients. You would think that "lemon juice" and "Tea" would be listed as ingredients right!! Well no lol citric acid and natural flavour close as it can get. The only thing real in the list was water!! Basically it was a can of water and chemical that tasted like Lemon Iced Tea. The other 11 cans however will come in handy... I need to sight in my little 22 rifle. ;-)
Fy Nyth Thanks. Love your recipe for the brussel sprouts w/onions! Just tried it w/cabbage but like the sprouts better. I have them at least once a month. Yumm!!
Hi Ariel. Long time subscriber and always look forward to your videos. Lots of good variety in your content and well presented. I noticed in your recent videos that you refer to your subscribers, as "flock". Mmmmm, am I being too precious here, but really??
You're welcome to call yourself anything you like. :) It just seems like a good term for a large group of folks that gather over something in common (Fy Nyth or "My Nest") despite many differences. Like some birds build tiny little nests. And others build huge sprawling ones. And others no nest at all. Some stay on the ground. Some on the water. Some stay almost always in the air. And so on. I think everyone's differences are fascinating. What's your favorite name for such a group?
Fy Nyth- In the context you described, I now understand. I thought you were referring to flock as in "my" followers or congregation or sheep. I still like your cheerful "hi folks", but hey, this is your channel and you're sharing it and entertaining your subscribers with good, well presented content. So excuse the fuddy duddy from the other side of the world and carry on doing what you do best. Regards.
The drink was almost as refreshing as the video narrator...Thanks for an enjoyable time Ariel..
You can get a lot of juice out if you roll the lemons on the counter first
I don't like lemonade but I like to see you smile.
Can't wait to try this in the summer!
I love lemonade too. Thanks for sharing. I really like to add lemon to my iced hibiscus tea with stevia for sweetner.

Molasses in lemonade. I have never heard of that combination. I will try it!

Awesome recipe. Greetings from Andreas on Off Grid Sweden 🇸🇪
That sounds so refreshing. I would also like to add a few mint leaves to the glass. Love your videos.

Yum!
Molasses. Thanks. Never thought of that. Blessings.
Never used molasses to sweeten lemonade. Will try! Thanks for sharing your recipe :)
Smart Going to try this one for sure TKS

WoW! I never would've thought of all that & have never had a drink using molasses as a sweetener!
As kids we would drink it mixed into milk. It tastes a lot like chocolate milk, just better for you. :) I love the taste of molasses.
Yes it's a very good lemonade, the only ingredient missing that I put in my recipe is oranges, Tks Ariel.
That would be yummy too!
Kinda sad how molasses has been relegated to baking in certain recipes when at one time it was used in so many ways other than baking. I always have several jars at hand especially for baked beans or making a barbecue sauce, etc.
Love it on toast/muffins as well.
Hi Ariel great video Never considered molasses in lemonade I have a glass of lemon water every morning when I first wake up.
Unfortunately, in Thailand lemon is quite expensive but we have lime as substitute but I find that lime is more sharp sour than lemon. I'm trying to find the perfect way to make a good limeade but still not compare to lemonade. I like lime too! Usually they are very expensive here though. :)
Very interesting water ,lemon, salt, molasses. 1 glass a day? I was wondering why my tongue feels dry drinking lots of water. Thanks🌞🌞😃☺
Even I could make that! I would never have thought of adding molasses. I love molasses. I wonder how a potato masher would work to crush up the lemons rather than having to stick your arm in the jar?
Probably would work well if it's a sturdy masher.
Thank you, you just showed me something that I am suppose to be drinking, any other flavors?
Perfect! You could add a lot of flavors if you like. I also make a fresh mint tea I'll have to do a video for with mint leaves, honey, and water.
Have you tried switchel for electrolyte replacement? Also known as haymakers punch in earlier times?
I have not. I've heard of it, but never made or drank it.
Wow...does that look good...! Using molasses as the sweetener...who'd-a-thunk it? Sounds yummy...since I love lemonade and molasses. Thanks much for sharing this recipe...!

I know, you would think those would be ingredients. :(
Yeah, a lot of us are capable enough to spit out seeds! [Too funny . . . ]
Can you add honey insted?
Sure. It would just have a different flavor, but I love the taste of honey too.
First? Yay. Another good recipe. Thanks.
:)
Thanks for the great video. May I ask, where did you get those sharp knives! Also, will you be making more summertime cooking videos?
I love these knives and have been using them for years! And they are pretty inexpensive - amzn.to/2JJ3Et8 . Yes as I have time. :)
Did you use a paring knife to take time to talk or is it easier than a cutting board a chef's knife? just curious
While I do use cutting board and chefs knife for a lot of things, I just find my little pairing knife easier for a lot of things. :)
Fy Nyth, really like the knives you use!
Can you use raw honey instead of molasses?
Sure. It's just a slightly different flavor.
Fy Nyth Thanks. Love your recipe for the brussel sprouts w/onions! Just tried it w/cabbage but like the sprouts better. I have them at least once a month. Yumm!!
Wonderful!

Would also be great!
Is there anything you can't do ? Did your parents raise you to be so independent? I just love your channel 🤗👍❤️
Lots of things I can't do. :) But yes, my parents did teach me a lot of skills and I am very thankful for that!
Damn but you're pink and orange and gorgeous!!
Needs tequila, vodka, gin. Perfect!
hypOnatremia is a low Na+ level and hypERnatremia is high level
Thanks! Sorry for the mispronunciation.
You left out the Vodka.
:) That would be slightly less good for rehydration, but yummy I'm sure!
