Ruhl was a sight to behold
ruhl one of the few who could match Ronnie's delt width from front to back in the side chest. I can only think of Roelly Winklaar as well. Guys like Levrone, Phil, Big Ramy, Krizo don't come close in that specific aspect. they arguably have better delt shape though.
Ronnie flexes his front delt in the side chest.Thats POOR execution flat out. If he hit the side chest Arnold style his delt would be as "wide" side on.
Those guys have crazy delts but only Markus can mathc Ronnie in pectoral thickness...
02 NOC Ruhl is the only one I'd put over 03 Ronnie

in terms of pure musculature Markus wasn't lacking a thing, except maybe for lateral triceps. Shape was his biggest issue, that and bum striations of course.

Concerning muscles Rühl explained that it is not just the mass which is difficult to achieve (but also) because of the anatomical problems that don't allow size limits. Dorian said that Sergio should have had the best anatomy.
Anyway Markus wanted to explain that it is also very difficult to get the muscles hard and dry, which means to get rid of all fat and of course synthol.
On the other hand the form an the size proportions are even more difficult to rule in the case of synthol use - in the case that there is no synthol or oil anymore in the dried muscle.
Last but not least there are the peaks that are difficult to train on the one hand and very sensible for deformation in the case of special Synthol use.
The Brasilian and Russian Synthol freaks show thar they are the opposite of bodybuilders because they don't have any feeling for anatomy.

The late 90s early 2000s were full of guys who would be champions in any other times. There were at least 5 guys other than Ronnie and Jay that would win today over the top guys.

Marcus Ruhl 2002 Night Of The Champions condition was unmatched by anyone in any era of that size period. He would of beat anyone if he had that condition in the O.

Ruhl is definitely wider than Ronnie in the rear lat spread just like Ramy, it's more to do with their actual clavicle width+decent lat development than anything else though. In terms of thickness and pop in the back Ronnie is still far ahead.

Probably the best. But I've not seen great pictures from that show. On video and from what people, who have been there commented, Markus caught him there. Ronnie was not in shape, and Markus 100% on.

@@mr.tymesup3894 for a lot of the same reasons a guy like paul dillet, Jean Pierre fux or dennis James never won. The guy had crazy size for sure, an all the way big dude if you will. But he was just lacking polish and conditioning. Plus his posing kind of sucked too if we’re being honest. There’s an argument that he could have placed better than he did some years but he was never good enough to win. Still love the guy tho.

2003 Ronnie was so freaking huge and so good - that his side tricep was actually half decent 😂😂 mental. As for Ruhl - yes he has terrible shape and flow - but there were times where he clearly should have placed higher. Not winning beating everyone or anything - but certain shows he was ripped off a place or 2.

its not even close. people have always overrated ruhl because of that most muscular clip in 2004 but he was never close to Ronnie in terms of the back, lower body, conditioning and muscle quality. No disrespect to ruhl but i dont even think he is a top 10 bodybuilder to never win the olympia let alone a top 10 bodybuilder period where a lot of people put him.
You dont know what youre talking about. Ive been next to him in Fibo he was wider than a hummer. He was with a spanish open bodybuilder, and he looked like a child next to him. IF he would had been american he would had won 5 Olympias.
@@frankcastle9877 it doesnt really matter how big he looked next to a spanish bodybuidler, its about how u look standing next to the best in the world and he was exploited there. Its not all about size, its about muscle quality, conditioning and completeness and jay, ronnie and dexter just presented better overrall physiques more consistently during that time.
There is no denying that from a raw muscularity perspective Ruhl is easily comparable even to larger Ronnie versions
The difference is that Ronnie managed to get more conditioned in the posterior chain and had a combination of roundness and superior structure( shorter torso) that allowed him to KINDA flow even at a bigger weight. Ruhl didnt have those things.
Not everyone can still look good at a huge weight. In fact if we're being objective Ronnie in 03 looks like CRAP compared tor 98-99. His symmetry and condition being at their all-time lowest negate the increased size.
Conditioning wise 2003 is nothing special....Compare closely and youll see its similar to 2000 and 2001 where everyone said Ronnie was noticeably off.
@@TheLusianPopa well thats just not true though is it, its not by chance that 2003 ronnie is considered to be the "most unbeatable" physique ever presented on stage, that year he probably presented the best combination of size and conditioning ever seen. Noone ever showed up as big as him with the same level of conditioning. as for 2000/01 there is no comparison whatsoever as from the front its a night and day diference in the separation in the legs, sharper midsection and a more striated chest from the back its preaty close but he was just so much bigger here in 03. There is no denying he had a much more well rounded and pleasing physique in 98/99 and was just as conditioned, and even i prefer those versions of him. so to say this version is crap is kinda crazy as it is easily a top 3 version of him.
