gear is not needed, it will just add to extra cost and maintenance, gear oil bearing etc. Ev motors are powerful and don't need gear

I used to think about gearboxe on a ev, it's quite interesting to see this on the road, I hope it's designed in house in India.

Considering 5kw battery range should be 200+. I think integration of gear box with the motor made it less efficient. More moving parts more friction less efficient. It's a complicated bike!

You are true. However, one of the key drawbacks of e-bikes is the non-immersive feel, which is tried to address in this bike. Plus, with gear, load on the motor can be reduced, thus again lowering its heating issues, which I guess is the biggest issue of the E-bikes on-road today.
All said and done, the actual truth will come out only when we see the on-road performance. Till then, fingers crossed !!
Yes and also design is not aerodynamic either. On highway at 120kmph it's gonna hardly go 70km.

Giving ⚙️ gears in ev bike is a great idea, it will be more engaging riding experience and more fun which all other ev bikes was lacking , I was hated ev bikes because of auto magic gears system, great move by company...... this will be game changer in the ev market 🙌

Nothing more than gimmick. It is going to reduce the range as well.
@@info4investment585Yes and in the comments people are saying it's a great innovation for ev to have gear mechanics. But in itself its downfall for ev. We use gears in IC to increase the torque from the same power. And in ev, we already have very decent torque for that
