Yes, it's my favorite Geoff song when talking about "beautyness" of a song arrangement. The song itself is great and beautiful (credits to Ed Sheeran!) and what Geoff does with his different tracks is simply great to me. Love this one, not only as a showcase of Geoffs range, but for his arrangement, too. And additionally the video is well done as well with the lightning and all the costumes and atmosphere.
@@bjspeck4337 Of course! :) I can't name my "favorite of all" song by Geoff, but because the Original song is so beautiful, I'd chose "I see fire" on the 1st place of the "Beauty List" xD
This is his second song with the dwarfs and the second Hobbit movie. He was lucky enough that they kept the costumes from Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold. His wife Kathy only had to add a couple costume pieces and props. The magic makeup man Rick Underwood has kept the hair, mustache, and beard pieces. We are waiting to see if he does a song from the third movie. They sang on stage with Chicago live last month.
That short video under the one you clicked on was a live recording on his phone of him doing the beginning of this song. It was even more smooth than the produced version in the video! Insane voice on him! Great reaction and Happy Holidays to you and yours! ❤
One of my favorites by Geoff. Love the really distinct characters with the separate voices.

It's so easy to forget it's all one person when you're listening without the video. Amazing arrangement, vocals and production.
