My favorite parts are the use of playing cards as an element of restoration work and the powder coated painting. The only part of the video that gives me anxiety is when he starts sanding the bolts and I know how much time is gonna be spent just sanding to prep a part for additional work... Then I see him switching to faster methods and feel relieved. Lol. This cheese cutter vid and the hard candy roller video made my day today. I absolutely loved them both and will probably watch them both again in the future. Mostly because of the food prep that was done with the tools after they were completely restored. My only qualm is a minute one, the blade sharpening section is something I would've done differently, with sharpening stones and a specialized jig made for holding any sized blade at the correct angle(s) needed to sharpen them and then used that. This qualm is mostly about precision and I think goes well with the level of care placed into each project I've seen on this channel so far. But this is a cheese knife... What was done is sufficient. Lol. I'm just rediculous and this guy did an absolutely fantastic job restoring this item. I was extremely pleased the entire time watching both videos and can't wait to see more of them.
I watch a lot of restoration videos now and again, and have probably seen several of yours already. But this cheese slicer restoration? Was exceptionally beautiful, and I've watched it about 3 times already. I like cheese, too, and that was a nice one to use in this vid'. The contrast of the white and brass/yellow metal against the red flake paint is gorgeous--that's the kind of red coat I'd expect to see on a really great, cherry sportscar. As someone said elsewhere in the thread, it's amazing that you were able to restore it down to the wooden platform. Of all the things I didn't know one could do to restore old equipment, that was the thing I least expected could be done. (Food-safe wood fillers...got it!) It makes me happy a restored thing like this could exist anywhere, even if it were in some hipster deli in Brooklyn that I will probably never visit. That meal at the end? Gorgeously cooked and plated. What color! The slicer, the red-waxed cheese (edam? Gouda?)...I think it added to the beauty of this whole vid' that you had such a unified color scheme, down to ALL of the food, whether you did it on purpose or not. TL;DR: This video was really beautiful, I like cheese (and gorgeous restored slicers, apparently), and I might be back to watch again.
My goodness, that was such a beautiful restoration, the time lapse for baking the powder coat was amazing, and then cooking what I'm sure was an absolutely delicious meal at the end was fantastic bonus!
For reals, this guy has got to have one of THE best channels. This restoration probably made it look better than it was brand new. He polished and re-plated the screws - woah. My only gripe is why not swap out that cutting board for a nice end grain block but I suppose that goes against the whole ethos here.
I was thinking the same thing. But I guess it makes sense that they only replace pieces that are missing or beyond repair. I guess that wood block was still salvageable, just needed some TLC 🥰
I can’t stop watching these. These restorations are insane. Love your videos. Seriously the attention to detail, the items you’ve invested in/upgraded to make everything as perfect as possible… top notch

Now we need a food channel !!!
(Food-safe wood fillers...got it!)
It makes me happy a restored thing like this could exist anywhere, even if it were in some hipster deli in Brooklyn that I will probably never visit.
Editing and pace is top-notch as usual. The food ASMR at the end tho *chef's kiss*
I officially LOVE this channel! It is so calming to watch these restorations come together! Thank you for sharing such amazing things!!
The amount of care and respect that he has for everything that he restores is truly inspirational and heartwarming.
Oh my god we've been waiting for u welcome back!!
Wth man, i was just about to go to sleep. Guess that'll have to wait another 20 mins.
My goodness, that was such a beautiful restoration, the time lapse for baking the powder coat was amazing, and then cooking what I'm sure was an absolutely delicious meal at the end was fantastic bonus!
7:42 this process will never not fascinate me. Mesmerising
You should just make a cooking channel, your efforts are really talented in many ways❤❤
God, that meal at the end made me want to die. That looked soooo good, so yummy!! Loved the video!
I would go for olive wood or a beautiful piece of purpleheart instead of the cheap original plate which I would not even call wood.
@@kocbilo I think they try to keep as much of the original piece as possible.
I can’t stop watching these. These restorations are insane. Love your videos. Seriously the attention to detail, the items you’ve invested in/upgraded to make everything as perfect as possible… top notch
What you do on this channel is a lost art!
First class video production and first class restoration skills!
I loved the gourmet meal at the end ♥️♥️♥️
Keep um coming!
Watching you even refinish screws was a thing of beauty.
My God, you even made plywood look good!
This is a really grate job you did. I can a-Brie-ciate the time and effort that went into it, and I hope you do Gouda business on the future. For restorations, it doesn’t get any Cheddar than this!
Reading this was a delight thanks mate
Well, that's cheesy 🧀

Glad to hear it!
Found your channel kind of by accident and WOW! You do AMAZING work! This is so relaxing and enchanting to watch! LOVE that you have such an eye for detail right down to the littlest component and you actually restore and only remake if absolutely necessary! You are a true master of your craft! Could watch you all day! Thank you for sharing♥
Финал душевный, аж слезу пустил !
Творческих вам успехов!
LOVE this one!! The color you chose is STUNNING!!
Let’s just take a minute to appreciate how much this dude spent on a wheel of cheese for this video
He even cooked food with cheese at the end
I have never had a UA-cam channel melt away my anxiety like this one. Every video is amazing and I can’t thank you enough
THE LEGEND IS BACK! 👏
I have one of these (different construction) in my attic. They make great cake cutters too. Mine has 360 rotation with indents at every few angles.
These videos make me feel like cleaning my house, haha
Saw my first video from this channel earlier today. Hands down my new favorite content creator. I love how you use your restorations after completion
This channel just keeps getting better with every video! 😁 Either a new tool, an upgrade or another cool way to restore...and now this one, of course he ends it with a mouthwatering meal. You do not disappoint! 👨🏻🍳💋
Congratulations 👏🏻
You started with toy restoration 2 years ago and now you’re in a totally different level.
What a detail obsession, what a precision…
Please keep up this great work.
Beautiful restoration. I love seeing the transition from how damaged it was to the final result. Cool stuff, man!

Thank you for restoring the past!
I'm a Chef and really appreciate the old equipment!!!
Lots of these restoring channels have their specialty. Your paint jobs are the best by far.
