I want one so bad! I picked up a copper pot in an antique shop in France over the weekend and I'm going to do a video restoration on it. The handle is iron and rusted but a sandblaster would be perfect for it!

Yes, also the rust that has been eating away at the ship is actually caused by small organisms that are feeding on the wreckage, which has dramatically increased the speed of deterioration, for a good comparison to how much damage has been caused by that, is to look at the wreak of Titanic’s nearly identical sister ship, HMHS Britannic, Britannic has been at the bottom of the Aegean Sea for just about as long, she is almost completely intact and is in almost one piece other than the snapped front now deck that was caused by Britannic’s collision with the sea floor, this is the effect of the absence of the organisms eating away at Titanic

Geoffr524 when you sand blast metal, it always takes that gray look because you’re actually digging out the rust and corrosion from the tiny pores in the metal, and the light reflects back to the eye in a scattered fashion. Therefore you see no gloss, only clean metal that is full of small pores. It has that dull gray look.
The primer powder that he then sprays on melts in the oven and fills the pores. He can then sand that primer smooth and then the color coat gets applied to that nice smooth surface.

What PSI(Bar) and media are you using. The sandblasting I'm familiar with would warp metal that thin

What I love is that you knew how to put it back together. I would just end up with a pile of keys and stuff.
