Could this same technique be used with Milliput, Sculpey or possibly thermoplastic beads? I need to add some “windblown hair” to an existing plastic model figure head that has an uninspiring and boring hair sculpt. I’m curious which media would lend itself best to time-consuming trial and error “sculpting on the fly”?
thank You for the question, honesty never try Miliput so far, or thermoplastic beads so dont know the quality of a result of making a hair of the same, but pretty sure you can attached it to another plastic (as doll head), also pretty sure for super sculpey will give great results, but it is fagile so I recommend adding wire armature in hairlines as you said it is floating on the air/windblowing hair. also I have another video about hair , so maybe can give you some ideas 🥰 ua-cam.com/video/vjopzbljKQk/v-deo.htmlsi=Nlzy0U3rVEbc3O5M
Thanks for the info :) gotta start practicing a few times of the 2nd method of short fur on my spare polymer clay , and do it on on my sonic sculpture haha !
I am glad that this video helped to you , and thank You very much for the subscribe.. I am having in a plan to make more videos that can help to other sculptors :)
Кто в теме подскажите, делаю шерсть, потом заливаю силиконом, когда вынимаю модель, в силиконе (внутри) остались микро кусочки от шерсти. Как этого избежать?
Ik like your work very much , everything is perfect , but im sorry to say that you must stop painting the eyes it really brings down your work , im surprised that nobody attended this to you ! May be better make them with the eyes shut , im sorry to say this to to you because the rest is perfect 🙏🏻👍🏻serieus , this is positive critic 🙏🏻
Please make your videos accessible to those of us who are visually and hearing impaired. Your video got a thumbs down from because of the lack of spoken direction and speeding up the footagebecause I am legally blind. I’m looking for a video that will teach me how to sculpt a fur texture. Sorry I have to pass up your video.
geez then search another video instead of taking your frustration out in the comments, you could also just ask nicely if the maker could consider your suggestion in the next video.
If I ever go bald I am going to make myself a polymer clay wig. Struggled with doing hair in clay before, so thank you.

I just started sculpting with sculpey. Is that what you're using?
sculpey is great also, I use Cosclay( also polymer clay, but flexible)
@@AneMareArt what do you use to smooth it? Alcohol? I literally just started sculpting. I'm making pyra from XC2.
@@codethetoad4327 I use vaseline , 100% petroleum, but alcohol is great to! Nice that you enjoy sculpting, I wish you great journey :)
@@AneMareArt thanks. Yeah I just started but im learning a lot.
