@@reneko I think she like those who always learn to stronger and that's why she didn't agree with Flamme about let magic become popular because with that idea it rare to find the genius, and outstanding skill mage among them. Human must face with demon to evolve themself but Flamme show humam the way to end it. Also I though demon king want to live in pieceful with human so it not really that bad balance so she didn't do anything about him either

FYI: Serie is suppressing her mana the whole time. She only shows enough mana to scare people; her actual amount of mana is unknown and probably x10 of what she shows.
Second FYI: Serie create the field of flower she 's playing with using the same favorite magic of Frieren and Flamme, what a tsundere.
The x10 isn't right. Serei can control her mana to any amount she wishes (you'll have to read the manga.) It's quite possible it's even more than x10

What you see in this whole episode is Serie "Surpressed" Mana
Her surpressed mana is as much as Frieren mana when she defeated Aura
And i hope you notice that Serie waiting at the field of flower (iykwim)

@@the_nether_king7760 Because u didn't notice it. Did not Lernen mention ealier Frieren suppress mana because her mana is fluctuating? Then few minute later Series said he did not notice her mana also fluctuating that mean she also supress her mana.
Thinking more about that after watching episode Falsch said he didn't see any fluctuating in Frieren mana but Lernen saw it that mean Lernen much experienced than Falsch about seeing through suppression. But he did not see fluctuating in Series the greatest mage reign supreme over mankind meanwhile Fern seeing through it mean Fern have the more experienced than Lernen about judging any mage suppression mana or not. It could be how often she must face with suppression mana case that made her sense more sharp than anyone

"in the end tat boy was never able to see the fluctuation in my mana" that line goes so hard. Man i hope we see a few spells from Serie on S2, she has so much mana that she could spam legendary spells around the clock lmaooo.
I also love her character, she wanted to coach Fern cause she knows Frieren doesn't really focus on fighting, and she wants Fern to realize her maximum potential, which she probably won't realize traveling peacefully with Frieren.
Also she failed Frieren because she knows that this title is worthless to an elf, if Frieren was human she would've passed her obviously, but since she's an elf she decided to give her a little push instead, hoping it would spur her to refine herself as a battle oriented mage, even if it's unlikely.
If they get to where I think they will you won't be disappointed.
Frieren's unsupressed mana is Serie's SUPRESSED mana, Serie is stronger than frieren and flamme by far hights, but I always enjoy your reactions, makes me be hyped all over again😺
But the fact that Flamme had as much as she did during a humans lifetime is impressive, it’s basically what Frieren had after 1000 years

6:27 Nobody knows Frierens been around that long. Only as long as the Hero’s Party, before that she was hidden. She seemed new even to the demons (even to Kraft). Only Serie remembered her and what she had done to defeat demons and how she had done it. I believe Frieren’s defeat of the Demon King brought out Serie to fulfill Flames final request to lead the humans in magic. Flames prediction coming true must have reignited Series feelings for her student and the desire to honor her memory. I doubt she would admit it though.
These are just my theories, but I believe that only part of it is Serie is starting to finally process her grief for Flamme. The other part is Serie just isn't that "strong" (wait I explain what I mean lol.)
Serei is absurdly strong by any conventional measure. Stronger then anyone that we know or have heard of. But for all that strength what has she done? What can she actually do?
Serei cannot defeat the Demon Lord by Flammes words and Serei not counterdicting them. Feriein did.
Serei cannot break the barrier over the test site ( it might be an assumption, but I'm fairly confident by how she reacts to it being broken.) Fereien did.

Ferien, for being the conventially weaker mage, sure can do a lot more than Serei. I think Serei is starting to realize that if she wants to push magic to greater heights she needs to change her approach bc what she's doing so far isn't working.

that's why she says that suppressing mana is useless probably, if when her mana is suppressed, she's still one of strongest beings in the world, no one would approach her thinking she's weak, she still suppresses it tho, so she doesn't scare to death anyone who sees her :D
I would love to see where her ceiling is, realistically she has so much mana that she can cast legendary spells around the clock without even worrying about it, guess that's what happens when you polish yourself for over ten thousand years (and who knows actually how old is she).
Frieren is always tired because suppressing her huge mana is very exhausting. She told Flamme it was tiring when she started training. Now her mana is much bigger.
