I saw her the same week on a solo set in london, best show i've ever been to! she's been my favourite artist for years and i only found out she was coming to england the week before 😅. Wish I had had more time to see her with the band too; the raw passion and energy she gives to her live sets is just breathtaking!
Thanks for uploading. I was at this concert. It was so good finally seeing Kaneko Ayano live, I never thought I would, so was very surprised and happy when she announced shows in London. I hope she comes to the UK again
What a night it was… Awesome gig, having been there will remain lifetime memory. Thanks for sharing. Especially when my camera was so crappy and I couldn't get any decent footage. Same for the gig next night, at the New River studios, where she played solo - and she set the room on fire. Terrific couple of nights for me.
I was there too (new river studios). Absolutely amazing show. So surreal to see an artist a world apart live, and she lived up to all expectations! especially when she ended the show with 祝日... Incredible!
@@MomoWax1000 She always lives up to expectations. ;-) I was lucky enough to see her both with her band (what a blast to see Hirotoshi Ayashi too) and solo, both times in tiny rooms with wonderful acoustic, and boy did she not disappoint one bit. She's also easy to talk to (although the no-Japanese-no-English situation doesn't make the process too easy 😀), and a really nice person overall as far as I could see. We were all very lucky to have seen her very first shows in Europe in such intimate settings. As to the songs, well, I personally can't single any of her songs out as I'm just constantly amazed at her songwriting, record after record. You think the last one was a masterpiece, and she's like "hold my beer" and delivers yet another one. None of her songs so far (and I probably know absolutely everything she's published to this day) has ever let me dissatisfied. But I have to confess, when I heard the first touch of guitar of Shasou Yori that night in Brixton, that's when I really measured my luck. ;-)

She's been my favourite artist since i first heard the album shukusai about 3 years ago; i was going through a rough period with my mental health back then and, even though i couldn't understand a word of what she was saying, the raw passion and emotion that she sang with as well as the mystifying instrumentals really resonated with me and took me through some tough times. When she came to the uk, i was sure i'd be the only person here who knew about her; but lo and behold, there was a room full of fans all as passionate as i am vibing to her music. Truly a night I won't forget. Anyway sorry for the ramble, it's just nice to reminisce with a stranger about a shared experience 😃
@@MomoWax1000 Every one of these words I could have written myself. ;-) (And I know for a fact that her staff is trying to have her come back to continental Europe this year 2024. They didn't seem too sure about anything at the time, though, so for now it's just fingers crossed.)
Ayano Kaneko just announced today (March 5, 2024) that she'll be performing with her band at The Great Escape in Brighton in May. I was told that night in Brixton that she'd be back this year, but I wasn't expecting it to be so soon. 🙂
Same here! She's one of my favourite artists, and I had no idea she was playing over here. I even live quite close to Brixton Windmill, I can't believe I didn't know about this until I saw this video just now!
