would the 30L go as a personal item (under seat) ?
Good question. It doesn't fit under the seat sadly but fits perfectly in the over head bins. I fly RyanAir every 6 weeks or so and its not been a problem so far.
I've looked at some for motorcycle touring. Top quality equipment.
Is it comfortable for hiking?
I use it sometimes rucking in the city, usually for about 4 hours. But I wouldn't recommend it for super long treks.
