I just got a 2004 SR5 V6 4Runner and been researching suspension and accessories and perfect timing of finding your channel. I respect your everyday average kind of guy way of doing and explaining things it inspires confidence and helped me in the decision of getting this same bumper and using my average DIY welding skills so I can say it's sourced and built by hand in the USA! I watched a couple other videos you posted and your advice is very helpful. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing the rear bumper assembly and install.
Wow that’s honestly so cool to hear!!! It’s good to know I’m making a positive impact in the 4Runner community. I had a ton of questions when starting out and I couldn’t find any answers so I’m glad I’m helping people that had the same questions I had! Thanks a ton again!!!
Probably one of the better offroad/build channels I've stumbled across, I come from the track car youtube world so nice seeing someone work on their offroad vehicle and document it in vlog form
Toyota's are in a class of their own. I recently sold my Gen 1 Sequoia and I really wish I didn't. Toying with the idea of a Gen 4 V8 4Runner I'm also looking at Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ 5.9 .. I'm in a a bit of a conundrum. lol.
Hey just want to say thanks! I ordered my bumper for a 2015 Tundra from Coastal and got your discount by using Alpha7.. saved 65 dollars here in Canada so cheers! hope to see ya on the trail and thank you personally! lol cheers buddy!
Just found your channel, and I love your content. Got a 4th Gen that I'm about to start re-building. Keep the great videos coming, man! Subbed for sure!
Pretty sure this is my first comment on UA-cam (like, ever ever). Anyway, love your build so far and can’t wait to see what you do in the future! I have an 05 with the same 4.0 setup. I went with OME lift but only 265 tires as I was worried about lacking power. Biggest takeaway - you mitigated my concerns about going to 285s, but now have me wanting to do 295s 😂. Love your content and will be looking out for your next projects, man!
Well thanks for giving me the honor of being your first ever comment🙏🏿😂 Yeah that’s why the majority goes with 285’s because the truck pretty much acts like stock. 295’s are a different story lol. If you don’t add any armor then 295’s on a v6 are not horrible. The truck definitely drinks more gas though. Once you start adding armor you might be singing a different tune lol. My biggest issue right now is gas, sure I’ve lost some power but the mpg isn’t good lol. And that sir is why I’ll be re-gearing in the future… just like everyone else lol
Great video I have a 05 v6 4wd 4runner with the arb bumper I always wonder how the coastal offroad bumper and how hard was it to be welded and put together video.
hey man great video! truck looks great. my front bumper from coastal offroad is being powdercoated and i’m curious to know if the weight of the bumper caused a slight difference in ride height? is yours still level or did you have to adjust your suspension at all?
@@connerkeck777 it might drop just a hair, but at the time my rear end was really high on purpose because I knew I was gonna run a rear bumper. It’s completely level now
Bro I bought a rear bumper for my first Gen tundra…been a year still haven’t finished it! 😅 The grinding and welding is unreal! Gotta get to it…kinda tired of not being able to tow anything 😆
Man I’m gonna be honest and say that I’m a novice welder too. I just used the standard wire for the machine. It’s 3/16ths thick metal so whatever wire is best for that thickness metal I’d recommend. But honestly I’m not sure it’s that big of a deal (welders in the comments, don’t kill me)

Hey man! Awesome! It’s absolutely my pleasure bud lol, you definitely won’t regret it!!!
Try a Sylvania Headlight repair kit on your headlights, I just used one on my 4th gen and it came out crystal clear !

I'm doing similar mods to my Gen 3 Limited 4Runner, I'll be glad when I'm done though 😁
Thanks man! Sweet! You love it once it’s “done” haha
Great put together!! Keep burning! Show more!
Haha yessir!!!

Thanks a ton man!

Thanks a ton! I’m glad it was helpful!
Wow that’s looks awesome. Looking more aggressive 👍🏼
Thanks man! It’s definitely a big difference lol
First, great technical work.
I Looked at this bumper but it was too thin, went with the heavy duty single hoop ShrockWorks and do not regret it.
Thanks!
Hey whatever works lol
Man that looks so good right now are you going to paint it or powder coat it? 14:00
Heck yeah man, nice work! Looking forward to seeing the rear go on.
Thanks my man!!! Yeah I’m super excited for the rear lol
Loved video. Great teaching step video for someone to follow. Definitely subscribed 👍
Awesome! thanks for the sub!
It came out great nice job man!
Thanks man!
Well done video beginning to end! Great shots and very clear directions. Subbed🤘

Thanks! Honestly it was pretty easy. I wasn’t too sure before I bought it but it’s honestly really simple
New sub! Love this content!
Thanks!! Welcome aboard!
We love to see it!
Thanks bro!
Nice! Would this bumper work with a 1" body lift?
Yessir! They offer multiple different body lift options for the bumpers. My rear bumper is a 1” body lift
Good video cool bumper
Thanks!
Perfect❤
Thanks!!
What size wheels and tires? Awesome looking truck
Thanks!
I’m on 17x9 bronze icon rebound pro’s
And my tire size is 295/70r17

How do I get the light bar cutout with the trees? Also is that grill tubing?

Man I’m so impatient there’s no way that thing would’ve lasted a week still in the box😂
You got this!😂
had any problems with th 4.0 V6 headgasket? how many miles on your rig?
Nope! I’m at 210K
How long do u think it took you to tack it together
If I wasn’t recording it would only take a few hours maybe
Sick
Thanks!
What light bar is that?
Just subbed!!
Thanks for subbing man!!!
I now want to learn to weld lol
It’s a super useful skill!
It’s way easier than it looks.
Just ordered my bumper for my 80 series land cruiser, as a bit of a novice welder, what size wire works best for this application? (Mig Welder)

I’ll trade ya for that 80 series😂😂😂
You should restore headlights it's on my channel to show you how do it
Yeah I plan on running different ones anyway so they’re ok for now
Is that a flux core welder or are you runnung gas.?
@@JimmyDistheMan I’m running gas. I hate flux haha
@@Garrett_Logan The welds looks great. I use flux and also hate it. I'm a very beginner welder so there is lots of mistakes and grinding.
@ hey man as long as the welds don’t break that’s all that matters haha
What part of colorado do you live? It looks so green, I would think you were actually in Oregon or Washington closer to Canada
I’m out of the mid west lol
Welders looking at this like are ROLLING
What do you mean?
Honestly, makes me want to buy a Jeep.
I’m dead 💀
