On a day in which much of the world celebrates a great miracle, it would have taken another miracle for me to solve this puzzle. I thought I found the winning first move with Qc4, but I was wrong. Merry Christmas, everyone.
Merry Xmas, nice little puzzle with some cool lines, black pawns used as shield and then smothering or zugzwanged :p I found a cool but trivial subline after 1. Qa5, discussed from 1:46 to 2:54. If 1. Qa5 Kb1 to get out of the discovery 2. Qe1+ Kc2 white has nothing left to hope for but has a cool way to force the draw. 3. Qe4+ QxQ is forced and a stalemate !
Thank-you Mikael and Merry Christmas! That was a nice puzzle. I looked at the correct move but missed the neat way of turning it into a checkmate, so discarded it . . . oh well, try again next time!
Thank you for these puzzles which I enjoy immensely, even though I solve only a few. They brighten my day and help to keep my old brain alive. And a Merry Christmas to you and everyone who watches your channel.

I am a simple man. With 2 pawns down if I see moves to make it a draw, I’ll definitely go for the draw. 1:37
😂
Thank you for these puzzles, I enjoy them every morning. They get my brain working like my morning coffee! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too. 😊
A wonderfull study. Queen and pawn endgame. Subtle and deep…

Thanks for the Christmas Day puzzle! I thought it would be an easy win for white, but it was way more complicated than I expected.

Good one!
Serves him right for bringing his king all the way down without any guards. C- pawn actually in his way
Merry Xmas and happy New Year😊

and thanks for your dedication to chess puzzles.
Oh yes, I'm from Toronto❤
Very nice solution as usual.
what a lovely gift, Merry Christmas
Solved, thanks
Thank you for the Christmas gift puzzle. I solved it, but in a real game I would have just captured the pawn with a discovered check.
Very good, thanks.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas you all!
Black's otherwise advantage pawns are causing the demise of their King
Great prezzie, thank you 😁👍
Yes, when did you get it and how long did you have to hide it, äh? 🎄🎁🤩
in Finland we celebrate on the 24th as well
Because this is his original Birthday 😀
شكرا🎉
Qe2 was the first move I thought of but I didn't see the transfer to the a2-d5 diagonal.
Santa's mate.
Can't we let Black win on Christmas?
No, never, why? 🖤
Black pieces matter
great surprising zugzwang!
Thank you and merry Christmas. Why is after kb3 kbq qe2 not good?
Without the pawn at b2 there is no way to trap the king in the corner and Qb1 by black puts our king in check and maybe perpetual checks.
Thanks for the easy one!😊
Queen e vone--check
Merry Christmas
