You are even better at bargaining than me, a local, which is too impressive. I use online shopping in China because I won't lower prices. The price purchased online is usually the cheapest price.😂
As locals, we always use ‘cut to half’ no matter what is the first offer, and then try to ‘pretend to leave’ until they call you back, you obv already made it! so you really did a good job, but could be better next time, dont be shy, just be bold, haha. Well done though👍

but u cant feel the texture or try on products like dresses, bags or sboes, i'ld rather pay a bit more in real shops. But yes i'ld buy small electronic items online but for hsndphones i 'ld not. Firstly because i wanted to tryout display sets to see the screen resolution if it's crisp clear. Secondly if u get a faulty set online it'll take some time for replacement. So i really dont mind paying more in a physical shop cause i know if anything i could just go back and swiftly get the problem settled.
Opening an online shopping app to scan products and start bargaining is my way.

the owners know when security checks or the related trading standards people come by and tip each other off... selling food unlicensed on the roadside is also ''illegal'' but because its probably an old lady trying to make a living, authorities turn a blind eye...
i dont know if you know about the hotdog sellers that used to sell nice smelling hotdogs around trafalgar in london late at night, they were also illegal and unlicensed etc
if it becomes a huge problem then action will be reinforced etc... as long as youre not caught etc as long as what youre doing isnt a multi million scam that takes down the parent company lol then you wont register

事实上大部分中国人已经不去买这些没有品牌仿制品了。这些东西都是卖给来旅游的外国人、工厂里的低收入工人或者出口到非洲等不发达国家。在北京的大部分人如果买国产产品，会买小米、华为等品牌的产品，价格介于仿制品和苹果产品之间。最近2年，极少数高端华为产品的价格已经达到或者超过苹果的价格了。

@@OTWD_yt Correct! Again, quality is on par with originals, depending on the grade of ''copy / fake / imitation'' you choose to buy....
the ''copies'' are made from the same factories using the same tools, moulds, processes, people etc but taken round the back and sold on the side, without the usual tax and other redtape etc... will contain the same packaging and birth certificate in some cases and even warranties!!
Again there are Levels to the imitations! And the price will also reflect the the quality of copy!
i know because i used to serve/know a rich English guy in Surrey who used to brag about taking his wife and daughters and their friends on a Chinese ''fake hunt'' holiday they would hunt out the latest handbags and watches that were probably better than the real thing that came out or released earlier than the official launch day etc
he literally told me there would be bus full of western ladies making a holiday out of it so they coud brag to each other who had the latest trendy gear.... they didnt care that they were copies, the copies were THAT good!!

Again there are LEVELS to the 'fakes' 'imitattions'' there are bad copies and there are DAMN!! cant tell the difference good copies.... because China is the original factory of the world!! its where the originals are made and its where the fakes and imitations are made!! China is that good!
Just home from work here in the UK, and I have seen that the OTWD have posted a new video/vlog, I am so happy, I’m going to walk the dogs, have some dinner and watch….. I am loving the Chinese series from this very nice young couple, who have made me love China.

YES!!! THIS!!! Using the same tools, moulds, materials, people, machines and processes! with legitimate packaging, identifiers, birth certificates and warranties, serial numbers etc.... people not understanding that China is the factory of the worldand its where the majority of the originals are made..... a few items get skimmed off this batch and sold on the side with reductions..... but are in actual fact the same products just unofficial and unofficial priced
youre really getting ripped off by the actual og parent company as theyre raking in all the profits from the disparity in Chinese wages and inflation etc

Nowadays, most of these electronics are not exactly knock-offs although it is not legal. The parts are from the same vendors that provide parts to Apple etc. Some of them are even from the same assembly line. Some of these just go to the black market. So illegal as it is, the quality is quite similar to the authentic products.

Products from unknown brands or without brands are not fakes. It's not an illegal product either.

@@OTWD_yt As long as it does not use Apple's patents and technologies, it is legal because the OEM factory does not belong to Apple, but is a cooperative relationship, and the OEM factory can produce its own products. For example, Adidas T-shirts, its OEM factory can produce products of the same quality as Adidas for its own sales, but without trademarks and tags, and the price is only 1/3 of those with tags. You can check the names of the factories that produce for these brands online, and then buy the self-operated products produced by these factories online. The cost-effectiveness is very high, and these factories will not do anything infringing.
They are not more counterfeit goods, but imitations. It should be acknowledged that many small factories in China rely on imitating products for development, and they lack capital and influence, so there is no other way. It's not a good thing, but sometimes it needs to be done.

If I were in China and want to buy some electronics I will definitely buy it from Huawei, or oppo or other Chinese big brands so I wonder why a lot of western tourists don't go to get what they want from those brands!!

This is definitely one of the very few places in China where you MUST bargain. Personally, I have not yet visited a place like this. That particular woman's selling skill is too pushy. Apparently, selling things gently is the key to successful deals. I like the same kind of food that you guys ate.

cant remember exactly where the ''ghost'' ''phantom'' market is but thinking its in Shenzhen, Guangzhou.... it appears at night along with food stalls and its not always in the same place i hear
they sell you rolexs and pataks and then if youre really interested they take you off to the actual store or warehouse in a building... providing you pass the test though XD or know the secret password XD

Some fakes actually come from the same production line as the genuine products. They appear on the market for various reasons. They may not have a brand, or they may become a completely unfamiliar brand. But there are also some completely inferior products that just look similar. Most consumers can't tell the difference. As for which fake product you can buy, it all depends on your luck.
Yes the AirPods I brought actually come up and connect in the same way the Apple ones do so like you say same product line but maybe it doesn’t go through the same quality checks
@@OTWD_yt Many international brands are like this in China, because some international brands will find some local processing plants to produce their products. These local factories may sell these unbranded products through illegal channels, or they may continue production after the contract is terminated, but the brands will not be international brands. So this would happen if the brand didn’t build its own factory to produce the goods. Only some high-tech products will be exceptions
