Enjoyed the quiet cruise and the views, no need for music, save for the sounds of the birds. Odd boats, or odd ducks, have more visual interest than a marina filled with similar plastic production boats that all look the same. Vive la difference!
I've lived in a cedar house on the back of an old 1.5 ton truck and it was a good life. This tour cheered me considerably for some reason; there's life out there without the McMansions and HOAs yet ...
you know what would look great cut directly into the hull? these vinyl bathroom windows! throw that hatch overboard, i got a used sliding glass door for the aft deck instead.
are those little fans on the top of some of those boats used to charge their batteries? There was one on the first red boat with it's mast down and then on one of the boats docked.
very nice; I am disappointed with the way windows were fitted to the sides of some boats...too bad overhead windows were not fitted...but not my call thanks :)
What do these people do when they either have to haul out or the boat rots away under them? In any case, what happens to these boats at the end of their usefulness?
my son lives on an off grid canal boat - he has a stove that runs of smokeless fuel so his boat is as warm as toast - LED lights alos help to eke out the power. He has solar panels on his roof and he has enough power to run a fridge right through the summer. He seems to love the life - he has access to a shower at work.
Some of the ugliest boats I've ever seen, apart from that one at 1:12, that's right up my street that. Looks like a Wylo ii, but no bow sprit so not sure. Dylan, your engine is lovely and quiet.
Lovely. Hypnotizing. The stories those vessels could tell. Loved every minute of your vid. Calif..USA
The sight of gamming boats and the sound of the gabbing birds -- very meditative. I can face the rest of the hectic afternoon.
like a patchwork quilt of maritime memories. just lovely.
I had to watch it twice.Very peaceful.Somehow l love such locations
The theme music at the end was a bit of a shock after all the peace and serenity. I love old boats, especially when they are somebody else's.
Good old boats with owners touch ,I like em.
What a marvelous cacophony of boats! The TV antennae! 😂

+Steadman Uhlich you said it. Yup!
I love the narrowboats but when you start welding campervans on top of barges i think its crossing a line in the sand somewhere
It would be great to live on a boat.
Fascinating. No dialogue required :-)

my son lives on a canal boat - it is possible to live away from the bricks and mortar - but the winters are bloomin tough
wow cool
it is on the Yorkshire Ouse - above the lock near York
what a great place for kids to play. :-)
Now I want to go and live there.
Fascinating and apparently diverse socioeconomics.
a good mix of the rich, the eccentric and the near destitute
I wonder where the old salts went. now i know.
Dylan: the raised deck at 1:13 looks like Annie Hill's "Badger".
All the best,
David N.
do the boat owners pay rent or do they own the land adjacent to where they are moored?
The stories some of these old girls could tell.
well it's not the Miami beach marina. but hey, livin on a boat is livin on a boat.
prettty amazing innit!

Какая красота! Мечтаю так пожить и поработать на такой лодке.
Some boats i would have for converting into nice weekend fishing boats but most of them i do not like for living on.

Boat porn love it.

keep the batteries charged for the lights - heating usually by wood or gas
so cool wish I could hook a small one up to my electric trolling motor ha idk how absurd it is to think I could do so but a man can dream lol
There’s some doer uppers in that lot .
very nice; I am disappointed with the way windows were fitted to the sides of some boats...too bad overhead windows were not fitted...but not my call thanks :)
I love seeing what people do to turn boats into homes - inspiring
I recall seeing a video where 2 UK guys were doing up a canal boat...it was a good video
What do these people do when they either have to haul out or the boat rots away under them? In any case, what happens to these boats at the end of their usefulness?
the people stop paying their licence and then the water authority comes alone with a JCB on a barge
du rêve
did anyone notice the Mr Whippy van at 1.00 in
The name Yorkshire makes me think this is in England, Yes?
Where else?
I love the idea of living on my boat but the sight of all those boats along the water is not very attractive.
oh dear, the sight of people living is so awful! I live on a boat on the river lea and trust me the sight of all the boats on the banks is not ugly.
Oh Dear, you have an Opinion too?! what a coincidence!
*universe implodes*
That would not be an easy life without shore electricity.

@@KeepTurningLeft Like living in an RV off the grid but more maintainence. I can see how it would be enjoyable.
Nowhere does the poop go when they flush the toilet
This is not the way to pb and j otter's home!
sorry.... maybe I should dump it

Same boats different angles sorry
Ugly boats should be illegal.
And who should decide whats ugly.....you?x
+coffeefish beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. It's a boat ghetto/slum. LOL
coffeefish every one of these boats is beautiful in its own way.
Your opinion is ugly and needs to be illegal ;-)
Oh Boy! You can sure see the link between poverty & mental illness here!
Need some shitty music to ruin the whole thing. LOL
Shameful , unsightly long past retirement ,, in short junk sums it up
