To answer the second line of the description, they focus so hard on graphics because it feigns legitimacy. They're not making a game, they need to look like they're making a game, just long enough to sell enough useless tokens. None of these things are ever going to be finished. Trust me, if this was a passion project, there'd be something interesting. They're all always generic, stock asset projects. It's always whatever they can grab off the shelf to make it the fastest.

tbh that's kinda understandable if the game is really complex like From the Depths (naval battle game where you build your own vehicles) or Crusader Kings. Those can be really overwhelming even with an in-game tutorial

I think as a snapshot of where these games were at, the videos are really really good. But as you say, it's the same old thing over and over with these games. Seems to be a limited amount you can squeeze out of them.
I can see the value in doing a raw, here's me trying to play a crypto game for real. Good games don't leave you baffled and struggling in real time.

Crypto gaming will never be accepted by the mainstream gaming community. Pay to win is almost generally accepted to be bad in gaming, and then crypto gaming comes out trying to make pay to win a good thing...
The only reason to want pay to win is because you have the money to flaunt and/or so your NFTs/tokens have value that you can cash out on the new players coming in.

Web3 / Crypto gaming might do ok in some form when: the crypto/nft part is built around the game and NOT a 'game' built around crypto/Nfts. But thank you for doing a critique of the actual game here, we need more of this kind of honest critique on crypto games - so people dont waste their money investing in to mediocre gaming projects, (hyped up by crypto influencers who only care about the crypto aspect and view the actual game with rose tinted glasses.) Also tells crypto games developers that this will not cut it, if they want to put out something genuinley good and not just ride on the back of a fad and/or rug pull.
