- Hello Friends, ASMR Bookishness here with a video about the books I've liked best in the last three years. Unlike my last video these are books I've only read once, but I really loved them. This is part one of two, part two will be posted Sunday 3/26.
Sorry I only have closed captioning for the first half, I ran out of my allotted time to work on this. I will see if I can edit and finish them after posting the video, honestly don't know if I can or not.

That stop motion opening sequence is SO cute!
Thank you! I had so much fun making it, gave me a whole new respect for people who make stop motion videos.
Book ASMR is absolutely my favorite style of ASMR (especially after my nightly reading session). This feels like the perfect channel for me lol
Oh yay! I’m so glad you found my channel then!
@@asmrbookishness same! I'm gonna need to restart this video though because I passed out 10 minutes in lol
Love all things books and ASMR! Great video
And sub'ed for your intentionality around reading diverse authors/stories! 💜
Yay, thank you!
Just binged all three of your vids and while I don't usually watch asmr, I have been really into watching book videos and this got recommended to me. I love your video style, and am excited to watch your future vids! Do you have any queer book recs aside from what you have shown in this vid? I love reading queer books but it is sooo hard to find books that aren't insanely overhyped or sound vastly uninteresting. And books that do have good story with well-written queer characters, like you said, get lost with no indication in the summaries.
Aw, thank you! I definitely have other queer books that I love, what kind of books do you like? That would help me decide what to recommend.
@@asmrbookishness Currently I'm into realistic-feeling books, stuff with lots of emotion and an intense story? I don't read a lot of fantasy anymore but if the story and characters feel real enough I don't mind it. I really hate cheesy romance, stuff like Red, White, and Royal Blue or other trope-y romance is just so.... unappealing. I also like books with very pretty writing, stuff that makes me go "Wow, I'm never gonna forget that line."
Hmmm...I do usually read fantasy, so my recommendations will lean that way. Every Heart a Doorway is fantasy but has really great characters, world building, and writing plus a very intense storyline so that might appeal if you can look past the fantasy aspect. A Psalm for the Wild Built is sci fi same with The Memory Librarian, In the Dream House is a memoir and definitely an intense story to read. Dead Dead Girls is a mystery, the main character is a lesbian although you get no hint of that in the book description. Everyone in This Room will Someday Be Dead is more slice of life style, but the main characters anxiety disorder made it a very intense read for me, same with Honey Girl. That's all the non romance I can think of off the top of my head.
Thank you so much! I'll add those to the TBR and let you know when I read them!
awesome video ! hugs to u my fellow bookworm ! subbed x
I know you said last 3 years but I am BEYOND disappointed not to see Tomb Of Sand here 😭
It's in part two! About 22 minutes into the video I will be posting next Sunday.
