kit castaneda Don't forget James Newton Howard because he makes the music on an emotional level while Hans Zimmer makes it on a epic level, I know your comment is old but I'm just saying.

I 1000% agree. it was a amazing and brilliant end to the trilogy. yeah the last movie would of been better if health leadger didn't die because I'm 98% sure that joker would of been the villain again for the 3rd and final movie of trilogy. because at the end of the dark knight he stops joker and almost throws him off building but then catches him with his grapple gun and joker is just hanging there and that's the last u see of him. so he either went to prison or Arkham Asylum. which is crazy if you think about it because if the 3rd movie would of been him breaking out of arkham it would of been awesome and it would be like the batman arkham games but a chris Nolan movie .
Kinda makes me sad knowing that we'll never get a movie like this from nolan or pretty much anyone else ever again. Bale IMHO will always be the best batman out of all of them.
You say that, but Inception was brilliant. However, yes, this by far will be the best Batman we will ever see. I feel so privileged that it happened for our generation.
Marvelous bvs was garbage compared to this. so many plot holes inconsistencies and just poorly written its like a 5/10 at best. the ultimate version made it way better but still a weak ass superhero movie. and lets not talk about suicide squad...
Director : Christopher Nolan Background Score : Hans Zimmer Actors : Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Micheal Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron eckhart Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy When you have this kind of lineup, possibilities of things going wrong is next to impossible...Take a bow masters for giving us the masterpieces which we didn't deserve but surely did need...!!!
That line is literally what makes batman the best superhero. Every superhero takes the fame and the thank yous, takes the photos for the paper, etc. but batman doesn't need that he doesn't even allow his closest ally in the war for saving Gotham say Thank you. These are my favourite movies ever made. And batman is my favourite character ever.
Maybe because these two sentences do already give an introduction to the sequel's (The Dark Knight) main conflict. The conflict between chaos and order/meaning. Whereas the Joker does everything in his power to disprove the existence of meaning, Batman inspite of being a broken man fights for a greater cause, the city he loves. His actions don't aim at some form of appreciation or respect. He gives unconditionally - which is why he can become the Dark Knight. In our human experience - I belive - perfect love seems to manifest itself when we give to others willing the good of the other. It is truly unconditional. Unconditionally giving. This is why we might dare to believe that "God is love." (1. John 4:16) A God who became man, lived the perfect - sinless - life, taking all punishment upon himself and dying the most dreadful death one can possibly imagine sothat we might be saved. What more could one give - how could one give more unconditionally? Love is not only what God is like, it is who he is. Love only exists in communion, in relationship. Therefore, God by his very essence must be something like a relationship of love. The love between Father and Son. And since God is beyond our human intellect and reason, love can be what Christian theology calls the Third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit. One in being/essence, three in person. Love is who he is. In Thomas Aquinas' words, God is 'ipsum esse per se subsistens'. Being itself subsisting. The sheer act of being. Love. That is what we see in the first books of the bible to our salvation in Jesus Christ. From the God who gives by creating, from the burning bush which was not consumed by its flames of self-giving love, to Pentecost. Then, "what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on their heads" - the Holy Spirit. God is love. :) If love is the ground of existence, these two sentences (“I never said thank you.” “And you’ll never have to.”) cause goosebumps because they point directly at the very meaning of life. Joker: "You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve." -The Joker Batman: "What where you trying to prove? That deep down everyone is as ugly as you? [...] This city just showed you that it is full of people ready to believe in good." I recommend the clip of their final fight "And Here We Go (Batman vs Joker)" here on UA-cam. Sums it all up.
That was a great pair of lines. And when Bruce reveals to Gordon he is Batman in Rises he shows why Gordon will never have to say thank you. It was because he helped a little boy who was crushed.
I literally cried at the ending of TDKR, no not in the Alfred confessing in front of the Parents scene, The scene where Batman tell Gordon that the hero can be anyone and flies away, that is the moment where i realized that this trilogy is over, that Batman Begins was one of the greatest films ever made, that TDK changed the history of cinematography, that Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale will die eventually and all we can watch is TDK trilogy to remember them. The visual throwback just cut millions of onions in front of me.
Ka Moa let’s give Bale another 40 or 50 years to live, make movies. He’s a great actor! The Dark Knight trilogy is a masterpiece, and I’ll continue to watch all three films forever.
@@asm7406 Wrong. David Goyer who assisted with the stories said in an interview that the ending of Bruce persevering was planned from the beginning. Don't go off rumors buddy.
i still love the fact that all endings focused around Jim Gordon (reflecting Gotham) and teaches the audience on how two determined people can change and bring Gotham back to it's fundamentals, embracing and enduring the consequences for the sake of the greater good and finally being the "hope" for the people of Gotham.
Wooooooooowwwwww! I never picked up on that! The last person you see BATMAN on screen with in all three movies is Jim Gordon! Absolutely true! In TDKR, the last time you see BRUCE he is in the presence of Alfred and Selina (both sources of Love) but BATMAN does last speak to Jim Gordon before he takes off in the Bat. I'm going to have to ponder your observation further because it seems very deliberate; definitely not by chance. I love how Nolan doesn't always spell everything out for you...you gotta delve deep for the details because he gives them to you; but you have to connect the dots. But I like your assessment of what is accomplished and it does fit. Nice!
People don't understand the simple truth: Batman levels up each time he defeats a nemesis, indicated by his deep voice. Watch all of Batman Begins: Batman sounds normal throughout most of the movie... until he beats Scarecrow. Then he beats Ra's Al Ghul and his voice at the end is more coarse. At the beginning of The Dark Knight, he has the deep, throat cancer voice because he's been kicking ass on the streets for a couple of years. After defeating the Joker, at the end of the Dark Knight, he becomes even more incoherent with: "You'll be in a padded cell, forever!" It's only natural that at the end of The Dark Knight Rises, Bruce would need to hang his cowl up or else no one would understand what the fuck he's saying.
+You don't know what you're talking about I'm not a native speaker and I understood everything he said, so I don't get all this fuss about the voice...
I remember seeing The Dark knight Rises in theaters. Everyone began clapping thunderously when Bruce was revealed to be alive and he smiles and nods to Alfred. I've never experienced anything like that since!! This Batman trilogy is goddamn PERFECT!!
Same experience here! A moment of silence for those who never got the chance to see this trilogy in the theaters and another moment of silence for those that were ever unsure that Bruce does in fact survive at the end of TDKR.
But there are two theories of that ending. 1st theory is that it was Alfred's imagination because in the first 40 minutes of the movie, he told to Bruce that he imagine coming to a restoran and seeing Bruce sitting in front of him with his wife and 2nd theory is that he was alive. For me, first theory makes more sense, but however that was probably the greatest ending scene I've ever seen.
@@hristijandimitrovski8664 I've had this debate too but want a happy ending so look to the fact that Selina is wearing the pearls. Alfred could imagine the ending but not with her wearing the pearls.
@@Mark-wx6xr I don't know, for me there is no sense to still be alive after everything he did. He simply saved an entire city and I don't know how you can alive when explotion like that happened...
@Jeamus The idea and concept of "Batman" still lives. Bruce Wayne is the DEFINITIVE Batman. Except its alluding to the fact that ANYONE can be A BATMAN. which means ANYONE is capable of Heroism.
Just a FYI,at first Christopher Nolan decided to let Bruce died in TDKR and ended that way...however luckily Nolan's brother insist Bruce lived thats how we get a ultimate emotional ending.
What you guys think of Guts the Black Swordsman from Kentaro Muira's Berserk????He was once a known hero and but now a "known" villain. You can google him to get a clearer view.
Me: You really started something Mr. Nolan. Clooney running scared, hope on DC restored Nolan: But Me: But Superman Returns sucked, and we still haven't picked up Clooney or half the actors that killed Batman Nolan: We will. We can make DC kick ass again? Me: But what about a team-up? Nolan: A team up? Me: We start making Batman awesome again, Marvel has X-Men and more super hero movies. We start planning a Justice League movie, they make The Avengers Nolan: And Me: And you made an epic trilogy, and real kick ass. Now take this guy, he made Buffy, Firefly, got a taste for superheroes like you, and made this movie. (turns the picture and reveals Joss Whedon) Nolan: I'll look into it Me: We Bat fans never said thank you Nolan: And you'll never have to.
SSJGegeta21 And switches into Matthew Mcconaughey's body, as an astronaut haunting his daughter's bedroom. Inter - dimensional Nolan: Fuck! Not him again.
This Trilogy changed my life as well as saved it. Reason why is because my mom was so excited to see Batman Begins with me, but life happened so she passed away before it was released in June of 2005... I love my mom always as I always it was all thanks to my mom that I love watching Batman when I was growing up, I just wished she lived so can watch this epic batman trilogy with me enjoying the cinematic masterpiece of superhero movies really are. Like Bruce I know what it's like to lose someone you really cared about & how much it hurts, it feels so heart wrenching that you wish you could have done something but you make a vow & promise to the people you lost to make a difference to help others. Seeing Batman Begins literally awe inspired me for how Christian Bale's portrayed his character of Bruce Wayne & what he became; he was an angry man in pain from losing his parents. He overcame his tragedy & turned his fear into his strength through trail & error learning all things about the criminal mind, learning to sharpen his senses, reaching new feats of combat training, techniques of all kinds of mix Martial arts, using his whit & his technology from Fox to help solve the cases, but most importantly he never gives up. Along with the help his friends Rachel Dawes, Jim Gordan, Alfred Pennyworth, Harvey Dent, & Robin John Blake, through out all the 3 movies. Christopher Nolan & his crew of dedicated people renewed batman & worth the lined up of all talented actors Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Cillian Murphy, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard & Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The Dark Knight is & always will be the EPIC middle page of the story of the epic fight between The Batman vs. The Joker, Two Face aka Harvey Dent was a good twist of tragic hero turned villain. The ending left me wondering; just speechless in awe because Batman became the villain in order to keep Gotham from falling in the depths of despair of losing hope all that's good & justice. The Dark Knight Rises is & always will be my favorite movie of all time as well as the best accurate written Batman movie ever made! Wally Pfister did amazing cinematography in all three films but TDKR was his best work. Hans Zimmer made all three scores with extraordinary results along James Howard who did BB with him which made Batman's theme even more impressive yet emotional epic yet powerful! Emma Thomas was the great support to the Nolan Brothers & David Goyer executed & did a amazing job writing the script screenplay for all 3 movies for beginning, a middle & ending! Christopher & Johnathon Nolan knew what they we're doing, they crafted an epic trilogy story of one of most iconic & definitive superhero character ever created through history that Bob Kane & Bill Finger did in 1939. I hold this trilogy close to my heart because it reminded me why I keep my promise to my mom & became my own legend of my own story like Bruce Wayne began as Batman, fallen as a broken man, & then RISES with resolve determined to save everyone he loves as well as the people of Gotham facing against Bane & Talia al Ghul fulfilling Ra's al Ghul's dark dream of destroying the city for his twisted balance of restoring society. Bruce Wayne needed someone in his life that love him as both himself & as Batman which is my favorite Catwomen/Selina Kyle played by Anne Hathaway. Good love story & I'm glad to see that ending with them being together. Me & my girlfriend saw this on the opening marathon night of TDKR on July 19th in IMAX. That experience is something I will never forget as long as I live knowing I had my other half beside me sharing the goosebumps, laughter, tears & emotions along those cheering, clapping & the look of thrilled faces just a big smile on my face that the conclusion of The Dark Knight Trilogy was complete the right way & made sense. I was satisfied building up all the memories I had through 2005, 2008 & 2012 seeing & experiencing this cinematic journey through my own eyes. I never see something this special ever again in a movie theater but I'll hold this to my heart for my mom as dear memory of batman stands for a symbol. Christian Bale performed as the best Batman I've ever seen on a live screen. I'll never forget that & I love watching them on 4K in my own home. I'll always have that to remember! Long Live The Dark Knight Legend! 🦇
Batman Begins is the best movie IMO. The whole atmosphere is so spot on. The soundscape, visual imagery, the color tone, the gothic appearance of Gotham, everything was on point in Begins. My two favorite aspects of this movie are the soundscape/soundtrack and sepia tone.
+the people's king Well I'm sure if Marvel had directors and Actors of the same talent it could be very equal but we all know the DC Comics and their characters are far more interesting and amazing.
+the people's king What? You're judging DC as an entity and not a property. The truth is WB gives directors freedom meanwhile Disney just plays it safe and makes bank on toy sales.
The Dark Knight Trilogy is a medicine for the tired minds of today's generation. When you watch these movies and their ending scenes, the best thing you can do is cheer and tear 😇
Got a whole YT folder dedicated to his music and the different live performances as well as recorded OST for this trilogy. It's a whole separate character in these movies for me - just like the people LOL. Hats off to Nolan for recognizing the genius and bringing him on board but also have to give credit to James Newton Howard. Quickie simplified comment out of Hans's mouth at one of his concerts is that Howard composed for Bruce Wayne character and Hans composed for Batman and the villains. More oversimplification, if it hits you in the feels (Bruce as a boy, Bruce and Rachel's scenes etc.) it was likely JNH. The main TDK theme is the exception and I believe it was either them both or just Hans because he has videos of himself and musicians performing it. Joker's theme, Bane's theme, Hans all the way. Whole thing amazing!
I watch the Dark Knight trilogy when I feel low in life. Especially Batman Begins, where our guy becomes the hero he is, and The Dark Knight Rises, where he falls and hits the bottom but then rises, just like heroes always do. A work of art, this trilogy shall remain the best one ever.
Hans Zimmers film scores for this trilogy are just like magic. What an an imagination. This music makes the movie on another level. The depth and emotion are other worldly. Just amazing.
The best ending has to be the one from batman begins. I mean, come on, a reference that we would see one of the best villain in comics history? And then in the Dark Knight Heath Ledger nailed the part! I cheered when I saw the Joker's card, and I wasn't dissapointed! The Dark Knight is still the best superhero movie out there!
weelll... I totally agree! Dark knight is one of the best super heroes but I am disappointed in the first movie. It doesn´t have a good ending. The second one is really amazing!
Fifa GB never will i either. i watched batman begins in theaters yeah. but i wasnt allowed in for the dark knight because i wasnt 16 yet, (i was like 14
I like ending of the Dark Knight the most but love the movement of each piece at the end of Dark Knight Rises...shxt was genius especially when Blake's score kicked in. I was like yes my favorite piece is back and sounds even better lol
“Sometimes, truth isn’t good enough. Sometimes, people deserve more. Sometimes, people deserve to have their faith rewarded.” I’ve thought about this line so much throughout COVID. It says something so essential about what we need to in order to be human.
"I never said thank you." "And you'll never have to." Batman Begins gets down in two lines what the dark knight tried to get down in its entire ending. Still love the dark knight ending, but batman begins's was just better to me.
Marcos Rosales Thats why he's the best superhero regardless if it's DC or Marvel. He's expendable. He can make choices only he could make. He doesnt talk smack. Enter, sweep the area, leave without a trace.
+Marcos Rosales I agree. I've seen Batman Begins at least 100 times since it came out and I still love it. Not to mention Bale's Batman voice is tolerable in this film.
There are great movies in both DC/Marvel universes. But Nolan's dark knight trilogy will always stand out as a monument to not only super hero films, but all films. These weren't just the movies we wanted and needed, but the movies we deserved, we want to thank Nolan and the reat of the staff, but we'll never have to, we know it'll eventually be replaced, be we won't forget, these movies... were THE BATMAN.
The music composed by Hans Zimmer and James N. Howard played a big role in success of this trilogy and made each of the film so epic and great. Chris Nolan certainly did a fantastic job, but I mean, the soundtrack in itself is just so epic that you can listen and enjoy it anytime without even watching the movie.
"People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy, I can't do that as Bruce Wayne, as a man, im Flesh and blood, I can be ignored I can be destroyed, but, as a symbol I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting." -Excerpt taken from Batman Begins. By the end of Dark Knight Rises Bruce has achieved this goal, his mission is complete. That is what is what the trilogy was ultimately about, how a man became an idea, a symbol of hope for some and a terrifying warning to those who would seek to prey on the powerless and the innocent.
These films have a substance that Marvel, DCEU and mist films lack. This is literal art on screen. Thank you Bale, Nolan, Zimmer, Caine, Oldman, Ledger, Freeman. And thanks Bill Finger.
People might disagree on who the best Batman was, but never in doubt the Nolan trilogy, especially the ending sequences combined with Zimmer's sound gives you chills.
After seeing this, I just realized that every ending with the bat signal represented the movie. The first was birth, second was being broken, and the third was rebuilding
Fun facts: Christian Bale lost his voice 5 times during the production of TDK and TDKR. Heath Ledger directed the clips that were sent to GCN. They broke one IMAX camera while filming the chase scene in TDK. Both caves in Batman Begins and TDKR were built from scratch. Bane's layer too. Jake Gyllenhaal auditioned for the role of Batman, but lost it to Bale. Later Jake's sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal played the role of Rachel Dawes. Other people who auditioned for the role of Batman include: Cillian Murphy, Heath Ledger. Christian Bale fell asleep while shooting the scene where Bruce wakes up in Batman Begins, Michael Caine was the one who woke him up. They were originally planning to end the trilogy with a bad note, by letting Bruce stay dead. But J Nolan insisted on bringing him back from the dead. (Lazarus)
Where does the notion that Bruce was supposed to die fucking come from? That's never been confirmed, David Goyer talked about wanting him to live on from the beginning.
One other fun fact. Bale’s wife is a stunt driver and was chasing Batman in one of the cop cars! Bale adores his wife but jokingly said his wife terrified him because she’s so bad ass! 😂😂
@Kai McCook You're confusing the term "rebirth" with "resurrection", according to Bible, Jesus was resurrected, came back to life, he wasn't born again as a baby, like soul moving and stuff, that's what rebirth is about. So TDK trilogy actually parallels with those -ism ideologies (hinduism, buddhism, and whateverism out there), not with the christian religion. No one in the Bible was reborn. There's the Lazarus Pit, that grants Ra's Al Ghul immortality, it's named after Lazarus, the guy in the Bible, who got (again the term) resurrected like Jesus. But the Lazarus Pit is in the Batman comic books, not in Nolan's movies. Christian religion is not about soul moving, rebirth and stuff like that, it's mostly about resurrections, though only in those two cases.
+rick nineg A lot of heroes have some similarities to Christ and can be very Christ-like. Batman is very much at the pantheon of these kind of characters, though.
Stop ruining superheroes with this Christ shit. Batman is not like Jesus. And sorry to burst your bubble but Superman was made by two immigrant Jews from Europe in an attempt to provide hope for the discriminated Jews worldwide.
NeonTime dude he was never even talking about Superman. And you can't deny the similarities between them all. Btw, those two Jewish guys only created the concept of Superman, his entire origins, morals, and what he was meant for came way later with other writers.
@Kai McCook This comment made me feel a little better about the fact that there was almost no "The Dark Knight Rises". I genuinely feel/felt that TDK ending wasn't as conclusive and really need Rises to fully round out and bring the story to a close. This comment helped me see TDK as a little more conclusive. Thanks
@@nicname3147 Nolan still left the door open for a third installment, only if he felt fully invested. It's great that he focused on one at a time while leaving some things in to use in future films.
one of the biggest reason why this 3 movies worked, was because they got the villain right, for all 3 movies... The cast, the story, the acting, all on point. The success to a good super hero movie is actually in the villain. Get that right and you have a master piece on your hand.
+Courtney Gibson Despite the fact that indeed Its very clear that In ''The dark knight rises'' John blake is the new batman But i'm 100% sure he would make an amazing Nightwing I would love a ''Nightwing'' Movie starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Uh Not sure what to comment here, so here is a recipe for banana bread instead: Ingredients 2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled 1/3 cup melted butter 1 cup of sugar (can easily use 3/4 cup, or drop it down to 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet) 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon baking soda Pinch of salt 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour Method Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes (check at 50 minutes) at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve. (A bread knife helps to make slices that aren't crumbly.
I think the batman rises ending is good and epic,it converts a message of passing a legacy of the batman career, even he is no longer protecting Gothem,Robin will be there and finish his job just like what he was doing. The old man might retire, but the young kid keeps continuing his legend
The music that plays at the end of Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises is intentional. In both instances, it's playing as Bruce says "Sometimes, people deserve to have their faith rewarded". Everyone at the end of TDKR thought Bruce to be dead, but were slowly reassured with evidence showing that he had survived. Their BELIEF in his survival, that maybe he DIDN'T die, or that they could have done something to help, was "rewarded". And out of all of them, Alfred himself, who was most distraught, and probably believed that Bruce had died, was thankfully relieved to see Bruce happy, alive, and with someone who he loves and who loves him.
At the end of TDKR when i saw the unveiling of the Batman statue i started tearing up. Just the emotional music and knowing the best Batman movies ever were coming to an end

A God who became man, lived the perfect - sinless - life, taking all punishment upon himself and dying the most dreadful death one can possibly imagine sothat we might be saved.
If love is the ground of existence, these two sentences (“I never said thank you.” “And you’ll never have to.”) cause goosebumps because they point directly at the very meaning of life.
Joker:
"You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve." -The Joker
Batman:
"What where you trying to prove? That deep down everyone is as ugly as you? [...] This city just showed you that it is full of people ready to believe in good."
I recommend the clip of their final fight "And Here We Go (Batman vs Joker)" here on UA-cam. Sums it all up.
That was a great pair of lines. And when Bruce reveals to Gordon he is Batman in Rises he shows why Gordon will never have to say thank you. It was because he helped a little boy who was crushed.
Gordon: "I never said Thank You."
Batman : "And you'll never have to."
*goosebumps*
Batman Begins is a classic; criminally misunderstood and overlooked.
@wogjuan Nolan didn't kill him, apparently it was Warner who put pressure on Nolan.
@@asm7406 Wrong. David Goyer who assisted with the stories said in an interview that the ending of Bruce persevering was planned from the beginning. Don't go off rumors buddy.
@@MrQuinceJam The Dark Knight gets all the credit but for me Begins was the best of the Trilogy, all three films were great though.
I don't care what anyone says about Rises, it rounds out three of the BEST ending scenes in film history.
Anyone who hates TDKR is weird to me! They treat BB & TDK like they're both 100% and treat TDKR like some 30% or sth...I don't get that!
YESSSSSSS I KNOW EXCATLY WHAT YOU MEBANDBDJDJD
I loved the movie
I like all 3 movies Nolan gave us
I’m more of a Marvel guy but man TDKR has an amazing ending and was a great movie
Damn I got goosebumps three times in less than 8 minutes, that cannot be good for my health.
Son Of Montreal Yes, you should be afraid. Goosebumps have been known to be deadly ya know.
adyh2003 This also gave me leaky eyes! I'm worse off than you guys? :'(
But its good for "Heath" xD
Yeah, we're all gonna die.
Good for the soul
Thank you so much Mr. Nolan, this trilogy means so much to my life!
Me too. I learnt so much from a man who dosen't exit!
+Julien Doré *exist
Christopher Nolan: You'll never have to thank me.
Yeah! Just truth
You don't have to thank me
i still love the fact that all endings focused around Jim Gordon (reflecting Gotham) and teaches the audience on how two determined people can change and bring Gotham back to it's fundamentals, embracing and enduring the consequences for the sake of the greater good and finally being the "hope" for the people of Gotham.
Nice!
I get chills at the ending of TDKR....such a perfect ending ....
the smile on Gordon´s face is priceless.....
People don't understand the simple truth:
Batman levels up each time he defeats a nemesis, indicated by his deep voice.
Watch all of Batman Begins:
Batman sounds normal throughout most of the movie... until he beats Scarecrow. Then he beats Ra's Al Ghul and his voice at the end is more coarse.
At the beginning of The Dark Knight, he has the deep, throat cancer voice because he's been kicking ass on the streets for a couple of years.
After defeating the Joker, at the end of the Dark Knight, he becomes even more incoherent with: "You'll be in a padded cell, forever!"
It's only natural that at the end of The Dark Knight Rises, Bruce would need to hang his cowl up or else no one would understand what the fuck he's saying.
You don't know what you're talking about that attualy made the most sense even tho its not true it would make sense if thats what the reason was
+You don't know what you're talking about I'm not a native speaker and I understood everything he said, so I don't get all this fuss about the voice...

bingo... greatest...
I remember seeing The Dark knight Rises in theaters. Everyone began clapping thunderously when Bruce was revealed to be alive and he smiles and nods to Alfred. I've never experienced anything like that since!!
This Batman trilogy is goddamn PERFECT!!
Yes!
He simply saved an entire city and I don't know how you can alive when explotion like that happened...

bumble bee I say The Dark Knight Trilogy ending is amazing
This is too much emotion to watch all at once!!!! There will NEVER be comic book movies as amazing and good as these.
TDKR ending gave me chills the first time i watched it!
Adding up the music, those drums and horns in Dm and Bb. Man!
Just a FYI,at first Christopher Nolan decided to let Bruce died in TDKR and ended that way...however luckily Nolan's brother insist Bruce lived thats how we get a ultimate emotional ending.
So I'm guessing that before the brother intervened, the earlier scene in the movie about Alfred's fantasy didn't exist either
+NeonTime probably not
It's never been confirmed if Nolan exactly wanted Bruce to die. The ending with Bruce living on was discussed with David S. Goyer.
"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain"
*Cough* star wars *Cough*
Damn, you are so Right.
Yeah, but Darth Vader kinda did both... He lived to the point that he became the villain, and then died a hero.
+Bens Bricks It was his son, yeah he did save Luke.
I was actually thinking on Zack Snyder
What you guys think of Guts the Black Swordsman from Kentaro Muira's Berserk????He was once a known hero and but now a "known" villain. You can google him to get a clearer view.
Me: You really started something Mr. Nolan. Clooney running scared, hope on DC restored
Nolan: But
Me: But Superman Returns sucked, and we still haven't picked up Clooney or half the actors that killed Batman
Nolan: We will. We can make DC kick ass again?
Me: But what about a team-up?
Nolan: A team up?
Me: We start making Batman awesome again, Marvel has X-Men and more super hero movies. We start planning a Justice League movie, they make The Avengers
Nolan: And
Me: And you made an epic trilogy, and real kick ass. Now take this guy, he made Buffy, Firefly, got a taste for superheroes like you, and made this movie.
(turns the picture and reveals Joss Whedon)
Nolan: I'll look into it
Me: We Bat fans never said thank you
Nolan: And you'll never have to.
SSJGegeta21 lmfao
SSJGegeta21 And switches into Matthew Mcconaughey's body, as an astronaut haunting his daughter's bedroom. Inter - dimensional
Nolan: Fuck! Not him again.
Well done sir
This is amazing haha!
Holy shit it all makes sense now. Nolan is the batman!
this was beautiful to read, thank you for sharing this ❤
chills. chills everytime in each end.
the way gordon says "dark knight" at the end of TDK is absolutely perfect
Batman Begins is the best movie IMO. The whole atmosphere is so spot on. The soundscape, visual imagery, the color tone, the gothic appearance of Gotham, everything was on point in Begins. My two favorite aspects of this movie are the soundscape/soundtrack and sepia tone.
Absolutely agree. There was more of a blue hue to the next one which isn't terrible but it felt cold. Then 3 was almost back to form.
Sai Ramesh it does
CPLTarun I agree. although TDK is most favorite to people, BB is always my favorite.
I agree 😊
Aathmastralis BB was the most Gothic (sepia tone). Rises had that sentimental epic tone to it (grey). TDK had a cutting-edge modern feel (blue)
The feelings after these endings
Batman Begins ― *Wide Eyes*
The Dark Knight ― *Choking Throat*
The Dark Knight Rises ― *Goosebumps All Over !!!*
Not to be toxic or anything, but this 7:40 minute clip has literally given me ten times more satisfaction than any Marvel movie out there.
to me the only reason the trilogy was good was because of the actors and director nothing to do with dc
+the people's king Well I'm sure if Marvel had directors and Actors of the same talent it could be very equal but we all know the DC Comics and their characters are far more interesting and amazing.
Jake Pursey that's not necessarily true. It seems like you're being biased because you like dc
+the people's king What? You're judging DC as an entity and not a property. The truth is WB gives directors freedom meanwhile Disney just plays it safe and makes bank on toy sales.
+Jake Pursey The giant cluster*ck that is Batman v Superman begs to differ on that one, you troll.
The Dark Knight Trilogy is a medicine for the tired minds of today's generation. When you watch these movies and their ending scenes, the best thing you can do is cheer and tear 😇
Nolan... What a genius...
Pure perfection. The script, the music, the ending, everything.
Can’t forget the legend Hans Zimmer, the man behind the amazing soundtrack.
Whole thing amazing!
never forget that the main sting of drawn out low note into a shorter high is...D, then C :)
The drums !!! The fucking drums at Alfred's scene !!! It's so fucking perfect !!! 😱😱😱😱s
Jeamus Ken If ain't broke, don't fix it.
+Rafael Sono Mera it doesnt have a good ending? are u drunk or something

The dark knight rises ending still hits me the hardest man. Chills every time

Sometimes, people deserve to have their faith rewarded.”
I’ve thought about this line so much throughout COVID. It says something so essential about what we need to in order to be human.
"I never said thank you."
"And you'll never have to."
Batman Begins gets down in two lines what the dark knight tried to get down in its entire ending.
Eh, he's not my favorite. Definitely up there though.
+Marcos Rosales Batman begins is a good batman movie, TDK is a good joker movie.
Thats why i prefer Begins for being deeper for batman and epic
+Marcos Rosales I agree. I've seen Batman Begins at least 100 times since it came out and I still love it. Not to mention Bale's Batman voice is tolerable in this film.
Spider Man.
I know the Dark Knight Rises had a lot of plot holes (Almost a 3 hour movie, something will probably be wrong with it), this is still an epic trilogy!
2.30 minutes to be exact, and i dont see any plot holes in that movie, all of them were explained smoothly in the first two movie
EVERY SUPERHERO FILM HAS PLOTHOLES!! All of them! Plotholes are a flawed argument!
the plot holes in the dark knight rises stood out more
Patrick Bateman what is a plothole in your terms?
Patrick Bateman u r Batman
Agreed absolutely!
"People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy, I can't do that as Bruce Wayne, as a man, im Flesh and blood, I can be ignored I can be destroyed, but, as a symbol
I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting."
-Excerpt taken from Batman Begins.
By the end of Dark Knight Rises Bruce has achieved this goal, his mission is complete. That is what is what the trilogy was ultimately about, how a man became an idea, a symbol of hope for some and a terrifying warning to those who would seek to prey on the powerless and the innocent.
Goosebumps all over the place
Everything about this trilogy is absolutely incredible.
These films have a substance that Marvel, DCEU and mist films lack. This is literal art on screen.
Thank you Bale, Nolan, Zimmer, Caine, Oldman, Ledger, Freeman.
And thanks Bill Finger.
Levitt aswell
People might disagree on who the best Batman was, but never in doubt the Nolan trilogy, especially the ending sequences combined with Zimmer's sound gives you chills.
god damn, that last movie ending...so perfect
The Dark Knight had the best ending. It felt the most complete
Ventura the Ace Dark Knight is just all around legendary
All three feel complete.
rises has an equally complete ending, even better in my opinion
After seeing this, I just realized that every ending with the bat signal represented the movie. The first was birth, second was being broken, and the third was rebuilding

No other film ending has ever given me the same feeling that the ending of the dark knight does. So fucking good.
The best comic book movie ever . Nolan please comeback for DC !!!!!
shivam desai he produced man of steel
John Gotti bac when DC was amazing like The Dark Knight Trilogy & Man Of Steel 2013
John Gotti keyword is produced, he wasn't the director. That's why imo Man of Steel was trash lol
Rogue Drifter yeah but he is still their with DC. He may not be the director but he's still doing something.
find out the differences between a producer and director, he didn't do shit for that movie lol
I'm a big Marvel Fan,but winter solider, infinity war and endgame cannot reach nolan's trilogy's perfection
The endings of 'The Dark Knight' and 'The Dark Knight Rises' are perfect
Michael Caine's facial expressions at 7:04 are incredible: confusion - realisation - stiff-upper-lipped delight. Perfection!
Love Gordons face when he sees the restored Bat signal.
Just thinking about this trilogy again after seeing the sh*t that is Batman v Superman sent shudders through my body.
Apart from the fact that the depiction on Batman in BvS is vastly superior to this

Fun facts:
Christian Bale lost his voice 5 times during the production of TDK and TDKR.
(Lazarus)
Delsin Rowe Learn to fucking read
someone noticed that voce of Heath Ledger as the Joker sounds like Luke Skywalker.
I knew all of those except for the last one.
Lazarus! I never knew

you grew up on some good stuff man
I just realized the endings are like Buddhism a little bit. Birth(begins) death(TDK) rebirth(TDKR)
luke harper no nigga
Anyone still here September 2019??

The greatest Christ-like character ever created.
+rick nineg A lot of heroes have some similarities to Christ and can be very Christ-like. Batman is very much at the pantheon of these kind of characters, though.
I like your point George. I think you are absolutely right.
Stop ruining superheroes with this Christ shit. Batman is not like Jesus. And sorry to burst your bubble but Superman was made by two immigrant Jews from Europe in an attempt to provide hope for the discriminated Jews worldwide.
+NeonTime Same with Captain America
NeonTime dude he was never even talking about Superman. And you can't deny the similarities between them all. Btw, those two Jewish guys only created the concept of Superman, his entire origins, morals, and what he was meant for came way later with other writers.
My heart soared when I saw Alfred got the happy ending he rightly deserved. Seeing Bruce live a happy life
The ending of each movie left you wanting more
@Kai McCook This comment made me feel a little better about the fact that there was almost no "The Dark Knight Rises". I genuinely feel/felt that TDK ending wasn't as conclusive and really need Rises to fully round out and bring the story to a close. This comment helped me see TDK as a little more conclusive. Thanks

one of the biggest reason why this 3 movies worked, was because they got the villain right, for all 3 movies... The cast, the story, the acting, all on point.
The success to a good super hero movie is actually in the villain. Get that right and you have a master piece on your hand.
The dry way he said "couldnt find any mob-bosses" always makes me chuckle
The theme in the end always gives me chills. I'm speaking for everyone at this point.
Nolan needs to film Nightwing starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt
+Courtney Gibson Despite the fact that indeed Its very clear that In ''The dark knight rises'' John blake is the new batman
But i'm 100% sure he would make an amazing Nightwing
I would love a ''Nightwing'' Movie starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt
They will never be a continuation of this trilogy. DC are making a cinematic universe much like marvels, which began with Man of Steel.

Even after almost 7 years, 5:25 still gives me the goosebumps
the music....astounding. Absolutely brilliant.
I watch this whenever I feel low, it gives me hope.
Gordon and Alfred are the only father figures Bruce had left after his real dad died. I love them because they are not just like a father to bruce, they are his best friends too. This is how the relationship to any father should be. Happy fathersday ❤️
Uh
Not sure what to comment here, so here is a recipe for banana bread instead:
Ingredients
2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup of sugar (can easily use 3/4 cup, or drop it down to 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet)
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
Method
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
(A bread knife helps to make slices that aren't crumbly.
thanks nigga
damn you.. now i want some banana bread!
Potomac Studios Always wished I had my grandmothers recipe for this, but this will do. Thank you.
Potomac Studios Ah, the pleasant simple wonders the internet can bring. :)
Potomac Studios I like to add walnuts and chocolate chips to mine.
2:35 - faith rewarded
6:05 - music
07:10 - the moment entire theatre errupted in applause.
Batman is alive? Or it was Alfred halucinating?
I think the batman rises ending is good and epic,it converts a message of passing a legacy of the batman career, even he is no longer protecting Gothem,Robin will be there and finish his job just like what he was doing.
The old man might retire, but the young kid keeps continuing his legend
This trilogy will always be the my most favourite. Perfection ❤️
I never noticed how alike those three endings are but still different. Incredibly ingenious.
