He is the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he is not our hero, he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a dark knight.
Mau Jo Like all Zimmer soundtracks, it's a collaboration. I bet he is also going to hire a dozen of ghost writers for this one too. Well, whatever, the music is good, so I have nothing to complain about.
My parents generation was Star Wars and the MCU is our generation cause Star Wars was talked about back then like if it was the MCU but Star Wars is still hella popular more popular than before
The Dark Knight did not have happy ending technically, but it left a great impression on me to this day. And the soundtrack really does help the story.
Neither did Terminator 2. Yeah T-1000 died but T-800 sacrificed himself and that shit just hurts to see but humanity in that world was saved cuz I would like that movie to end the franchise.
I find it a tragic, but still inspirational ending. It's about doing what's right, even if the very same people you're trying to protect will hunt you for it. Even if nobody ever knows about the ultimate sacrifice you've made. It's the kind of stuff that sets people in the right direction for their lives. It's the level of art that resonates throughout generations. Nolan's a fucking genius.
Bruce: People are dying Alfred , what would you have me do ? Alfred: Endure it Master Wayne , take it, They'll hate you for it, but that's the point of batman, he can be the outcast , because he can make the choice no one else can make, the right choice. Bruce: today I learned what Batman can't do, he can't endure this , today you get to say i told you so. Alfred : Today....I don't want to. Both Men walk towards an elevator platform as lights go off in the makeshift batcave Alfred : *under breath * But i did bloody tell you...I suppose they'll lock me up as well as your accomplice. Bruce : * Chuckles*.. Accomplice ?...I'm telling them the whole thing was your idea.
I have never in my life seen a movie with an ending as heroic and proud as this one. Any superhero can save the day by sacrificing their lives or giving up what they love, but something about how Batman sacrificed his self worth, his dignity, his reputation, and everything he stood for just to do what was right has my heart in swells EVERY FREAKING time I watch this masterpiece.
What really hits home for me, during that ending is when Bruce/Batman is saying to Gordon: “I killed those people. That’s what I can be.” And Gordon’s response was “No, no you can’t! You’re not!” because he knows exactly what the Batman stands for.. As do we all. But then Bruce’s “self-sacrifice” to say “I’m whatever Gotham needs me to be.” really hits the the nail on the head as to what he is willing to do/be for the city.
The ending of The Dark Knight I think literally brought me to tears lol. It gave me chills and I still hold it in high regards as far as movie endings go.
You people have got to be fucking kidding me? TDK having one of the best endings ever? Yeah, sure. How about instead of Batman taking the blame for Harvey's murders, have Batman just use his only true superpower being his impeccable deceptive skills and pin all of Harvey's murders on Joker or his henchmen instead of playing the part of the sacrificial lamb? Bruce/Batman is suppose to be the world's greatest deceptive, which he never is in any of these movies!
@@LordMalice6d9 the joker was already captured when Harvey was killed, so it would LITERALLY be impossible for him to kill Harvey, or to order henchmen to do it for him.

to be onest , what makes this trilogy so epic is not the hero named Batman , but the antagonists were the ones who made this trilogy so god damn good. I saw a lot of movies (and good ones not the low budget ones) in my life and i can tell you i've never seen a performance from an actor as best as Heath Ledger playing The Joker. And i'm not saying that because he died or anything like this. And we have to give some credits to Hans Zimmer!
and grey characters like two face, that's what makes this trilogy so great
agreed, heath ledger was the best phsychopath I have ever seen, a even beter phsychopath than christian bale.
and hans zimmer? the dark knight? modern warfare 2? inception? he's the god of movie/video game music
armoureddanger music in MW2/ Inception/Interstellar IS AMAZING
Abdul Kader hanz zimmer makes by far the best soundtrack music
armoureddanger Why does no one remeber MoS? It has an amazing score. Even better than Batman's imo.
Testosterone level up by 1000%

@@biggeek2256I agree, Best Batman Movie right now, but let's hope if Robert Pattinson's The Batman Movie is going to be great.
Nice Ruby Rose profile picture you got there. :)
For me, this video was preceded by an ad about an online course in which Hans Zimmer teaches how to score movies, but its students could only be a fraction of the greatness that Zimmer is.
Excellent movie and theme the dark knight
Really love how they end it with Joker's theme. RIP Heath
