CHRISTIAN Dior, elegance, elegance fashion designer.
Very interesting - thank you. :)
Love it
Muy interesante! La casa donde crecio, que bella!
Dior's talent was creating approachable fashion. Unlike today's designers.
Timeless class like Chanel you can't go wrong with either. Wearable art.
Maria Grazia you mean?
Tôi rất thích thương hiệu này
It' strange that Lisa Armstrong talks about Dior wearing a Chanel design.
His beliefs guided him throughout his personal and creative life, as well as his professional decisions. How do the commenters dare to call such beliefs "superstitious"? That's a derogatory meaning for such a beautiful thing, in my opinion. Shame on them.
I thought the house he grew up in was beautiful.
Love this designer!
Amen!!!
I appreciate that this doc articulates just how regressive Dior's 'new look' was--how classist it was, & how many women especially working women resented the constriction & regressive designs. I've always found it an ugly (& misogynist) fact of fashion that it's men telling women what female beauty is. I would love to see more women designers, & see a trend of women designing for women.
To The Lighthouse? A lighthouse is the symbol of light, the indication of the path, if not to follow, of the danger to be avoided. Your comment is quite the opposite, and precisely REGRESSIVE. Dior fashion was the epitome of elegance and beauty.
Coco Chanel might be more you speed, then; she designed a lot of clothes counter to Dior’s more ‘flowery’ figures throughout the 50’s- outfits that were a little more tailored to women in the workforce, among other things.
I personally much prefer Dior’s more elegant, aesthetic-focused Corolle look, but I don’t deny the cost a lot of his dresses probably had.
Maria Grazia Chiuri has been head designer at Dior since 2016 and I really like what she's been doing with the brand and the house.
El Tarot no es ninguna SUPERSTICI;ON es MUY REAL.
Oh I give a damn.
😝
Typical (wartime!) Germans! They already had Hugo Boss (literally a Boss name, sorry couldn't resist that awful joke/pun!) and they ALSO wanted Christian Dior! 😊
✌🏼😉👍🏼
