EHHH you guys got close enough hehe! Thank you for all the support that has been displayed on this playthrough. We still have a little left for the DLC but WOW what an incredible game! Also, SOMEHOW we hit 130k subscribers!! I seriously love this communuity. Thank you guys for making my dreams a reality. I promise to continue putting out the best quality videos i can. Thanks for watching! ❤
Can’t wait for the DLC I heard it’s really good. I can’t wait and congratulations 🍾 on 130k let’s keep going to more till u reach in my prediction 150k.
I kid you not I stared at that screen for 30 minutes going back and forth on what to do. I ended up sparing because I couldn't kill my family. Thank you for this playthrough Sky, it was so much fun to watch. Looking forward to the DLC!! ❤
But that's cruel and selfish from Jin's part. Also, he didn't mind playing along with Yuriko imagination to let her die happily and peacefully. Why not give Shimura the same courtesy?
I can see both sides being good, i personally chose to honor his wish despite not believing in that. I dont believe in burials and all that religious stuff, but i will bury my mother because it's her wish.
And yet he did ‘believe’ in the same Code as his uncle. By not helping his uncle to die with honor he was doing worse to a family member than killing him. When the new samurai arrive, Shimura’s not going to be Jito for long (politics). If he’s lucky, he’ll be allowed to commit seppuku.
Chose the same as you, Jin embraced the way of the Ghost, he pushed aside everything he believed to save his people, so it didn’t make sense to me to kill my only family out of the same honor i simply ignored to save unknown people. BTW, if you kill him, you get the White Ghost Armor instead of the Red you got.
Yes, instead, you leave him to be disgraced and put to death by the Shogun. By the way, he didn’t ignore honor, he just expressed it in a different way than his uncle. They shared many of the same values, but he was more like his father, who disagreed with Shimura on many things, too.
I chose the kill ending the first time I played. During the tutorial, Jin tells Lord Shimura about what he believes to be honor. Shimura interjects his (and the samurai’s) definition onto Jin. They spend this whole game arguing over the definition of what honor is, but it’s clear to me that Jin has his honor, he just defines it differently. And all of his actions, even becoming the ghost, completely align with how he defined honor in the beginning. I personally believed his own honor and compassion for what would happen to his uncle would have compelled him to grant his uncle’s wish. It may not be considered the cannon ending but when I saw the spare ending and Jin says he has no honor, I knew I’d made the right choice for me; because Jin absolutely does have his own honor.
I chose the kill option too. Jin only became the Ghost because he had to. Behind the mask, he was still Jin who had his honor and still considered Shimura his family. In my head canon, choosing the Spare option meant that the Ghost persona takes over and Jin as we know him is gone :(.
@@tsogobauggi8721 it’s not murder in samurai culture. It’s a warrior’s death and very honorable. What’s dishonorable according to their traditions is leaving his uncle to most likely be forced to commit seppuku as punishment. This is exactly why Jin says he has no honor in the spare ending.
@@petetrc9671 I don’t think I entirely agree with Jin and the Ghost being mutually exclusive entities but I completely get your point and why you chose the kill ending based on that
I also chose to Spare him cause at the time I played the game i had lost my Dad to Cancer so you can imagine how much of an emotional wreck i was playing this game, & I'm glad i did cause Red is my favorite color anyway & that new Red Ghost outfit was awesome, when i replayed the game years later i chose the other option to see the white Ghost armor & even though it looked great in all white i still prefered the Red so my first playthrough is my canon lol, thank you for this awesome playthrough & glad you enjoyed this Masterpiece, & thanks for making me cry so dang much while watching lol
Spared him on the first playthrough, Killed him in the second. I prefer the Kill ending: - This is his last act as a Sakai. - Uncle is probably going to die anyway, by his many, many wounds, or by the Shogun's order (he failed to control his province and now there's a Ghost movement). Also, the shogun in 1274 was a kid, meaning it was probably a council that decided this. - End scene is very well acted. Their final words to each other were... oof.
Totally agree with helping Shimura to end with honor. To spare him is to say that you’ve gone to the dark side, which you haven’t. Jin believed in a Code, most of which was the same as his uncles’s. Also, their final words were as poignant as the last words between Norio and his brother must have been.
I choose to spare as well as it fits in with the story of the ghost where he is not tied down by the doings of a samauri and in doing so you embraced the spirit of the ghost fully
When it came to the fight with the Khan, you do get grace for doing it in hard difficulty and also for not once using any special technique like the L3+R3 ghost stance at the buttom right of the screen, or the L1+R1 flurry rush at the buttom left of the screen, or smoke bombs that could've helped when he sent out a ton of men after you at once, and all of that ONTOP of you using your ghost armor instead of a combat one! Its only good for stealth, Ghost weapons which you didnt use, and ghost stance which you didnt use, so you had to fight against so many things, but you were determined, and you ended up doing it despite everything being against you on a harder difficulty, not only did you do it, but you did it in a way very very few others ever could, that is an impressive astonishing accomplishment in this game and shows a lot about your character with such determination, and your skills mastering the combat and enemies of this game As for the last choice, I spared, Jin is a character full of empathy and compassion and would never kill his Uncle like that, he knows his uncles hands are tied, by the Shogun and by the way he lived his life rigidly by his code, Jin would never kill his family, especially not for a fight strated by the Shogun, its also the canon good ending according to the director, but he also said his favorite is the bad ending of killing your uncle since he loves emotional tragedies
So…you think Jin should disrespect and dishonor his uncle, so he can be disgraced and put to death by the Shogun? That doesn’t show empathy or compassion.
@longago-igo Everyone uses the "Uncle will still die" argument but it's always a bad argument. The Shogun said it themselves they need him to remain the Jito of the island and be able to train all the new Samurai on how to fight the Mongols, even if he failed his mission to kill the ghost (a person known for being unkillable) he would still be alive and not killed by the Shogun And even if that argument doesn't work for you, here is another one This is a fantasy game and the ending is supposed to be good so it doesn't have to be realistic (even though it very much is) I mean Jin uses a Katana in the game which still wouldn't be invented for another 100 years from where the game takes place, it's a fantasy game after all
@@DayBlueberry-F Even within the world of fantasy games, politics will raise its ugly head. What the Shogun may have said and what he’ll do when Shimura doesn’t deliver are two different things. A clean sweep is called for, besides the Shogun will know that Shimura doesn’t know how to defeat the Mongols, so couldn’t train anyone to do it. It’s more likely that the Shogun would enlist Jin to train a group of Ninja Assassins. For Jin not to respect his uncles’s final request is to go completely to the dark side, which he wouldn’t do. Just because he has one point of disagreement with his uncle doesn’t mean that Jin doesn’t still believe in most of what he believed in before. The final words they share when Jin helps his uncle pass over are the words spoken by the Jin we have come to know. He’s not a petulant child to dishonor, disrespect and disobey his uncle in this moment.
Good play through sky! The reason you found Khotun hard is because you are supposed to used the wind (spear) stance with him. This is why you were not able to block break.
I like you gameplay Sky, and it was a joy to watch, but I confess that every time you lost a fully charged ghost mode because you simply didn’t used it I screamed internally hahah.
I was devastated when i had to fight Uncle Shimura at the end, Felt like i was sucker punched right in the face, I actually bought a PS5 just to play this amazing masterpiece, and after playing it, it instantly became my 2nd favorite game of all time, I finished the story 4 times and i spared Uncle Shimura in all my playthroughs, Even though they give you a great white armor after killing him but i can't do it and i never will 😂, Anyways i'm not here to bore you with my long speech, I loved your reactions, And i'm glad you liked the game.
Congratulations on finishing this masterpiece! You’re now the Skyy of Tsushima. Everything you had been saying leading to the uncle duel was hinting at you sparing him and you actually did it. What a strong character you have! 👏 I can’t wait to watch you play Iki Island! Best wishes!
What an incredible game!!! This was my first time watching Ghost of Tsushima, as I was unable to play it, and this playthrough did not disappoint. Thank you for the amazing playthrough, Sky!!!
One of things this story’s ending made me realize: there are dozens of stories where the hero sacrifices their life and “sacrifices everything”. But Jin sacrifices everything he KNOWS about his life. His code, his status, his home, even his family name. And the icing on the cake? He lives, and has to keep living with the fact that he can never go back to the way things were before the invasion, no matter how hard he fought
I killed Lord Shimura. It's what he wanted and I think Jin knows that all too well. So I took it as one final loving gesture before they parted ways for good.
Yeah that's the thing, their worldview is different from modern one where you don't pledge to anything and have no conviction to die for. That's their way and they wanted it that way, so i killed him too.
Exactly. My Uncle raised me as a child, loved me so much he wanted to adopt me as his own son, and then I put my duty to the people above honor which then caused my uncle sadness and pain. The last thing I can do to show I do love and honor all he's done, is obey his final request.
I chose the spare at the end. One of the main aspects of Jin's development is how he breaks away from the traditional definition of honor to form his own. I felt killing his uncle/father would go against what he's learned over the course of the story.
Thank you for this playthrough. It's been a while since I played this game and watching another immerse themself in it like you did, reminded me of how amazing this game is. From graphics, to story, to combat makes this game top tier. It was really enjoyable to watch, you did this game justice. Looking forward to more playthroughs.
What an amazing journey this really has been, I truly enjoyed the whole playthrough so much 💙. I'm so excited to see what comes next!! I'm also glad that you enjoyed the game 💯❤️🎮🕹️
I love the dynamic between Jin & Lord Shimura. Very well written and leaves you understanding both perspectives to the point you can’t really go wrong with either decision you make at the end of their duel. The damn music/ost of this game especially at the end there is SOOO good like sheesh I need Yotei’s music to hit just as hard 💯
Khan was tough on hard but having completed all side quests and DLC first, I was well prepared for him. The Uncle was harder. I spared him on first run. This was fun watching along as you played the game. Look forward to the next one.
I’m still working my way through this incredible game, so I will be watching your playthrough vids after I’m finished; so apologies if you get comments on them that are several weeks old. Really enjoyed your RDR2,ones do I expect these will be just as great.
I really enjoyed your journey across Tsushima and i shared every smile and tear you shed along the way. Thank you Sky for this wonderful playthrough! 💖
I spared him too and never replayed the ending. My reason, the title of the game. The Ghost of Tsushima. If it's titled the Honorable Samurai of Tsushima I will kill Shimura to honor his request. Jin fought as the ghost for the people he wants to protect by all means, one of those people is Shimura too. Change my mind but when Jin said he has no honor, he was talking about the kind of honor Shimura likes. JIN'S HONOR IS LOYALTY TO HIS PEOPLE IN TSUSHIMA NOT TO THE SHOGUN.
Perhaps, it’s a little like Norio said, ‘I was a brother first’, while being a monk now. While Jin is the Ghost now, he was and in most ways still is Samurai. Jin, like his father, is allowed to disagree with Shimura, however, Shimura sees him as a son to be taught, rather than a man/an equal, who you can agree to disagree with.
I chose spare, because the whole story of jin is that the samurai way ain't always the right way including having to kill the last member off your family because they did something different
I couldn't do it either. Because my dad fails as a father I have two uncles that are my father figures like Lord Shimura and this game really hit me hard when having to fight him. I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! Also try and visit the hot baths and bamboo strikes to get more health and resolve (as your gonna need it for Iki Island boss).
I’ve beat the game probably 15 times and I choose spare everytime. Can’t bring myself to kill his only family. Even Jin’s voice actor chose that ending so it’s canon imo.
I spared him as well in my playthrough and my thoughts are exactly like Jin's: I'm no honor to the others already, so why should I keep following their rules? I won't kill my family to prove myself to anyone, and I am willing to pay the price of eternal loneliness in exchange of everybody's safety.
Oh, so you think he should gladly step over the line to the dark side, rather than respect and honor his uncles’s final request? Helping his uncle to pass is not an act of ‘proving’ something.
*Sky breaks Khotun's glaive (dope move) forcing him to switch to sword and shield* Me: oh good, now she'll be using the right stance 😜 Awesome playthrough by the way! Glad to see you agonised over that final choice as much as the rest of us, and I think you picked the right path for Jin. He defined his own honour, in the end. Doesn't make it any easier, of course 🥲
You chose the canon ending. Jin was not about to follow his uncle's code to kill him. It's the perfect dichotomy, he has no honor but he loves his uncle enough to not want to kill him. Jin's arc is so well-rounded in this story. Props to the writers. 10/10 game, one of my favs from playstation
Good series of vids. Hope you consider “A Plague Tale” at some point. People throw “underrated” around a lot, but this one is deserving of the title. Have a wonderful day!
Sky, please use your Ghost Stance more in the DLC 🙏!! I think you forget you have it sometimes 😭😭. It would've gotten you out of so many tight spots this episode 💀
There is a Shadow of Colossus and God of War Armor design to add to your Ghost and Sakai armor if you want to get them during your 100% playthrough live stream
Sky Sky Sky, your are fantastic ..... You choose the right choice and spare Jin's uncle Shimoura. Jin's uncle Shimoura has no honor him self as he accepting the orders to kill his nephew without standing by his side, he has no honor to agree to kill on of his family's members. don't mind by the comments saying the best was killing his uncle, that is totally wrong for many reasons, the most important reason is Jin done what he has done just for his people not to gain any rewards, so if he kills his uncle he will destroy the character he built through the war against the khan and he will lost the respect from the other clans that supported him just for him being the Ghost not to be Shimoura's nephew.
The end to another great playthrough! 🥳🎉 Also, i wanted to say, even though i haven't played, that Khan fight looked really challenging. But like always, you greatly improved with each try and conquered. Well done! ❤
You made the right decision. For the samurai (and Lord Shimura) it was always all about traditions and honor, traditions and honor, traditions and honor. And it made them blind and revealed their weakness. It's the reason why the Khan was close to destroy and conquer Tsushima. Tsushima and its people needed the Ghost. And because Jin didn't give a fuck about the "honor" nonsense anymore, he didn't kill his uncle. He didn't want to kill his family for "honor". Even one of Sucker Punches main devs said this. Jin was done with the honor bullshit. It's "family" that is important to him.
That's a bit of a hasty conclusion. Anyone that played the DLC can get to the exact opposite point of view. The Ghost is a legendary tale that is very useful against the Mongols, but extremely dangerous to Tsushima. The amount of chaos it creates is barely acceptable to defeat the enemy. After defeating them, there is absolutely no reason to stay in that character. I don't care what the devs say, I care what Jin says in Iki island about his father, that he was trapped in a character, he was a legend for his men and because of this made a lot of mistakes, created too much chaos and died because of it. Jin says "I hope I won't make the same mistake". Shimura is gonna die either way : by his own hands or by the hands of the shogun for failing his mission. That's why Jin wrote the last words of both clans before the fight, because no matter what happens, if one survives the other is dead. So what you are doing at the end is granting a friend his last wish, or making the same mistake as Jin's father, giving in to the legendary tale for no reason except humiliating your uncle one last time
Man what an excellent story back in 2020 i was waiting and wanting to see Jin deeper into his Ghost phase in the sequel but we got Yotei 300 years after this game. Im gonna miss Lord Sakai
Such an amazing game and a beautiful, albeit heartbreaking story ending (whichever you choose). After I played GoT, I had to watch one of my favorite movies “The Last Samurai.” That movie is also a journey in its own way. The ending always gets me. Thank you for uploading the finale so quickly Sky!!!
I see shimura as too valuable an asset to lose. He’s probably the most experienced officer in fighting mongol forces, and he MIGHT find a way to work around their tactics. Or at the very least know what to expect from them

Finale time! Can't wait to watch. So glad you enjoyed the game
You are a grappling king that jump off the temple was unreal
A Masterpiece of a game 😌
I really enjoyed your journey across Tsushima and i shared every smile and tear you shed along the way.
Thank you Sky for this wonderful playthrough! 💖
Was waiting for this. 😭 W Skyy
This has to be my fav series of the channel. Your reactions , the humour and of course the gameplay😃👍So good
I spared him too and never replayed the ending.
I was waiting for the end and I already know what your choice is. You will enjoy the DLC.
You are amazing Sky 😊❤️
Un excellent gameplay bravo 😊
Remember your training young Skywalker, your stances. Wind and water against Khotun Khan
Khotun Khan: I don’t like wind and water. They’re coarse and rough and irritating, and they get everywhere
I chose spare, because the whole story of jin is that the samurai way ain't always the right way including having to kill the last member off your family because they did something different
It's an amazing awesome Sunday afternoon with the ending of GOT
today and I hope you have a wonderfully beautiful week thank you
Skyytea.🕊️🎶🎶🕊️
3:30 norio praying in peace
jin; oh yeaaahahhh
kool-aid anyone?
I couldn't do it either. Because my dad fails as a father I have two uncles that are my father figures like Lord Shimura and this game really hit me hard when having to fight him.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! Also try and visit the hot baths and bamboo strikes to get more health and resolve (as your gonna need it for Iki Island boss).
Aghhhh that ending was POWERFUL! That song, both cutscenes, still gives me chills!
Can't wait for Iki Island. Thanks for keeping this funny and interesting Skyy.❤🎉
20:45 Now he knows how you feel during Skytober 😂
The music is so good
Can’t believe we’re already at the end
Congrats to finishing one of the best story games in History
This game is masterpiece
*Sky breaks Khotun's glaive (dope move) forcing him to switch to sword and shield*
Me: oh good, now she'll be using the right stance 😜
Awesome playthrough by the way! Glad to see you agonised over that final choice as much as the rest of us, and I think you picked the right path for Jin. He defined his own honour, in the end. Doesn't make it any easier, of course 🥲
It's one thing to lose a loved one,but it's worse when the said loved one betray /disbelieve you.😢
You made the right choice for the finale. Good job, you did great for playing on hard difficulty 👏🏼
They’re tiny little samurai icons on your map
1:09:13 incase you didn't noticed those figures on the table are PlayStation games references.
44:56 what a shot.
mannn i didnt realize there was a headband there 2:53
There is a Shadow of Colossus and God of War Armor design to add to your Ghost and Sakai armor if you want to get them during your 100% playthrough live stream
"I feel like I was just sucker punched."
Sky with the unintentional pun regarding the devs 😅
Sky Sky Sky, your are fantastic .....
You choose the right choice and spare Jin's uncle Shimoura.
Jin's uncle Shimoura has no honor him self as he accepting the orders to kill his nephew without standing by his side, he has no honor to agree to kill on of his family's members.
don't mind by the comments saying the best was killing his uncle, that is totally wrong for many reasons,
the most important reason is Jin done what he has done just for his people not to gain any rewards, so if he kills his uncle he will destroy the character he built through the war against the khan and he will lost the respect from the other clans that supported him just for him being the Ghost not to be Shimoura's nephew.

14:20 I saw donald trump for a second😂
Loved the playthrough Sky, can’t wait to see what you have planned next, after the dlc, of course
I thought we wont get it because we did not hit the like goal😭. Thank you sky
beautiful game.
So what you are doing at the end is granting a friend his last wish, or making the same mistake as Jin's father, giving in to the legendary tale for no reason except humiliating your uncle one last time
Thank you for this amazing playthrough Sky
Man what an excellent story back in 2020 i was waiting and wanting to see Jin deeper into his Ghost phase in the sequel but we got Yotei 300 years after this game. Im gonna miss Lord Sakai
In my restless dreams….. I see that town
Or at the very least know what to expect from them
WOW! What a journey… congrats on 130k🎉🎉
