You recognized the contrast with Cap telling Tony that he's not the one to make the sacrifice play. But do you remember what Tony said in reply? He said there was nothing special about Cap that didn't come out of a bottle. And yet, when the time came, Cap was worthy to wield Mjolnir.
So both of their lines then were perfectly complemented in the finale.

      @@ragasayad5103 @spensergrady4575 You're both wrong.
There's a difference between doing something dangerous that could be life threatening, and doing something that you know means 100% certain death. The stones nearly killed Thanos, and we all know how strong he was (Bruce don't count because he's pretty much part Gamma Radiation already, and even then, Iron man had to step in). So it was pretty obvious that Tony knew he was gonna kick the iron bucket but also that he knew this was the only way to save the planet. So that WAS the only TRUE sacrifice play.
Also, Cap was doing things that were typical Captain America. So, although they were incredible and incredibly heroic, none of it was truly out of character. Wielding Thor's Hammer and even bringdown the lightning, was the only thing that was totally out-of-character. So it WAS the only thing SPECIAL that didn't come out of a bottle.

Followed by more stunned silence after Thanos STILL curb-stomped him, lol. A lot of non-comic-readers didn't realize that he was considered the most powerful non-divine being in the Universe LONG before he obtained any Infinity Gems, and thus thought that Cap with Mjlnir would be enough to beat him.
Same for when Avengers, Assemble occured: everyone cheered, then went back to stunned silence as he fought through them to the verge of beating them all again. I love the range of emotions Thanos causes in people new to the franchise/ lore. It's so intense and epic. Marvel did fantastic in how they patiently built up to Thanos over a decade with quality films. I don't like all of the changes from the source material they made (like how severely they nerfed Thanos and didn't show any of his mystical powers), but imo, from Iron Man 1 to Endgame, they created one of the best adaptations to film from another medium that has ever been achieved. Basically the polar opposite of Eragon. Comparable to the first several Game of Thrones seasons to the books. They built it up masterfully. Wish I could relive it all over again, with the knowledge of what happens removed from my memories, just to re-experience it all.

I never got why he all of a sudden was a legend. Acting was OK. But his own movie was boring and to me very forgettable. Yet it was hailed as the biggest movie only because it was the first all black character comic book movie. Boseman to me was like a footballplayer who is actually a good player but never takes the team by the hand. Definetely the weakest Avenger cause there is absolutely nothing interesting about this portrayal.

@@PR-on7qkWeakest avenger? I’m taking him over hawk and black widow in the MCU but then again I don’t really care for power scaling and don’t think people care about strength either. Look at Wanda as an example after the last movie. Regardless he’s hailed for multiple reasons. 1. His acting was good and his standalone movie was amazing and the critic and audience reviews reflect that. The forgettable movie aspect is completely dependent on the persons opinions. For me personally as I grew up, the newer characters standalone movies tend to be forgettable in general as the MCU has built such a big universe that standalone character stories don’t hit the same as they used to after the countless avengers movies. That’s something that black panthers actor or the movie have no control over. Good examples of this are ant man, captain marvel, even the MCU spider man movies(other than the most recent), etc. Then there’s the case that as soon as we got a black panther the actor passed away before we could fully see his story fleshed out played by him. Overall Chadwick Boseman played a character many fell in love with due to the movie being good and his acting being very charming to many. The soundtrack for black panther is also one of the better MCU soundtracks and has songs that went mainstream apart from the movie. He also played a tough role in a time where the fight on police brutality caused major tension in the country. He was championed in that sense. Seen as a beacon of hope to young african american kids, similar to Obama in the sense of showing African American kids they can triumph. To me it sounds like you have the typical syndrome of being tired of wokeness and all it stands for which causes you to be extra critical on the actor as a way of downplaying social movements in your head and calling it all bullshit. You’re statements are your beliefs and you can hold them. Go ahead and keep voicing your frustrations that mostly just you and some incels have into the void while the rest of the world continues to praise his role and acting 👍.

You definitely missed out on this as a theater experience tho. It was once in a lifetime. I'll brag about it to small children when I'm an elderly man, because I just don't know how it can be topped as a theater experience. The cheers when Mjolnir comes back to Cap and when the portals open up and everyone comes back and then the epic battle that ensues. Then the outright sobbing of grown men and women mixed with children and teens combined when Tony dies. The sobbing basically just kept going all the way up til we see that Cap and Peggy finally got that dance they missed out on since his first movie. Just outright cinematic perfection. The Infinity Saga deserves it's place at the peak of movie greatness. Great reaction Stef! Keep going! Just keep your expectations realistic. I know you probably don't know why, but it was a real nod to the fans that they cast James D'Arcy as Jarvis. He had previously played Jarvis in the Agent Carter television show on ABC. That show, along with agents of shield, seem to not be acknowledged as Canon to the MCU, so being willing to have him reprise that role was really cool.

"I keep telling people to move on. some do, but not us".
    Cap's words inform so much.
Our heroes are given a better purpose and we see them do what they promised................
Avenge The Fallen, Restore The Universe, Whatever It Takes.
Having the original 6 members with Ant-Man, War Machine and 2 of the Guardians in this grand plan felt like the end of Phase 1 with Avengers 1.
Everybody playing their part, recalling the chemistry of the team, unexpected moments, remembering what we love about the MCU in the first place.
From Time Travel to The Battle of Earth outside of Avengers Headquarters and Cap finally saying the battle cry AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!, this what it's all about.
The endings; sad, good and tying up loose ends (for now) just proves how much was care and for long us as fans stuck around.
Hawkeye becoming Ronin, Loki's disappearance in the year 2012, Black Widow & Iron Man's sacrifice, Cap's final decisions, etc. will have affects on the MCU in the various, forthcoming original series on Disney plus.
Records were so broken before and after it's release.
The biggest honors of all:The highest-grossing superhero film ever and no.1 film of all time for nearly 2 years surpassing Avatar (2009).
Also winning 36 consecutive awards by 2020.
Everything we've known since 2008 gave us promise and perfection in the genre.
Some have doubted that future sequels could never compare to the epicness that is Endgame.
When the Avengers' return to the screen, we can only hope that reassembling will be just as epic.
RIP to Chadwick Boseman in his final appearance as Black Panther/T'Challa and William Hurt in one of his final appearances as Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross.

Wanda would've killed Thanos by herself, which Thanos immediately knew and why he called down the bombardment. Maybe the only other person capable of beating Thanos by themselves might've been Captain Marvel, but Wanda for sure would've done it.
Also, Dr. Strange had to play a role the entire time ever since he saw the one timeline where they win out of the 14 million he saw. If he didn't do and say everything he saw himself do and say exactly as he saw it, the victory wouldn't have happened. So, he couldn't say anything to anyone, otherwise it wouldn't have happened.

      @bullworthless 3 місяці тому +4

That's the only flaw about this movie in my honest opinion. Characters got nerfed just so we could have more of an epic battle, but in reality Wanda, Thor, and Captain Marvel are basically taking out both Thanos and his army by themselves, let alone the hundreds of Wakandans, Iron Man, Dr Strange, etc. But we gotta have a close fight, can't let Tony's death be for nothing if all they need to do is let Wanda cook.

    • @HossLUK
      @HossLUK 3 місяці тому +4

@@bullworthless yea, i agree, to an extent.
With Thor it actually made sense because of all the loss he's had and the failure he's been a part of just because he wanted to prove he's the strongest. Not immediately killing Thanos just so he'd get the satisfaction of telling Thanos he meant what he said when he killed his brother, allowing Thanos time to snap, making it Thor's ultimate failure in his own head, and he has to live with that anyway. So, Thor falling off the deep end after that (or really after finally killing Thanos and realizing there's no reversing what he did) does make a good story and is good character development.
With Wanda, she wasn't nerfed, she was just done dirty by Thanos with the bombardment. She still didn't have any real understanding of her own powers, so it made sense why she didn't just warp reality in any way to ensure Thanos would die.
For Captain Marvel that wasn't really a nerf, she just got outsmarted by Thanos using the power stone.
Hulk, on the other hand, is by far the biggest and most diabolical nerf I've ever seen. They absolutely shredded his entire character during Infinity War. I mean nothing about Hulk not wanting to come out because he was embarrassed that he got beat by Thanos made any kind of sense. Then Bruce fusing himself and the Hulk into Professor Hulk instead of actually fixing the ridiculousness of Hulk's embarrassment and their "relationship" with each other just put Hulk 6 feet under.
Yea, that part makes me genuinely disappointed.
But the other "sort of nerfs" did at least actually line up with their characters and their stories, so that was just decent to good writing. Hulk was just destroyed for no reason.

    • @bullworthless
      @bullworthless 3 місяці тому +1

@@HossLUK Wanda and Carol did get nerfed. The "bombardment" Wanda took was one singular shot that sent her flying in the air, and it didn't even touch her, and then she was never seen again. Didn't even come back after Carol destroyed the ship. Carol took a bump from the power stone and suddenly she's useless for the rest of the fight.
Nobody is worried about Thor's mental, he killed Thanos without hesitating in the first 10 minutes of the movie, he definitely wasn't hesitating after that. Thor almost killed Thanos with all the stones in Infinity War, but he gets packed up and combo'd in End Game by a stoneless Thanos and had to be saved by Cap. The movie literally spelled it out for you lol.
They all objectively got nerfed in that scene so Thanos looked strong. Also I didn't specify that all 3 of them needed to focus on Thanos, any 3 of them couldve taken out his army while everyone else jumped Thanos.
I know I'm nitpicking, but you don't *have* to find a reason to justify why these characters didn't do what they were supposed to. We know exactly why the movie is the way it is. If everyone packed up Thanos like it was nothing, it wouldn't be a good movie.

Out of all of them, Wandavision and Loki™ are the best shows. Hands down. Both are worth it.
From the creative choices, to the real-world inspirations and the emotional depth towards the end, both of those shows are AMAZING. Definitely worth your time.
In Loki, season 1 AND 2, they pay major homage to the actual Norse Loki and it's just beautiful. They tie a lot of that into marvel Loki's psyche and elevate marvel Loki to an adjacent status like Norse Loki. Representative of many things.
In Wandavision, they explore the devastation of grief and all the things a person does to either deal with it or avoid it. It's well-written. And a tear jerker. But only towards the end. The beginning and the middle is all about the whimsy and mystery.
And I will say, Agatha All Along has been fun. Not anything like a masterpiece in writing by any means, but it's genuine fun and I love the attention to detail.❤ Probably not worth the time if you're avoiding a campy, October season feel.

It's really hard to put into words how much this saga touched society ... we were all there for it and the story remained steady and constant - everything was working towards this "final" goal. We hadn't really gotten anything like that in decades - perhaps when Return of the Jedi hit theatres when I was a kid ... but there wasn't the connective network of social media to tie us all together for that back then. This struck harder than Star Wars ... I don't think we felt this strongly when the Harry Potter series ended... nor did we feel this much when the Lord of the Rings trilogy ended. This was something special... and it set the bar SO HIGH for everything else.

Well, Stef, you had the best MCU reaction video I've ever seen for Infinity War, and you've done it again for Endgame !
Don't ever apologize whenever you express your emotions during your videos, because that's a big reason viewers choose your channel.
There's reactors who try to entertain their viewers, but that's not what people want. They just want to share your movie experience with you, and maybe get a different perspective on the movie.
You did a wonderful job sharing your affection for the Marvel universe, and the laughs, tears and entertainment it's given us.
    Just stay genuine Stef,
you're really good at this !

You did an excellent job. I hope that, some day, you get to see this on a big screen; for the final battle if nothing else.
I've lost track of how many times I've seen this movie and I still tear up at the end.

It was such a perfect ending and an impressive achievement to bring all of these movies together in such a creative and intelligent way that I think you can understand why I wasn't able to keep the same level of interest after Endgame. It's unfortunate, but I don't see how this entire story can be topped.

Yeah after this point I started to pick and choose a bit more rather than just watching every single MCU production (I’ve eventually watched all the movies, though some I waited for home release rather than seeing them in theaters.), but definitely need to see the Spiderman movies that continue after this if nothing else.

@@Scyth0r i agree, and some have endgame blinders on where they dont realize there were highs and lows pre endgame too.
I do consider some of the next phase movies "missteps" but i at least see, and appreciate what they were trying to do. Similar to the actual comics with different styles/tones and audiences.
Everyone was complaining at this point of cookie cutter mcu style, so they "tried" a more epic style with things like eternals, or "kids" with thor LT, Mrs marvel, and let's have fun with it wandavision. While still doing the usual with everything from shangchi to spiderman etc....
The hate is overblown "online" like everything. At least in my circles and personal experiences.

What I love is how many Easter eggs for die hard comic book fans were included, like how they made an effort, whether with AI or make up or both, to approximate Stan's appearance to what he looked like in Marvel Comics' in-house pictures back in the seventies.
