The fact that Trump has not attacked Judge Cannon like he has been doing with other judges demonstrates he knows she is working on his behalf.

she appears to be very inept and a bit thick to be honest, positioned way above her abilities and hence quite incapable of dreaming up the sophisticated delay ploys that she is presenting. to me it has been long apparent that she has been getting outside advice. but if she thinks doing favours for trump will be to her long term advantage she should take note of the not pretty fate of the likes of Giuliani, Eastman, Powell and Pillow Guy for example.

The entire extreme Right wing legal fraternity guided by Mr. Leo and co is working tirelessly to come up with ways of frustrating the courts and legal system from acting against Trump and his utterly corrupt Judges in both the lower courts and the Highest Court of the land are being rewarded for their roles in the process. The Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC), not the appellate courts, is the designated body responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct or incapacity among judges within the state. She could also be Disbarred.

How is this possible?!?! How can Federal judge unilaterally and blatantly ignore the law and simply exonerate a defendant without any possible of appeal from the prosecutor?! Even more so, in a case where the defense isn't even contesting facts of the case?! Why should it even be necessary for Smith to file an appeal. The 11th circuit court is not blind deaf and dumb. They are reading the headlines in the news. Is it actually not legally possible for them to simply step in and say "enough is enough?" And the conversation is simply "Can Judge Canon be removed from this case?" not, "Is judge Canon going to be impeached and disbarred for this?" Have we never actually had a judicial system, or has it suddenly failed in the face of brazen hubris?!

No judge wants her ruling overturned and you would think that after what happened the first time she was referred to the 11th Circuit, she would get some education. SCOTUS are supposed to do that but they won't this time; they will at best delay any judgement on the Presidential Act until next year and at worst "acknowledge" an ambiguity that needs clarifying hence saying that Trump was allowed to do what he did; it wasn't breaking the law i.e. his interpretation was unusual but not illegal.

I've been talking about this since this case started and more so since it became obvious that he was going to be the Republican candidate.. You're absolutely right. if Trump is re-elected, the US International security networks will close down overnight. Why would any sane person in the FiveEyes (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, contribute any reports to the US knowing that the US President can immediately send that data (along with a hefty invoice to Vladimir Putin, Xi Xinping, or Mohammed bin Salman? and that's just one of the many allied intelligence sharing systems that will be forced to consider themselves irretrievably compromised. Those networks, built up over 75 yrs since WW2, will cease to operate. Of course, the US contributes the lion's share of the intelligence, but they will still be just that small amount less informed. Home grown US intelligence personnel will (if they are smart) immediately go dark as well.
Cannon knows exactly what she's doing to delay this for years and is playing it out. Cannon and SCOTUS will continue to set new lows.

And then finding him “guilty” and then charging a “fine” so much higher than anything we’ve ever seen. Can Cannon be sanctioned by the Florida Bar for asking ... REQUIRING ... federal prosecutors to misapply the law ... for not ruling, for not abiding by court procedures ... for manipulating the law in favor of the defendant to the point of negating laws on the books and creating law in contradiction of established law?

@@slay2525 My oldest daughter is a lawyer, but I have no education or experience in the law. I do not know what approach should be taken to change current procedures. I just know that there are judges with an insurmountable amount of power based on their position, and they do not deserve it.

I propose the following for ALL levels of appointments. You must meet the criteria of experience based on your prerequisite positions. Then your name goes into the "bingo" barrel to be selected WITHOUT political consideration or approval.
Smith has done the right thing in demanding that Cannon rule or get off the pot. If she doesn't rule, or if she rules stupidly, he's saying he will seek her recusal. All well and good. But if her superiors let her get away with this...

Our nation's enemies realized in the 60's that dividing us was the way to go (we've been too strong to take head-on, historically). Trump's time in Moscow, with pageants, etc , gave the opening for speeding up the plans....
We’ve been rotting since the Powell memo in the 70’s created a blueprint for the rich and corporations to take control of the government, after their 1st failed attempt of an overt coup against FDR b/c of his New Deal. The Powell memo outlined a much more covert, slow process, but it is working nonetheless.
They even mention FDR’s new deal directly in the Powell memo, and in no uncertain terms make it clear the grudge they still held decades after the attempted coup.
Edit: for some inexplicable reason, FDR did not press charges against those involved in insurrection. JP Morgan Jr was involved, and others like him.

they had never made it to the archives. t=rump took them while he was still in office. how the highly classified documents were left in the white house unsecured is another question. shows how corrupt t=rump really is. does not give a crap about natl security or human sources endangered by these leaks.

What difference would that make? The only way that she can be removed from the bench is via impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction by the Senate. If he did not create them, they are not personal. And it doesn't matter, even if they were personal, they are classified and he cannot possess them.
