We’ll see....have my latitude down on VA , where we always used to take our first gen Durango up the beach to fish . It was a beast in the sand, bone stock . No stopping it.
We tried the renegade last year briefly but got psyched out and turned back quick. Gonna go buy the permit and try again !

a few years back i drove my trailhawk on the beach in some really soft sand, had it in sand mode and around 25psi but i was running at around 3k rpm, is that normal? im going to the beach again soon and want to make sure its gonna run good

It's just like how sand and mud modes work. Try to use 4wd lock btn without any mode selection. And don't forget to disable ESP.

In sand you have too keep your momentum so in sand mode it runs higher rpm and shift points, in snow mode you'll notice the gas pedal isn't as touchy

@@Brandon-to9vp And the steering feels a bit more stiff in snow mode as well to help smooth out sudden jerky turning. Definitely helped with the snow storm that came through here and froze everything up last year. Definitely wanna try the other modes too someday to see how they work. Too bad I don't have much in the way of sand, heh.
