I just realised that John went around Indianapolis wearing a shirt with his face on it. That has got to have looked weird to non-nerdfighters.

I can't even describe how much I love the fact that you went to vote with that moustache while wearing a hoodie with a picture of yourself with that moustache. Please go vote Americans, especially young Americans. I'm Scottish and it's truly upsetting how many votes I've seen over the past couple of years that have gone the way they did because all the old people voted and not enough young people did.

I just can't get over the fact that John walked into a place with a moustache while wearing at least two portraits of his face with a moustache, and that place was making pajama bottoms with a print that was his face with a moustache.
I don't know why but this video felt a little like old school vlogbrothers. I really liked it!
My guess is a quicker editing time... He wanted to upload it in time for him to be able to tell people to vote, and them still have time to do that.
But he couldn't go vote before today, so at least that part of the video was filmed today... which means he edited it quickly.
Yeah I think you guys both have a point. It was a silly video with quick edits covering mulitple things, and an unabashed use of inside jokes. While also mentioning an important topic The perfect vlogbrothers formula.

Despite the fear that I have had since waking up today I am very much comforted by nerdfighteria and all the good things that come from this, including project for awesome which is around the corner. Good people still exist and have the power to do amazing things while working together. Thank you john and hank for being a rallying point for all the awesome.

Please, John, talk to us about how not to be utterly terrified about the results of this election. So many of us are afraid that terrible things will happen to us and those we love. So many people are suicidal over these results. We need your calm, encouraging words.
Allow me: U.S. presidents don't actually have the power to do any of the "terrible things" that are feared from Trump. Not worth suicide. Life goes on. And I love you.

People talk about making election day a holiday or, y'know, moving it to Sunday so fewer people are at work, but what I would really like to see is (a) postal voting everywhere, and (b) automatic voter registration.

Nah man I'm from Michigan. The ballot is like 2 feet long and filled with representatives and school board members and sheriffs and it was both sides.

You can preview your local ballot online so you know what's up. Since this was my first time, I did a lot of research for the local and state stuff.
I was pleasantly surprised when I went to vote in Nevada for the first time and was not asked to produce a photo ID. I had brought my passport with me just in case, but it's a seemingly obvious thing that not a lot of people have. Sometimes you don't want to drive and don't have the means to travel--ergo, no ID.
The shirts are just so good this year!! it's going to be really hard just picking one.

After moving across the country this summer for college, I really had no idea how I was going to vote, or if I even could. This was my first election I could participate in (age), and I was overwhelmed by the whole process, and didn't know who to ask. If it wasn't for your videos a month ago, I never would have registered to become a Vote by Mail voter, and I never would have voted. Thank you for providing me and so many others with such a comprehensive and easy source to figure out how to vote! :)

I registered to vote on my 18th birthday and although this is technically the second time i voted (because local primaries) i was so excited and proud to be able to vote. Now i am nervous, and all we can do is wait. (unless you haven't voted yet and you can in which case go vote! it's fun.)

I believe in you! Read through your ballot to make sure you don't forget anything. You get an awesome sticker at the end, and depending on your polling place the volunteers may even give you a cheer for being a first time voter. My old polling place always had fun volunteers who got excited for first time voters coming through. It's a big step, but you can do it!
