Major thing missing in so many devices and reviews don't talk about is battery management. Limiting the charge to 60 or 80% is a huuuuuuge + for any device lifespan

HONOR never comes to Japan. That's sad. But HUAWEI very recently has released Matebook 14 here. That looks very nice too, If you have a chance to review that, I'd really appreciate it.

Nice video and subscribed. May I know how you enable turbo boost to 4.2Ghz? Ok the turbo boost is enable, checked using HWmonitor and the R7 4800H performance is just slight better. It's Geekbench 5, single core score is 1168 and multi-core score is 6680. Can't achieve 8450.
I heard AMD CPU's work well with DaVinci Resolve for video editing. Maybe do a test or comparison?

@@jackscandrett123 it's fantastic, it's better than what I expected. Its handling all my tasks with ease. The battery life is amazing ... Only downside I found was the 1 USB c port.... But the problem wasn't really the 1 USB c port .... It was the fact I transferred close to 190gb from my phone with the laptop on 45% 😩😂. Since it was also the charging port connected to my phone 🤦🏿♂️.. but it did it with 18% battery left after I turned the screen down n performance down. Fantastic laptop recommend anyone to get it .
What is the speed of the Type-C port? Is it a Gen 1 5 Gbps or Gen 2 10 Gbps port?
Is the BIOS on it locked down like on the Xiaomi laptops or are there advanced settings you can change?
Freesync? Or any chance to get it running by doing custom Freesync enabled resolutions in Custom Resoliution Utility / CRU? Integrated GPU with sub 60 fps and 60hz display is a really good use case for adaptive sync

I think I'll go with the Matebook 14 because of 3:2 screen but the speakers are better in Magicbook Pro. They use the same CPU and GPU. I am so confused

Yes and dual channel but it's 2666Mhz and not 3200Mhz I think it was done to save battery life.

Yes they are something and this is mid range mobile Ryzen 5. I have a laptop with the Ryzen 7 4800H and it outclasses my 8700K @ 5Ghz 😵

Over the Xiaomi Redmibook yes.
No one has mentioned, that it works perfectly using just one USB c cable and docking station. Just one cable for charging and video outpoot.

just got my honor magicbook pro and i absolutely love it but and you cant really hear the fans while gaming but i was playing minecraft (don't judge me) the fans only reached maximum speed for only a couple of seconds but i dont know whey because when the fan speeds up it hold the speed and doesn't speed up from there so idk what happened with the fans
Is there any backlight bleed on your model?
i just got one and the bottom part has like 4 led source so at maximum brightness, against a pure colored background yes there are 4 noticeable backlight bleeds. however barely noticeable the moment i stop looking at them. i am a easily bothered person but these are very mild defrcts which did not bother me at all, because i really enjoyed the wonderful overall screen quality found in none of its competitors in the same price range

Does the USB type-c support an displayport 1.4 adapter? So that I can run my 1440p monitor at 165hz
I'm getting 4k60hz out of it yes. 165hz 1440p not sure can't test that.
