What often gets lost in debates about drugs, is that the societal negative consequences of drug related crimes, tend to much bigger than of the drugs themselves.
That's why they should be legal id rather sue someone who stole my oz of weed rather than blick up the whole block you just have to enforce already existing laws which is the issue like dedicating in public parks
Very good video, well done! And I just wanted to say that I agree with your conclusion - we really should have the now taboo-question raised, about why we have this in many cases arbitrary division of different drugs into licit and illicit drugs...and not least - at to what costs? To invest more in the spread and 'schooling' in actually scientifically accurate information of the different drugs (and how they work, possible side-effects and so on-that is, the precise opposite of how it is now, sadly) - and legalization, which would pretty much incapacitate most of the organized crime-syndicates is what I feel is the only viable way forward.
The problem is corruption at all levels. There is no reward anymore for been vertuous, honest.... so people do nothing at best or are corrupted (they are also threaten and since the police will do nothing to protect them and their families, the corruption expand).
The native people of Holland are producers and traders of mdma, amphetamine and weed . This is for 99% without violence or danger for the civilians. Based on trusted partners and everything done locally. Those drugs are also for the majority used in the party scene. These are 4th generation legal immigrants. They are from Morroco, Africa. The Netherlands is far away in a corner of Europe. Try to come here on a dingy and you get killed by a container ship. One of the busiest ship routes of the world from the Netherlands to the Suezcanal.
Late 80s early 90s. I live in Zurich. It stabilized after 2 years and everything went back to normality. The problem with the legalization was the influx of users from other countries looking for safe haven there. If it was legalized in the neighbour countries there wouldn't be any problem there. Today the rules are still the same in Switzerland and you can get heroin and other drugs from the government for free. And drug violence in Switzerland is negligible if you compare to the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Even though as you can see, we have 4 cities in the top 10 cocaine users. Combating drug trade the way it has been done last 50 years is like trying to dry a street during a rain with a mop. It is cost of business for the dealers when someone gets busted or containers intercepted.

Yeah they are different drugs but cheap drugs will be consumed more than expensive drugs. They still do cocaine but not so frequently as they used too@Taeriqify
Indeed this would not happen if governments were freedom oriented, and see drug usage as self-responsibility. The authoritarian drug laws are fueling the violence. And yes, many drugs are dangerous. Some are even more dangeorus than alcohol. But the dangers are typically restricted to the user. They don't harm anyone else. If someone is addicted, offer them therapy. That costs less than the war on drugs, which governments will always lose.
0:01 bro wtf you talkin about this part of the clip has nothing to do with drugs this was a shootout in (ROTTERDAM DELFSHAVEN) between local drill groups smh🤦🏽♂️😂😭
What can be done? Have governments and populations wake to reality, decriminalise drugs, treat actual addiction issues as socio medical problems and if violent crimes for example are committed under the influence make that an aggravating factor attracting harsher punishment.People clearly like drugs, most users aren't hopeless addicts, prohibition has never worked, ever.Aslo ask yourself the question, what right do governments and employers have to tell you what you can put into your own body?
Everybody who lives here. I was even crazier in the 80s and 90s. The violence got crazier though. They used to be smarter in the old days. The most famous one is Willem Holleeder in the Netherlands. He kidnapped Freddy Heineken of the beer brand.
Marijuana is not that addictive and also has medical benefits if used in the right way. But Hard drugs like cocaine and heroin are much more additive and deadly and legalising them would deprive the mafia of money, but would also make addiction rates increase due to drugs that will become cheaper and easier to get. Especially cheaper. The legal status will also give young impressionable people the false idea that it must be relatively safe because it's legal, so why not try it out.
