Ordered the exact same. All black 580 with the stand. Can’t wait. I’m not into bodybuilding or powerlifting. Just a 47yr old enroute to getting fit, gain lean mass, drop body fat and just be healthy. 6 months ago I was 265lbs, now down to 210lbs. Feeling great!
Hey I got a question about whether or not I should be concerned clean and jerking or snatching these dumbbells or any of the handle rotating adjustables. Could the rotation required by the moment actuate the handles?
They are not able to move in or out of place outside of the rack itself. The rack allows the adjustments to be made. If you’re only doing hang snatches or hang cleans I think you’ll be fine. But I would not want to be doing a lot of reps coming from the ground. Might get banged up that way.

I bought the standard 580 Nuobells with the silver handles, and I think the reason the knurling on your matte black ones feels a little "smooth" is because it's the same handle as mine, but filled in a little with paint. I know a lot of painted/e - coated barbells have the same issue. I agree with you about the cost, too. A rack of a comparable range of fixed dumbbells would cost about double the amount of the Nuobells, and take up way more than twice the space.
Good video mate! I trained and ran a gym for 22 years. Due to personal circumstances I quit, can't say I really missed it as I took up cycling again, which gives me a massive fix! But I'm 53 now and feel the need for some proper strength training, and the weights are calling! I've done bodybuilding, power and Olympic lifting, so I'm used to good kit! Do you think these bells are going to last, there's quite a bit of plastic on them which worries me? I'm not going to be smashing it like I used to a few years back, but I need something that's going to last!
I really think they will. Quality is way better than the powerblocks and those things I’ve seen last a while too. I think as long as you aren’t throwing them on the ground they will do well. You can always go the rubber coated route. But you’ll be spending more than double to money to get a set of equal weight. And I’ve thrown many of those away in the past few years because the heads come off!

I'm shocked how expensive gym shit has gone, years back you couldn't give old cast dumbbells away! Have you looked at any of the offerings from Amazon and Ali express, as I'm guessing all these dumbbells are made in China, even the Nuo's?
@@mokotramp I tried my best to find an alternate solution. But you have to get them from their website. For the best price anyway. They are made in Sweden actually. I really do think these are the best adjustable option.
I use them at least 3-4 times a week. No issues so far. I treat them with respect and have never had a need to drop them. I’ve packed them up many times and driven across country with them.
Sure, they look nice like you said. But that plastic and nylon makes them a ticking time bomb. I had one accidentally roll off with 20lbs from a 18 ft stationary bench and handle broke. They charged $225 for a 1 lb replacement handle because it was a few months over the 2 year warranty. Total rip off.

I feel like they will last a good while. Especially with a little care. Solid investment.

That’s pretty hefty charge for a fixed handle. An 18ft fall is pretty legit as well though.
