    Great review! Subscribed! To clear up any confusion, this unit (DD06-V2) has a functioning load capacity of 1000lbs (250 per pin) and a storage capacity of 600 lbs (according to their website). I’m seriously considering this unit, unless someone has a better recommendation within this price range ($700 - $1000).

    The space between the crown and the handle only matters when you're flipping the ball over on the snatch. I see you doing that. The proper way is to "slide" it across like you're doing in the clean and rack. When you slide, the sport kettlebell is just as comfortable to use.

    So, there is a hack to get the lat pulldown overhead. Check out SYL fitness. They make an arm that you bolt to the top of your rack that has pulleys to specifically bring the pull point overhead for lat pulldowns. Buy a cable, attach it to your trolley, and run it through the arm. Boom. Problem solved.

    I started swings in September, starting out with the 12 kg (I'm female). I do notice my hamstrings have gotten bigger and stronger. But I have also been doing romanian deadlifts the last couple of weeks. Not sure what had the bigger impact. I'm in the middle of the 10,000 swings challenge. When I'm done I will continue doing swings, but less reps obviously, and I'll switch to the 16 kg.

      @@RJ3CVOST they all say that. But I’ve never had this happen. Granted my garage is about 20-30 feet away and in a paved flat driveway. Easy job. Only one instance did a driver stick to the fine print but he said he could roll it to the garage for $20. I tip the drivers anyway so I had planned for this already. He wasn’t a jerk about it. He just explained that once the package comes onto my property the liability changes significantly. He said he could do whatever I liked to do. Every freight company called me a couple days before to schedule a delivery window. And drivers called me day of to confirm and give a tighter timeline. Never had an issue with the delivery aspect. And I’ve ordered literally TONS of equipment haha. Deliveries were always exactly like my orders to my commercial gym because it’s all freight.

    Just want give a brief review/warning about Vulcan strength. I ordered(paid at order) for a Talos rack/ functional trainer from Vulcan n mid July. Said ship date end September. Then end October. Then a week. Then it’s here at store should b shipped soon. Then ghosted me for about 3 weeks and finally said today should ship on Monday the 9th dec. nothing. Finally Thursday told them I wanted tracking number by end week or cancel. They canceled it. How it went from should ship today to can’t even get out by end week when been in store for weeks is beyond me. They also have no phone number that works and for every 5-6 emails I write asking for update they may respond with bullshit answer. I didn’t write that many until they missed their 2nd deadline with no update. Terrible logistics and customer service/communication. IMO one of the worst companies I have ever had deal with. I got a 20kg kettlebell kings comatition bell in the mail last wensday. It is the perfect weight for my medium stregth @$$. I have been using 2 Walmart 35lb bells and 2 Walmart 50s for a couple of years, and they didn't have anything wrong with them. The competition bell seems to work better for me in the ballistic movements. My hands are on the lage side of a size large. The smaller window is actually a plus for me when establishing a solid hand insertion and switching grips in the snatch. Less slop. That's just my two cents. Yeah, 2-handed swings are awkward, but I have a cupple of cast iron 50s for that.

  • @Chiburi
    @Chiburi Місяць тому

    There's nothing wrong with the handle of the KBK bell. The problem is you're not using a proper hand insertion. I can see it a mile away, @1:32, you are using hard style mechanics and a hard style insertion with only two points of contact with the bell. Comp style kettlebells are evolved for kettlebell sport, which has more finesse to the clean, snatch and jerk. There is no casting of the bell from the top fixation for instance, instead the bell rotates into the drop. The way you do it now, is you have two points of contact; the handle and the bell resting on the forearm. This is no good with a competition style kettlebell, you must change the angle of your grip and have a third point of contact which is your wrist to the base of the handle. The handle can't lay perpendicular across your palm, it's supposed to be diagonal and hang in the web of your thumb. This way the window opens up way more and you'll find you have a lot more room for your wrist and forearm, and the bell will rest very securely in the rack and top fixation. See how the base of the handle flares out? That's to give it more surface area for your forearm, and make it stable and comfortable. Comp style bells are comfortable when you do it right...

      @@troycline386 I looked at the Force USA line briefly. I just wanted a 3x3 upright system. It just seemed more versatile for other products and I feel like I didn’t see a “tall” option with any of their racks. I think the Force USA are mostly 2x2. Which is probably fine for most people. I just prefer the more solid commercial feel.
