Hello everyone! Thanks for supporting and watching our content. We will make an updated version of this video, we need to cover a little bit more about printing vs vinyl cutting, to some people this video made it sound like getting a printer was a bad idea or that vinyl cutters are a better option. We need to clarify that that’s not what we tried to express. Although digital printer’s are a bigger upfront investment, they are better in anyway possible. If you decide to get one, you will save a lot of time & money for each product.
Question, I plan on making car decal stickers but don’t know where to start. Right now doing research before I buy anything. What machine is good for making car decal stickers? Also, my budget is around 300 for a machine. Don’t want to waste my time or money. Any advice would be helpful thanks
Great video. I have experience in the sign / graphics industry but I always enjoy watching your videos. I think it's good to have mentors even when you have experience. I'll be joining shortly. Thanks for all the good info.
Thank you so much for this video. I worried about that but you have enlightened me. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a printer, so I’m going to take into consideration a cutter, it is minimal investment and probably pays for itself quickly. Awesome love your multi color banners and magnets. 😀
I would be jumping in and taking all that extra vinyl. I use as much of it as I can. Waste not want not. But then again I am just starting my business and I’m not established yet. Business is not fully up and running as I am still learning. I am great at creating things on the drawing end. Doing the weeding…ugh! So frustrating sometimes. Lol!
Enjoy the videos and very informative. Any problems with the graphtec? On the fence about that purchase with some negative feedback on a few issues. Really don’t want to go much over the going rate for that particular model and also don’t want to go too cheap with fears of buying a bigger problem!
Hello! We don’t do any laminating, Oracal 651 is for outdoor use and is weather proof. Usually printed vinyl needs to be laminated, we don’t do that process though.
@@RDIdecals thank you for your reply. I was asking because I don’t have a vinyl cutter but I do have a UV flatbed printer in which i direct print a lot of signs on coroplast and aluminum. I haven’t had an issue with the weather fading the prints but I’d like to ensure they last a long time.
When weeding you pulled the vinyl off pretty fast, but sometimes if I try that the letters will come off with the vinyl needing removed so I go slower and ready to hold a letter with a ball tip poker so it doesn't get lost in the mess. Is there something specific causing this or do you not have this issue?
Hello! Sometimes we come across this issue. The first thing I would do recalibrate blade and cut force, if you have it at high speed, maybe slow it a bit. Maybe type of vinyl plays a role. Hope you fixed this issue, sorry for delayed response.
@@ClownfishDepot it works pretty good I like it I’ve been using it almost a year ink last quite a while prints beat on Matt vinyl but it’ll also print on canvas and magnets and stuff only real downside is getting the print out far enough to trim it by hand it’s not hard but you have to go slow or you will mess up the gears on the roller only real problem I’ve had with it is being able to update hps print preview but it’s not needed really just makes life easier when your able to use there print preview
@Shawns Derby den Thanks for the information. I appreciate your time. I didn't know it printed on vinyl. I'm ideally looking to print on vinyl for items for my fish breeding business. I am going to have to do some more research on this printer. Thank you and Happy New Year. 😊
When I apply application tape, I do the opposite. I put the application tape underneath (sticky side up), fix it with 4 pieces of tape on the sides, and then apply the vinyl by unrolling it over. Very fast and only 1 person can do it.
thank you so much for your videos! I have a question, I've seen other people use some sort of printable vinyl i guess it is, where it has the whole design like images and all on vinyl and all they do is just peel off the back of it and stick it to the sign and that's all. What are your thoughts on that material? I hope you know which im referring to i dont really know the name of it i think its printable adhesive vinyl, looks like a sticker of the image and they just peel off and stick. Supposed to be water and weather resistant, just want to start my own business and trying to find out whats best material and cheapest to use 😅. Muchas Gracias by the way!
Hello! It really depends on size of banner and how much information will be applied. We try to make them at least 2 inches tall. Hope this helps, thank you for watching!
Great vids as always. I would like to see your process after a design is done. Is your cutter communicating with Corel or do you import into another program?
Great videos on your channel. Do you guys have any recommendation on cutting needle brands and angles (45 vs 60)? How long do they tend to last for you? Also it would be great if you guys put a video of what the cuts look like up close when they come out of the cutter. I am using a uscutter and would love to compare
Hello! We have both angles 60 for thicker materials (rhinestone materials) and 45 for most of our vinyl's. The brand we got last time - not the best brand honestly - was clean cut. You can't go wrong with Graphtec blades, you should check out: www.graphtecamericastore.com/
@@gustavomarin6535 We don’t want to get anything cheap, we want to get a good size printer-cutter and for that we will also need to get an office or shop. It is something we want to do in the near future:)

What size is the cutter? Also, which program you running and is it a pc windows 10 that is running the show?

is this the largest image it could print ?
