The 60 degree blade is for very small letters and for material like reflective and some htv vinyls. I install my blades to where you can barely see the blade ...it's always good to do a few test cuts to make sure you're only cutting barley thru the vinyl and marking the paper backing ..not cutting the backing paper
I have had twp vevor vinyl cutters that took a dump with in a month. I found for affordability US Cutter has been great I have a 28in and 48in..I'm also not a fan of the sign software it comes with.
got a brand new, never used except to power it on - USCutter MH-871 34" from a friend. she never used it but was moving and thought I might be able to get some use from it. It grinds and makes weird cuts. Never has worked but it's out of warranty. USCutter customer service gave me something to try - but thought it was most likely a bad MB. (right out of the box). So I'm debating on whether or not to buy a refurbished US Cutter or buy a new Vevor. I have the USCutter stand and also have surecutsalot software - so maybe if I can find one and get a reduced price - minus the stand and the software - I may do that. looking for input. I'm in NE Illinois and there is NO ONE around that works on them to at least tell me what's wrong with it. thanks for letting me vent
What do you mean by taking a dump? I’m on my second one, first one lasted a good year before it started leaving lines in my cuts and second one started doing it almost instantly
Nice Tutorial. Will Signmaster cut inside Adobe Illustrator. I do most of my vector inside Illustrator. also what is the cache storage on the cutter? Thank you sir
Vevor vinyl cutters have a major flaw. I know I have owned two. The pinch rollers dig into the material. Its fine if its a small piece you only use the rollers on the edge of the material but when cutting larger pieces you need the center pinch roller so it tracks. You get what you pay for!!
@@Dude_Slick Might be better then to get a smaller form cutter (much cheaper) as you won't be able to get a mask wider than 18" without possible hatch marks on a cut line which is airbrushing the paint will bleed under. What type of stencil material are you using? I prefer 811 or 813.
@@Dude_Slick I was assuming since you wrote you are using an airbrush that you're using a thinning agent. Hatch marks on a masking agent's surface increases its roughness average and therefor has a direct correlation of the risk of under-bleeding. I guess the easiest way to describe it is like the sealing of a static joint which you take into account the factors that affect the integrity of the seal/ But in painting you want to decrease the likelihood of under-bleeding, such as, but not limited to: Integrity of the seal, Masking agent, Surface profile, Temperature, Barometric pressure, Viscosity of the medium, air pressure, whether using a single or dual action airbrush, etc.. All have a direct correlation on the risk of unwanted capillary action (AKA under-bleeding) when applying paint. I've seen it occur even with viscosity down to 60 cPs and masking agents which were very elastic and burnished prior to spraying. Of course the seal between two surfaces can never be "perfect" and it is impossible to stop all capillary action in a seal. I'm just referring to that which is visible or haptic. As they say in this business; "People but with their eyes!"
I agree with you on Illustrator. I used it for years. upgraded several times. but then had to stick with CS3. had a computer crash and attempted to reinstall and couldn't. contacted Adobe and they said it was no longer supported and said I couldn't use it. So PO'd I just threw my $250+ software with the box and the registration codes in the trash.; But I do have Corel. most recent was 17. Pretty sure I didn't have any issues reinstalling. I used Signtools for my old Panther cutter. now for the questions and a little history. A friend bought a USCutter MH-871 several years ago and never used it. She gave it to me since she was moving and thought I could use it. I was unable to get it to cut properly. It's still sitting here and not working. it won't move side to side............it just grinds away. The tech support guy was very nice and did give me something to try, but though it was most likely a bad MB which could be replaced for $80. What is your opinion of US Cutter vs Vevor? Seriously considering buying this one. My old Panther cutter is only 24" and the original software that I got - won't work with Windows 10. I have all the old disks, etc. Flexi-Sign was the software. too expensive to upgrade. How is the customer support on the Vevor and are there any dealers around the country. USCutter only ships cutters. They don't have any 'shops' around. I'd really love some input. thank you and thanks for the video. If I purchase one - I'll most likely be re-watching it.

I made my son a sign for his popsicles with that magnet. I didn’t realize ,until a month ago, where that roll of magnet came from. I’ve had my machine for over 2 years now 😂
I just bought one because the only software that I know for sure will run my Seiki plotter cost way too much. The only Flexi license I have only works on Wln 7. If I knew Vinylmaster would do it, I would just buy the software. As for the Vinyl that ships with it, it's useless to me, as I use plotters for low tach masking film only.
SignMaster and VinylMaster are from the same company and as far as I can tell are really the same software other than SignMaster comes prepackaged with products.
I have been loooking to do some vinyl work, this machine looks like a good deal for what I am wanting to do. Is it a different type of vinyl that would be used to make vinyl lettering for a vehicle since you don't peel and stick it?

Svg is scalable vector graphic. Not all software will read svg, cdr or ai eps is probably the easiest vector because of all the different software that will read the eps image. Svg is the basic format most crafters use for cricut and other cheap craft cutters.

VERY helpful even for other models (I have a 720T). Thank you so much for taking the time - the instructions manual is very basic.
