I don’t really know why i watched this, since I don’t need one, and i also live in a completely different country
Although i have at one point witnessed one which was similar to this (but had less features) completely lock up, and it stopped responding to any button presses, to this day i have no idea what happened, all I remember is it made a beep while it was being cashed up, and then it was completely unresponsive, even turning the key off and on again did nothing
And while it was in this locked up state, they closed the cash draw, and were then unable to open it again
I ended up getting asked to have a look at it, my solution was to unplug it and plug it back in (and my solution worked)
Hi, please my Sharp XE-A203 cash register which I recently purchased is seeming to be tough to configure. I have tried to change the decimal places from 2 to 0 as the default display figure is 0.00 but it seems not to be changed. Please any directives will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sorry we don't support the XE-203. Sharp is no longer in the cash register business and no support is available.
Hi I have sam4s SPS 500 series cash register I set mix and match product but when I print customer receipt it doesn’t show up discount property . Can you help me is there any settings do I need to do when do mix and match product or print receipt. Discount show up when we scan product but it’s not showing in receipt. Can you help me. when you punch a price in with the number pad, does the secondary customer display show what ur punching in before pressing one of the department keys? sometimes i have people ask a price so i just want to visually show them without registering something on the journal entries
I'll have to check however I don't think it displays until you have entered the price into the open button. If you are scanning there is a price inquiry feature.

Yes, we do it here before we ship the new machine. An end-user really could not do it but we have the tools here. It is also included in the price of the new machine if it is just a general conversion which most are. Is there a way to load pricing and descriptions via a thumbdrive or SD card?
Yes but only if you are backing restoring from another register. I also have an app that you can scan your items on an Android Tablet/Phone and produce a file for importing. Will have more posted on that soon.

I work for a convenience wholesaler. Many of our customers use this register type. We have the ability to create and parse a file in pretty much any format. The customer would tell us their target margins and pricing rules, we'd then apply those pricing rules to their item history and generate a file for them to import. Boom, 3,000 price changes import in about 30 minutes versus 30 days..
We already do this for many customers using back office systems. I'm hoping to learn how we can do this for Sam4s users.

We can do that pretty easily. The end-user does need to connect to a PC with one of the two programs available. We offer a Support Plan that could incorporate importing files like this. Pretty small investment for the end-user. You can also update prices quickly on the app we use.
@@Slo9786 sorry for the late reply. We upload via SD or Flash Drive. Upload that register with a software tool, convert it and install in new machine. We do it all the time with many of the SAM4s models.

The Code works well right out of the box in most cases
how can i set my scanner to read driver license or id to check if the customer is over 18 or under?
You need to add a code scanner with built in age verification. The register has nothing to do with it in that case. Works great and sorts 18 and 21 it will soon be on our bar code scanning page here www.cashregisterguys.com/bc.html
How do you link a bank account (card) for payment?
Hi, you would add a Datacap credit card interface with a pin pad see more here on that www.cashregisterguys.com/integratedccdcprod.html and that will integrate payments with the register. For the most part you can connect to any merchant services company you would like. We can program it for most of them. After that your credit card sales will all go through the register and be deposited in your checking account. Let us know if you need help selecting a merchant services account if you don't already have one. This actually is easier than it seems when you look it up online. We do this nearly everyday for small stores all over the US. Let us know if we can help.
hi i have a sps530 rt would you tell me if i put a memory card will it automatically start storing the plu in it as it says memory full ?
also which is the best barcode scanner that can read almost all lables will b suitable for it and do i have to program or just plug it in the usb port
Hello, no it WILL NOT start storing the PLU's automatically. I would not recommend installing the card until you have been instructed. Memory Full does not only refer to the memory card being full, if you are adding UPC's through the PLU not found feature which is very common it may only be your buffer. The Honeywell 3780 is very popular and reads most items very well. You may have to program the scanner for reading the shorter bar codes. Yes USB is my preferred interface. www.cashregisterguys.com/bc.html for scanners

Depends on the set up you are starting with. You may need to allocate more memory, however that will wipe out your current UPC's so make a back up first. If you have already allocated memory and still require additional space you can add a memory card. Again back up and allocation required. It is almost immposible to fill this machine if you add the memory card. We offer the memory card and support at www.nbsystems.com/
i did put the memory card in the slot which is located inside the printer compartment but dont know how to activate
You should reach out for support at the office. Be careful with the card and don't insert it or remove it under power. There is more to it than inserting the card.
That is the SD card slot for backing up the register. The memory card is a CF card and goes elsewhere. Don't install without unplugging the machine.

Horrible this poped up when I am looking for old cash registers not this digital crap. Hate these digital ones love machine cash registers only.
