I was surprised to see that it was colorless and brown. I get that they were going for a classic scientific illustration style, but they missed the goal this time
This game really could have used so help in the art department. i get that printing in monochrome 2 colors might be cheaper, but vibrant colors and fun cartoonish fish might make this game sell better.
Ray Slover I think they just wanted the look to be as simple as the gameplay. This game has a fishing theme but the theme could be anything in a sense. Could be about killing something or just weird visuals to looks at on the cards. This game seems okay enough to pass the time. It feels homemade, I suppose. Not necessarily a bad thing, though. Just checked the price on meeplesourcedotcom and it’s listed for $25.00 +shipping. Pass. If offered to play I would but not to own.
If you would want more cards, one could take a normal deck of cards. Lets say Ace (1) plus 2/10. Clubs = 1 to 10, Diamonds = 11 to 20, or whatever you want to….. but I don’t think more cards would make it better. Just longer play. I like it short.
Gee, how hard is it to create some coloured fish cards? *Round table design group* "Shall we go with coloured illustrations of the fish or line sketches with this lovely poo brown colour as a background? (consensus around the table) "Poo brown of course!"
This is a game that would benefit a lot by a vibrant box cover with lots of color, like a reef with many fish swimming around. With several thousands of fish species, I find surprising they chose to go with such a small number.
Luke Hector wow! I actually agree with you on something! Not being snarky, but I always find myself shaking my head on your comments/ opinions. Good to see there is a game where we sync up ;). Too long and lucky for what it is.
Hoping for a great 2nd ed. of this game, with more fish and a less drab illustrations.
Only five years to wait until today with AllPlay's kickstarter.
My kids and I are currently having a blast with this game

Why is there not Atleast 100 cards? I fear that it will have low replayability.

This game should have the kind of color palette Evolution has.
I found it went pretty long with 4 players, at least for a game that's complete luck. The deck doesn't go through that fast.
