Hard releasing 3 flying-foxes: Crescent, Bondie and Sinclair
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 гру 2019
- Crescent, Bondie and Sinclair were rescued 4 days ago and none of them were more than inconveniently placed, without any injuries.
They were more than happy to be released though Crescent complained and protested for the entire journey to the release site.
I love to see them wing off into the colony. I love to see them unfurl their wings and let the air fill them as they drop, then the first strong downward stroke as it lifts them from their their drop. I love to see the power in their strokes.
And I love to see them check out the locality before they wing off.
The only bat of the 3 that I rescued was Crescent so there are no other videos of Bondie and Sinclair.
Fly free my sweets. Don't come back. Steer clear of the human obstacles.
Tolga Bat Hospital takes donations for me. Tolga is an awesome place in Far North Queensland, which has charity status. By sending donations to them, they get a percentage (and deserve every cent) and they can allocate money to me for batty expenses without it becoming part of my income stream (which makes tax time difficult).

Mention Megabattie or Meg in the PayPal message box and the money will find its way to me.
If no message box appears, please email Jenny to tell her that the money is for me.
IMPORTANT: If you pay through the PayPal Giving Fund, can you please email Jenny with the AMOUNT DONATED and the name under which you have donated, OR just forward along the PP receipt.
The Giving Fund doesn’t charge any fees (so the bats get more money) but PP doesn’t itemise out the amount, they just send a total every month, and we don’t know if the money is for Tolga or for Megabattie.
Here’s Jenny’s email.

Flying foxes are some of the most adorable creatures I've ever seen. Those faces melt yer heart.
Sky puppies
Gotta love how Crescent was yelling. He wasn’t going to shut up until that cage door opened! A very happy day to see them heading home.
When he got back into the colony he was probably busy phoning his lawyer to complain about illegal detention.
@@Megabattie Lol, or complaining about juice shortage...
Definitely...he was adorable.

I just love you ladies and your devotion to the bats. Thank you! It was wonderful to see three healthy bats returning to the wild.
I love watching them fly off
@@amberlef6076 thank you Amberle very cool 7 lol
The noise that they make is like between a duck and Raven the way it gurgles or sounds like a duck quacking, underwater blowing bubbles. I love 🦇 they're so cute. 😊
Crescents been vocal since his rescue! Outstanding Crescent! Great job! All 3 back with the colony! 👏🏽
Crescent was always a complainer.
It takes all kinds to make a community.
I really enjoy seeing them have a successful release 😊
It is so beautiful to watch their return to their normal lives. Thank you for a the good care you've provided!
No entiendo porque dicen🤣🤣
THIS is what it’s all about ... helping Mother Nature continue her cycle of life 💕
IThinkWithMy Dick: If you don’t believe in animal rescues, you shouldn’t be watching this video. Your comments were off completely topic and you should find videos that cater to your negative view of life. Seek counseling.
@@ca58native13 I like to see animals rescued but personally nature is why these animals either live good lives or die younger than they should. And therefore rescuing them is interfering with nature. But nonetheless its nice to see.
@@johnsmithwesson9996 You must be an American.

Such super human beings. 🎉 may God bless you
"And I have...." right on cue, Crescent lets loose with his best Sir Walter impression 😂
Beautiful release, ladies! Seeing them heading back out where they belong makes my heart happy ❤
Mr. Crescent! Such language 🤣. What a beautiful sight to see them fly off and not look back 💕
I love you ladies. God bless. From cold, snowy northern Michigan, USA

May they have a wonderful life and stay away from power lines, cars and buildings they can't get out of!!! YES!!! Thank you both. xxx 💖💖💖
It always brings a smile to my face to see these beautiful creatures in flight.
Crescent: I demand you set me free!! I was a cat in a former life. You will obey my authority!!
"And I.."
"Eaaaaàahhhhhh!!!!!!"
Bittersweet, but when you lay your head down tonight, you have bragging rights for a spectacular rescue, care for, release story to place in your heart of memories. A good thing, and yes, tears are flowing. Being a rescue mama is the hardest thing I've ever done heartwise. Take care
Be safe sweet ones!! ❤️
Just a beautiful site, seeing them in flight to their forever freedom! Have happy lives babies!
Crescent was saying" Hurry, slave! Lift me up! Open that door! See me soar! I am magnificent!"
I am so happy that you get to have the joy of releasing those batties! It does all of your fans good, too! There is so much stress for you with the rescues and the poor bats that don't survive, even though you have made what is left of their lives better, I'm sure that releasing these bats helps relieve some.
Releasing batties gives us a 24 hour mood boost. WE get high on the excitement of it.
Great job, ladies! I love your sense of humor. It was fantastic seeing their beauty as they flew away. So majestic and truly beautiful.
Love hearing your voice of joy as they fly free.
Oh how wonderful!! So happy cranky Crescent did not have any injuries, other than a potty mouth, tee hee. Marvelous job ladies, so glad to see your hard work pay off.
I can just imagine Crescent saying " damn it woman, can't you walk any faster? I KNOW you are walking slow deliberately!" Happy to see his hard release to get back out there and making more babies! 🦇🥰

One of my favourite ever things is to watch the batties fly off into the colony. It's visible proof that I'm doing something right
Beautiful! So glad they can go back to their natural habitat ❤️
Crescent wanting justice for being detained. The attitude will hopefully get them far in life.🥰
I loved reading your description, dear Meg! I too love the sight of the Flying-Foxes unfurl their majestic wings and fly away! The dip and then the soaring away on those selfsame awesome wings!
Lovely release! Kudos to the carers of these worthy and precious bats!
It's such a wonderful thing watch these beautiful bats fly away free, I wish them all the best and plenty of fruit, and not flying around homes, it'll be the safest thing you'll ever do Batties! 😘

Aww..this was wonderful to watch! Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you for motivation
Better seeing them being cranky than silent! Such beautiful animals!
So beautiful to see when these beautiful bats get released 🦇
Good work,ladies...love to the both of you.🥀🌺🌸
We did an awesome release yesterday and I will post it in a day or 2. Or 3.
The cranky boy was upsetting all the other batties in his cage because he was extremely unhappy being in care. Once he figured out he could go he just took off really strongly and smoothly - Maggie and I had to do TWO high fives to celebrate.
@@Megabattie I cry when you find a new one that’s been hurt,I smile watching you nurse them back to health...then I cry with glad tears, when they are healthy enough to fly free.I am addicted to your channel and your lovely batties.
I have to tell you...in ‘65,my siblings and I found the cutest little black dog, with the face of a flying fox.We named him,Batsie...when we moved,we gave him to an elderly couple that adored him.
The new house didn’t have a fenced in yard and my mom didn’t believe in having dogs in the house and I refused to chain him up.That couple cried when we gave him to them.
Keep doing your wonderful work that some of us are envious of and sometimes frightful of.(I don’t do heights)Have a blessed week...it’s snowing as I write this.
I think Crescent was Taz the Tasmania Devil in another life.
He does kinda sound like one
@@marydelossantos4468 I can imagine what a barrage of obscenities it was if we understood flying fox language!
I absolutely love releasing videos! So happy they all flew so well!
Wonderful good job
Well done you two!!!♥️
You are a poet. 🧡🧡🧡 your words about the release of bats were so beautiful. You made me cry....lol
Thank you for helping and loving them xxx

Yay! It's like graduation day!
Crescent wasn't leaving until he gets the last word. Lol!
Fly free, fly free.we are the night! So wonderful to see them go free, as was meant to be.💟💖💜
Wonderful! nice work!
2:15 the high five made me smile
How great to see them boom out of their cages like that!💗
Love it! This makes me smile!
It made us very happy. We leave the area on a complete happiness high.
Great job ladies ❤️🦇🦇🦇 Try to stay out of trouble beautiful batties!
Yayyyy so happy all were a successful release! You ladies are awesome Great job!
That has go to be the best feeling. The magic of releasing a wild animal back to nature and watching them go happily. Job well done we need more people like you in this world.
It's really heartening to watch them fly off. I really love flying - I love the feeling of the power of the take-off and the actual moment of lift-off. When I see the bats drop then the strength of their subsequent rise in height, I get the same feeling of power and strength and lift.
But the best thing is that I have visual evidence that not everything I rescue dies - that some animals are actually released. And that's so important, specially given how bad this year has been for rescue survival.
-Bat: unhand me you winch 😂😂
Megabattie,ma'am...you and your assistant(s) are amazing stewards to the lower animal kingdom...your diligence is very admirable.
Learned alot!
Thank you for the amazing work!
I love seeing you free them! they are so cute & happy. Thanks Angels for your cause.💗🌞
*parents when their child finally moves out:*
But i bet it feels wonderful knowing you all helped them get to that day 💝
I love letting them go and watching them fly away.
Yay! Crescent was such a robust boy. I’m happy he didn’t have to stay in captivity too long. He’s a very wild & free boy. ❤️
They look majestic in flight. My brother says they are magnificent to watch‼️🦇🦇🦇💕💕💕💕💕👊🏽👊🏽

So happy to see them returning to the wild. I hope that they remember you and your hospitality well.
@john steel Oh, you might be correct...but...would returning be bad for them? I want only what is best for the bats.
How fun! 😁👍
Girl : OK don't come back
Bat : Actually, bye
