I'm gonna say it. This Barbie movie is one of the best ones of 2010s. Barbie isn't too perfect in this one and she makes mistakes. Ken in this one is actually kinda adorable, he's a prince that can fly a ship and loves to eat. I love Salee's character here, where she goes from a solo player to a team player, not to mention ship potential between her and Barbie. The music is outstanding and very beautiful honestly, as well as the animation which is gorgeous. Saving the stars is a very interesting plot and the training scene was fun. The king got on my nerves usually, but i guess he was there to be the villain in a way. Also it's Barbie + Sci-fi. Overall I honestly love this movie, despite how many people hate it. It's honestly better than Princess Power or Spy Squad in my opinion.

Whenever I get friends who have never watched a Barbie film before to sit down and watch them this is the one they end up liking the most. The characters and script is pretty solid (for Barbie) and the animation and backgrounds are honestly really pretty!
@@unknowns78Personally I like the fairytale themes but as a fan of sci-fi settings I appreciated this idea, it was refreshing (even better if it would be both: fairytale and sci-fi combined). Plus Barbie movies abandoned the fairytales a long time ago which is kind of sad :(

Every time I watched this movie I feel bad for king. He sacrificed his whole life to save the world, and it was all for nothing because a girl comes and starts to take over in his own palace, and on top of that, she takes away his dreams by dancing with the stars and, of course, saving the world. That is just sad

Out of the things I remember not liking, one was the really jarring transitions from their normal talking voices to their super-polished singing voices. Another big thing was the fact that the first 95% of the movie was preparing for the epic mission that actually took like 5 minutes to watch. Plus the ending made no logical sense, even if you just accept the fact that some people in the movie have magic powers. But other than that, this movie was really creative and visually beautiful. The song Firefly was good too.
