I guess because the movie they are referencing have somethings in common. Like princesses and rockstars. Or maybe they are both in the same universe

Rock'n Royals was them trying to do Princess and the Popstar again but with some inspo from Charm School aswell while Princess and the Popstar all along was supposed to be a more modern version of Barbie Princess and the Pauper. (which no just no) and honestly the whole crystal fairies and random objects that give a make over thing from PAP also gave Fashionfairytale a bit. So yeah welcome to in to the Barbieverse.

Despite this film being the cheesiest of Barbie movie plots, I was literally obsessed with it as a kid. I thought the difference in character designs for each princess and rocker was amazing and I stand by the fact that the music infinity slaps

By the way, the blue teddy bear at 1:47 was in Barbie and The Secret Door, the judge in the middle (as 5:26) was the king in Barbie Princess Power, and the judge on the right (5:30) looks suspiciously similar to Odette from Barbie in The Pink Shoes, but with brown eyes.
