The Last Knight I've just found out about him about 3-4 months ago and use some of his tactics in my fights, they work wonders. I recommend green fury myself.
As a Zero main that is very disciplined in my attacking and defense, I can agree that many of these techniques are still used today, May 8th 2021. Most of which I learned through trial and error rather than guides from this guy. I can say with confidence that Green Fury is probably the best person to learn Energy Fighting from on UA-cam. Surprised to see such good Zero gameplay from an awesome energy fighter.
Gaijin has an algorithm that favors this guy. Think thru the inconsistent damage and hits! Think thru ufo’s! Think thru bot pilots(posing as players). Why do you think most of these “good how to’s, are years old posts? Profit or physics. Get it?🙏🔑✌️
I actually learned to dodge BnZ in GTA 😂 I fly the GTA version of the ME 163, which can turn amazingly but it's essentially a glider with a rocket, so I always had to evade head on attacks at last second and use my missiles as a fishing rod to try to get him stuck dodging them and shoot with the machine guns. What I always do there and replicated with some success in WT was to go head on but at a slight angle, then I try to look at his plane to see when they turn for me. The moment they turn is the moment I do a barrel roll around them as they try to get guns. From there I just start turn fighting. I've always been a lot better in defensive than BnZ attacks, I usually use maneuvering a whole lot more than just hit and run, especially because BnZ requires great accuracy to hit while turn fighting allows more time to aim properly
Essentially it just involves dodging the attack and trying to get guns if possible, but mostly defensive flying until the attacker gives up or runs out of ammo. Turn fighters are mostly meant to defend an area, to stay there while avoiding danger, while BnZ are meant to get in, hit and get out, but the BnZ plane needs to leave the area to get some altitude and speed again for another run. Also, I tend to fly very low with turn fighters to avoid too high speed and ambitious BnZ dives, but it can bite me because less speed also means less compression and therefore harder to dodge the attack, but also gives an opportunity to try and get guns
Very nicely demonstrated, GF. It does sound counter intuitive to a lot of pilots. You're right. I find enemy pilots wind up making even more mistakes when you loop in front of them. They think "oh, this guy is an idiot... he pulled up right in front of me... easy kill". Not so fast, sunshine. Before they know it, it's back to the hangar.
Have you ever tried outrunning a turn fighter in a BnZ’er like a d30 vs mk9 spit. I’ve got one move but it almost works every time. You start much like this by gaining speed and approaching slightly low and to one side. As they get into gun range I quickly roll to the opposite side about 15 degrees and nose down hard. They always try to aim but they don’t realize they are out of time. You then pull straight up, dumping speed. They also pull up but usually compress or black out because they were at a higher speed and more steep of an angle before they pulled up. Your turn circle is almost always inside theirs and you catch them at the top when they are stalling.
Heyyy thats a really good move, that would be amazing if you can send me a recording of it. that move would work amazing against an a7m, as those things can pull hard G's. I do something similar in this video ua-cam.com/video/07QwukZhodA/v-deo.html - reason why i drag them like this is because , 1) i can bait them for a team mate 2) keep my speed up so i don't get bounced. your concept really interests me i'm going to try it out and see how it goes
I was doing it in energy fighters like fw bc it have good roll rate and mostly when i went in good direction i was ending at his tail but never thought it works in dogfighters thanks a lot!
Its work against potato players. The thing is: the Zero has no chance against for example a D30, but even a D5, if the Murrican pilot knows, what he is doing.
For me, I just try to make them lose as much kinetic energy as possible. Either by forcing them to climb and stall if i have speed/altitude advantage or do like what you do and just dodge their fire and annoy them by making them waste their energy. Though I tend to be super uneasy if I'm stalling or at really low speeds which is why I tend to be over 300km/h.
Nice nice bro. And yes be careful not to turm too fast and end in fron if his guns, zero can turn on a dime. I manage few times to turn to soon and end up in front of enemy LoL for a easy kill (for him) + too all noobs, get your zero on altitude with no space to fly you are easy target for good bnz pilot.
#OUTSTANDING defense video #Question: Does this work in a #dogfight against a BF/ME 109 E or G vs. YAK 3 or 9 ? How to defend against an energy fighter like the German BF109 series vs. Soviet YAK series fighter?
Dang. I wish I'd found your channel *before* I uninstalled the game in a hissy fit, ha ha. Hey uh, do you have a "how to set up your controls for air RB green fury way" up anywhere? I think it might be good for noobies and oldnoobs like myself, 'cause I can't seem to figure out a secure scheme out myself and it appears to be a common problem.
What you say is not wrong, I do it too, but it won't work with seasoned pilots that will just go straight if they can't fire at you, and turn back only when they re at least 6km away
Nice will try to get used to the distance at which to make the move I do love my turn fighters but watching a bnzer fly up and away is frustrating as hell lol I’ve got to improve my aim too lol I really suck at the moment
Watcha do is nothing. The Freedom-47 or Capitalist-51 pilot is so used to the Grorious zero trying to turn away that they won't know what to do and crash.
Because it's a tactic for countering an inherent advantage one plane has over another. A tactic that gets used over and over again will then in turn be countered, especially in a competitive meta such as War Thunder. Now the Zero has been uptiered a gazillion times, not helping either, you're facing more experienced pilots as a matter of course. So it's better to vary your attacks and queue's for attack, keep your opponent guessing, be fluid and tactile in how you give them new questions to answer and problems to solve.
How to not get BnZ'd in a turn fighter. Step 1: Stop flying turn fighters Step 2: Research American/ German tt and grab BnZ planes Step 3: If you miss on your first pass just run away
I know I ask you too much, but can you do some video editig and brighten video a bit, some parts are realy dark. I know it is not two click thing to do but :-)
I always do the first technique in my zero. It works pretty well, but not great for good BnZer pilot. But the second maneuver (loop down), DAMN, time to get my ass back to the Zeroes ^^ . Thx for the tips!
hey mate I use G force experience , try having a look in your own PC to see if you got it. if you are going to use G force experience please down load a software called 'Handbreak '
Green Fury i am play in my laptop, yes my laptop has NVidia G940MX but it doesnt have Ansel or something to record from nvidia itself, yeah the velocity is so damn low, i cant even finish a stall Narval on 1 pass xD xD
none of those pilots was experienced. A good p51 pilot would of just gently climbed away with his energy and left you miles behind after losing your energy turning.
Hell yeah i do. i just got alot on, i been looking after a friend of mine whos been sick while working a full time job, but i still drop a video in here and there
Oh sounds great, can you please make a video about bombing targets by fighters.. Because i found it hard for me especially when i am playing tanks RB i can't be accurate, if you have free time of course.
Nah, if you strictly BnZ the F4U will own the A6M if you don't make mistakes. The only reason why Green Fury was able to do this was because he baited the players to follow him up.
If you want to learn how to be a better pilot in War Thunder RB THIS is the guy you should come to.
thanks mate
The Last Knight I've just found out about him about 3-4 months ago and use some of his tactics in my fights, they work wonders. I recommend green fury myself.
This tactic is actually genius not gonna lie
or other good youtubers too
Still is true. =)

Turn fighters with decent roll rates. Thank you Green Fury
I am a boom and zoom, i am here to learn the tactics not to use them but to expect these tactics.
Essentially it just involves dodging the attack and trying to get guns if possible, but mostly defensive flying until the attacker gives up or runs out of ammo. Solid tactics and straight to the point.
You make really good content, its clear, well explained and u r nice to listent to. Keap it up!
5:40
*teleports behind you*
NANI?!
Hey Green thanks for the video tried this tactic and it worked beautifully every time!! keep up the good work !!
hey mate thanks, i remember you Mark as you were on of my 1st ever subs, thanks for the support mate
Great video! I picked up this trick while flying the 109 F4 in arcade. Hopefully, Japanese pilots will find this video.

its a game of cat and mouse. its a great way to bait for a team mate as well.
epic final kill
*inserts "the good, the bad and the ugly" music
I'm russian and it's the first time I'm really glad that i learned english in school, you explain tactics soooo much better then the russian bloggers
this was actually hella helpful, i keep getting shot down by 109s and p47s diving from 2000m above

Excellent stuff man, thanks.

You killed me, remember? I use my P-47 lol
just started grinding the japanese tree, this really helped!
hey man, I posted your vid on Reddit, if you want me to take it down just give me the word. Good video though, keep up the good work!
thanks for the love mate!
milk__shake shows us the average skill ceiling of p47 pilots LOL
Lmao true
Its work against potato players. The thing is: the Zero has no chance against for example a D30, but even a D5, if the Murrican pilot knows, what he is doing.
No they are too arrogant sometimes so make them dogfight you.
There is that "Veteran" sticker :D
For me, I just try to make them lose as much kinetic energy as possible. Either by forcing them to climb and stall if i have speed/altitude advantage or do like what you do and just dodge their fire and annoy them by making them waste their energy.

When the opponent is clueless, REALLY bad flying (pointing the nose at every opponent below you) can beat worthless flying.
Love this video! By the ping rate, I guess you are in Australia or New Zealand!
yeah mate aussie here
Thank you for this. Now I enjoy my japanese Zero!
he kinda sounds like a european Matthew McConaughey
"aviod gunfire" is 90% luck
Speed above 450mph is all you need and some basic dodging will do. It's extremely hard to aim at the opposition on high speed merge.
Nice nice bro.
And yes be careful not to turm too fast and end in fron if his guns, zero can turn on a dime. I manage few times to turn to soon and end up in front of enemy LoL for a easy kill (for him)
+ too all noobs, get your zero on altitude with no space to fly you are easy target for good bnz pilot.
Can you please do a video on how to play the Ki-87? I have it and don't completely understand how to play it
#OUTSTANDING defense video
#Question: Does this work in a #dogfight against a BF/ME 109 E or G vs. YAK 3 or 9 ?
How to defend against an energy fighter like the German BF109 series vs. Soviet YAK series fighter?
Amazing stuff man!! Keep it up 👍👍

Why do you always sound like you're trying to sell me drugs?
Hey green fury, could you do a guide on how to fly the Typhoon mk 1b/late?
Tsubame gaeshi (*´꒳`*)
What you say is not wrong, I do it too, but it won't work with seasoned pilots that will just go straight if they can't fire at you, and turn back only when they re at least 6km away
Nice job bro, you even made it more hard for U.S planes to kill Japanese plane (sarcasticly)
The Israeli's used this looping technique during the Seven Day war, they called it "Let him Pass"
Could you do a tutorial about defensive flying tactics in an less maneuvrable energyfighter?
Nice will try to get used to the distance at which to make the move I do love my turn fighters but watching a bnzer fly up and away is frustrating as hell lol I’ve got to improve my aim too lol I really suck at the moment
Very nice.
That’s great, but can you show it being done in a spitfire?
Watcha do is nothing. The Freedom-47 or Capitalist-51 pilot is so used to the Grorious zero trying to turn away that they won't know what to do and crash.
Damn uptiers...
Love the content! Have you ever thought of doing livestreams?
yeah mate, little later on,a mate and myself we are going to live stream. we just have really bad internet right now.
Awesome content bro
Will you make a tutorial how to boom & zoom?
there is already a boom and zoom tactics
ua-cam.com/video/7RR5gysmZgg/v-deo.html
while you turn an loop at 2:11 you have pressed C for free camera? how do you make the camera stay close the target with out press shift?
zoom bro
@@GreenFuryGaming just right click? Or that camera that follow the target?
Does this work well in an A7M2 or is the reppu too big?
if im in a p51h and a jet is diving on me (262, he162 or smth) would this also work?
Wouldn't it always be better to loop down then? Since you get more speed and are always more likely to end up closer behind your enemy?
Because it's a tactic for countering an inherent advantage one plane has over another.

Well.. pretty awesome :D
Lord Of Foxes the last one is right trough the P51's engine and blew it up
Herdi Budi Hermawan yup ;D when you get critical hit on enemy, you will know he's done ;)
Lord Of Foxes not really when you try to shootdown an italian aircraft, after its burnt, the fire goes and it fly like nothing is happens xD
How to not get BnZ'd in a turn fighter.
Step 1: Stop flying turn fighters
Step 2: Research American/ German tt and grab BnZ planes
Step 3: If you miss on your first pass just run away
What if they rope a dope you while trying to do this, there is no way to win if they do, then they would get away and try multiple times.
I recognize the names of some of the enemy players shot down in this vid, are the US servers really that small or is there something I'm missing here?
Recording at 2am gone wrong***
Now how not to be Bnzed by a turn fighter in a bnzer xD jk
the sound
We should be friends. Im a huge turn fighter fan lol.
what plane is the best turn fighter any tier, if i want to out turn someone in a custom battle what would be the plane for it
I know I ask you too much, but can you do some video editig and brighten video a bit, some parts are realy dark.
I know it is not two click thing to do but :-)
I always do the first technique in my zero. It works pretty well, but not great for good BnZer pilot.
But the second maneuver (loop down), DAMN, time to get my ass back to the Zeroes ^^ . Thx for the tips!
Check your audio, its super quite.
Why do you make both the enemies and allies the same colour
Hi, was wondering if you'd mind making a video for console players?
What apps do you use for record your vids mate?
And would you like to make a tutorial how to aim with MG131?
hey mate I use G force experience , try having a look in your own PC to see if you got it.
if you are going to use G force experience please down load a software called 'Handbreak '
no...lol i feel like the velocity has been nerfed so much that the only thing you can do is hit enemies who are flying under 300 kmph lol
Green Fury i am play in my laptop, yes my laptop has NVidia G940MX but it doesnt have Ansel or something to record from nvidia itself, yeah the velocity is so damn low, i cant even finish a stall Narval on 1 pass xD xD
Where do your guns Target best at?
none of those pilots was experienced. A good p51 pilot would of just gently climbed away with his energy and left you miles behind after losing your energy turning.
ty bro
nice!!!
Can you do some p51h love?
4:42 what's so dangerous in following?
The zero compresses at higher speeds and can't keep up with the P-51.
humm very hard to avoid that fire before the loop ? i tryed this couldnt do it ?
that's because you didn't evaded his gunfire
you need to turn a bit away from his incoming fire
i wish war thunder would have a training mode ..were planes fire blanks i still cant get it
Thanks for this video lol helped me get a 4 kill match lol
How are you keeping your eyes on him in your loop? I bet you aren't using a head tracker.
Free look
Do you still playing this game mate?
Hell yeah i do. i just got alot on, i been looking after a friend of mine whos been sick while working a full time job, but i still drop a video in here and there
Oh sounds great, can you please make a video about bombing targets by fighters.. Because i found it hard for me especially when i am playing tanks RB i can't be accurate, if you have free time of course.
A6Ms > F4Us
in this game lol
Nah, if you strictly BnZ the F4U will own the A6M if you don't make mistakes. The only reason why Green Fury was able to do this was because he baited the players to follow him up.
