Thanks for a prop pitch trick, didn't know that 1 also using flaps to stay longer in the air instead of falling on an enemy is something i need to try out.I find high alt. fighting very difficult at the moment. There are two ways the game develops for me when i climb, I either overclimb and dive on them like an idiot ripping my wings off cos i dont remember red speeds , or i dont climb enough and meet them a bit highier than me , which doesn't always end well :)
when I started i went through the same problems as you, heres an idea, think of where the enemies are flying when they take off, and come around just behind them. I usually do this in events but it helps you to ambush the enemy from the sides
green, i found a solution to my "not climbing enough" problem. here it is , correct me if im wrong: when u meet them slightly highier than u , fly straight below them,NEVER turn or anything just avoid headon and ones u pass them shallow climb in a straight, when they split s to chase u , all of the sudden u are highier and faster XD...and u know , what to do with that situation :p , what im getting at is , maybe climb is not always required or maybe i never flown with a competent fighter, what do u think about that tactic?
Nice work. It looks like the did nerf the 50 cals again didnt they? I had been grinding that -4 and the guns just don't want to work. I usually use ground targets though.
Good fighting, although I don't know how the prop pitch affects control stiffening. I use manual prop pitch when I can, which is mostly on American planes, 100% for climbing and 90% for most combat. I think It should only affect engine RPM and have no effect on the control surfaces.
what i mean was the torque which the blades create, is the problem, what I'm talking about is more evident in a tempest MK V, when Im doing 600 - 700 kmph, putting my prop pitch down to 80 % makes a huge difference when i have to get my guns on target, its not much in the f4u but it still helps a little, I tested the p47N out with auto prop pitch vs manual, auto prop pitch works a lot better for speed im really bad with analogies, but here i go..imagine if your sitting on a go kart, if you just hammer the gas, the wheels spin, go side ways a bit, and you finally get going a little later, its like that..but if you go at the right speeds, you get a better start.
Great job, but doesn't the F4U tend to bleed energy in vertical maneuvers? It seems to me like you'd be dead if any enemies had a similar energy state.
Nice flying. I think they fixed it's FM slightly since when it was launched. Now the overheating is still pretty bad, at least in Auto Mode. What MEC setting are you using?
They did say they changed the behavior in Arcade Battles, but that update didn't say anything about RB. @Green Fury, would you say that the wobble is no longer as real as it was before? :o
isnt it weird, for a fighter thats about speed and engine power, how it stiffens up, the f6f got better performance than the f4u4 in certain situations lol
rads 50-60% prop pitch - auto in normal flights , when diving putting it down to 80% 90% 2nd gear - around 1600 meters, 3rd gear 6700 meters vertical targeting - yes convergence - 400 meters
Lower pitch also cools engine better than any radiator setting. Like P-47M best setup: Both radiators 15%, Pitch 95%, MiXture 82% and Turbocharger 1900RPM (chek cockpit) for eXtra Hp even in low alt. Going over 2000rpm will break it almost immediatly, 1950 works but might peak over 2000 so I found 1900 safe. With this setup you have infinite WEP without overheating, it does about 108% of normal WEPs power, but definitely worth it. (Caps X for trackIr centering, I have to do it capped as typing normally wont work.)
it got limited wep, the only thing it can do in lower alts is run, at high speeds the combats break off easily & rudder and elevators stiffen up. but in a squadron of 3-4 man teams both fighters are deadly, I flew in a 4 man team, we tore through the enemy flying alone its pretty frustrating in US teams, pretty good bomb load out though. Hope this helped XD
Everytime you decrease your prop pitch like that, you are decreasing your horsepower substantially and killing your acceleration. You should only decrease your prop pitch in high speed situations, near your top speed.
Green Fury Okay It seems you can’t open landing flaps with “Toggle Flaps” button, you need to assign a button for “Flaps Down” for landing flaps if anybody else wonders...
Can anybody give me tops how to use the f4u correctly bc when I climb it take a long time and the enemy would always shoot at me and I would explode AND I need tips how to dive on some one bc I would always over shoot
yes you can, you have to make sure you have higher speeds than the enemy before going into the merge. but remember.....p51d30 have a high stall speed , so it maybe risky
Watching your vids made me enjoy US planes and fly them alot better :) Always look forward to the next video!
Yo Green It's Legio, I never knew you are a youtuber. Nice to see you've honed in your high alt fighting style :).
hey buddy hit me up in game sometimes
Absolutely beautiful flying and good, focused commentary. I don't know how your Channel hasn't grown further

You deserve more views

after hitting that bf 109 so many times i wanted to ram it lol

That makes more sense, the way you said it I thought you meant like the control stiffening from going fast.

Can you do a video on the P-51H? I'm really struggling to get it to work, especially against jets.
Im going to wait till its Br is changed, XD
Its a great bnz plane, and when you are against jets you can outturn them
High altitude energy-dogfighter against props. BnZ against jets

It definitely has changed for RB too. I did some tests before and pre patch and while not everything is fixed, I found it to behave a bit better.

I’m having trouble with yaks in this plane cause they don’t bait into the verticals with me
is it still useful where u use prop pitch to get better control at high speed?
When do you switch your third super charger gear? I was thinking 5-6K altitude
is 50cal got nerf again ?? as i can see in your vid it take you time to kill a plane
definitely caused by ping over 300 ;)
If this corasir had cannons, that bf109 would have died 100 times.
Thank you for this video
Should i spend money on the F4U 4 or i wait for F4U 4B? :/

flying alone its pretty frustrating in US teams, pretty good bomb load out though.
Hope this helped XD
Green Fury lol helped alot :p tnx, and in american teams the major tip is : dont trust the team if you are alone
Always works
What ammo and convergence do you use? That last 109 was one tought hun to kill. Personaly I go with ground belt.
I used to use GB, i love using stealth now days, also 300 meters, i like it up close XD
Everytime you decrease your prop pitch like that, you are decreasing your horsepower substantially and killing your acceleration. You should only decrease your prop pitch in high speed situations, near your top speed.
what's your control settings on those flaps and prop?
Can someone explain me how can I open the landing flaps? If I toggle flaps it’s only combat and flaps off. Is there an extra key for landing flaps??
Look up manual engine settings and look up your normal control setting
@@GreenFuryGaming Thanks fury i will check it out! i was just reading your comment on WhooptieDo lol

Hi mam I played a couple matches with you, my nick is green vessel
Can anybody give me tops how to use the f4u correctly bc when I climb it take a long time and the enemy would always shoot at me and I would explode AND I need tips how to dive on some one bc I would always over shoot
U suck
I know
do this tactics work in p51d30 ??
yes you can, you have to make sure you have higher speeds than the enemy before going into the merge. but remember.....p51d30 have a high stall speed , so it maybe risky
bf 109 are sturdy
The issue is climbing
Sup greeen
hey hey
